L.D. Goffigan writes fast-paced thrillers and action-adventure with historical intrigue.
She is passionate about history, adventure, thrillers, and hidden mysteries waiting to be uncovered…
She studied film and dramatic writing at New York University. When not writing, you can find her traveling to places she’s never been, reading the latest thriller which has her on the edge of her seat, watching a documentary about ancient mysteries, or seeking her next adventure.
Let’s start by saying Narrator nailed the whole story, period.
Now around the content, I appreciate the development of Adrian and Nick, but honestly the whole story felt a bit lackluster, never actually felt the whole “world in danger” part and the secret societies are rampant here, it’s entertaining, but the formula will get real boring real fast, I hope L.D will make some better twists in the next installments of Adrian West Adventures.
She writes the same story over and over. No character development. Clumsy writing. Needs an editor desperately. Let's try escaping without backing a chair into the wall and attacking the current madman from a secret society with a chair leg. Let's try giving the bad guys --what the heck -- a full 5 minutes before showing up????
I really enjoy this series because it scratches the itch for history and fiction all in one go. Again, same complaints as the last book in the series. The story follows the same plug and play plot line. The only things that change are places and names. But for a quick, enjoyable read, it hits all the marks.
The Atlantis Conspiracy was good reading! Since I also believe that the mythological city did exist is the long distant past, it fascinated me to read another adventure story set around it. Reading another Adrian West novel was thrilling to say the least. A well written adventure story. Looking forward to the next installment of the Adrian West series!
Love the series and will keep enjoying it. Author does a great job with research, I enjoy googling the locations of historical items she mentions. Hoping we mix up the plot a bit with the insert secret society + another archaeologist + a rich benefactor could be getting stale. Looking forward to starting the next book in short order.
One of the better written fantasy novels of finding Atlantis. LD Goffigan is one of my favorite authors I really like the characters Adrian West and her friend Athena. They are badass characters that have non equal. A lot of adventure and surprises along the way
A great read for anyone who likes adventures. I love the two main characters and am glad they(spoiler alert) have finally gotten togeather. Character development is excellent as each person is an individual with a unique back story. Keep these adventures coming!
Fast paced action and intrigue that never lets you catch your breath. The characters are growing and are easy to believe in. I really like this book and I highly recommend it.
This is one of a series that I've read. Each book is just as thrilling in content. You feel like you are right with the characters jumping from country to country as the story unfolds!
I’ve read all three books in the series and have loved them all. I highly recommend them to anyone who enjoys reading books on adventure, history and archeology.
