This was not great.
There was very little build up to the MCs’ relationship and the tension seemed manufactured (Rhys running away because he “likes to travel”? Wasn’t buying it). Also, the shifter aspect came in at the very last moment — for what?? Could’ve just left it out and nothing would’ve been different.

I must admit that I’m a Fel Fern fan. This was another sweet Alpha/Omega story. I wish it had been longer.

2/5 stars, this was fun, cute, but so poorly edited and formatted it feels like a straight up insult. Editing can be expensive so I get editing your own stuff as an indie author, but I have learned the hard way both as a reader and a writer that if you are going to edit your own work, you need to put in three times the amount of work and effort others would, and that's just the reality of it. This author didn't do that.
Formatting was weird with no first line indents for paragraphs which threw me off, there's plenty of grammatical errors, misused pronouns here and there for some side characters (a female character being referred to with 'his' a male character being referred to with 'hers' etc, only once or twice but still annoying), and a few repeated words.
More than that it read like a first draft. It was rough. There were a billion unnecessary paragraph breaks. So many paragraphs are one sentence long, and it's a sentence that should have been folded into the previous or following paragraph. It felt so amateur and messy.
That said, the writing style *is* easy and compulsively readable, it flows well, and it does get hard to put down. The romance itself is very sweet and full of simple wish-fulfillment; we all want a hot dilf to rescue us from life and coddle us and tell us what a cute special boy we are, right? No? Just me? Okay so Rhys and Nolan are super cute together. Rhys is 20 and Nolan is 40 which is a pretty dicey age difference but it's a kinky short romance so I can roll with it, whatever - most of the novel is them at home together being cute and cozy and that is almost entirely what I wanted from this.
The fact that they're werewolves is only mentioned once or twice and is such a funny, goofy afterthought to me. Every time it comes up its like "Oh yeah, you guys are literal werewolves" because it has nothing to do with anything else in the plot whatsoever, or the worldbuilding. Curious how men being able to get pregnant and werewolves existing would shape human culture and ideology and daily life? Too bad because we don't even get one or two throwaway lines about it. If you're not going to have cool werewolf worldbuilding you could at least throw in one or two superficial lines PRETENDING you do!
Anyway this probably didn't deserve two full stars but I had fun with it anyway but this does severely need two or three more rounds of edits to shore up what's promising and clean up the messiness.
Still cute and worth reading if you need some light wholesome fluff.

Disappointing, lame, boring, no emotional development.
I thought this would have some angst around the forbidden/age-gap aspect but it didn't. I thought the author might reveal some awful traumatic moment for Rhys, but he was just a spoiled (and admittedly somewhat emotionally neglected) kid whose boyfriend ditched him after he'd spent all of his inheritance on travelling and had to go back to his hometown.
I can’t believe they didn’t even consider they might get pregnant while having unsafe sex. *insert shocked pikachu meme* This is a relatively common omegaverse trope that never fails to annoy me.

I really enjoy reading alpha/omega gay romances and Fel Fern really keeps them short and sweet with steam..and this current one doesn't disappoint. Saving Rhys was a story about a young man with an adventurous spirit who fell on hard times. These hard times lead him back to his hometown where he ends up at his late alpha dad's best friend door. Once Rhys knocks on Nolan's door after two years everything changes for the young man. Rhys has always had a crush on the older alpha and seeing him only intensifies the attraction. The attraction is mutual. Nolan wants the young omega but is willing to be his caregiver and put his feelings to the side. Nolan helps Rhys realize that people can be trustworthy and there is no harm in allowing people to help him in time of need. Nolan ends up "saving" Rhys but Rhys also saves Nolan by bringing love to his life that was filled with loneliness. The ending was delightful with a nice HEA for both with wonderful family.

I found the writing of this book to be rather odd. Even so, the first half was an interesting read. I like the dog rescuing and the fact that MCs took some time to try to get to know each other. By the time I was in the second half I was quickly losing interest. The text was getting distracting to read and Rhys was acting strange.
As for the writing; there are odd word choices, words in strange order, some words are missing, sentence structures that don't make sense and mixing of past and present tense. Also, since when are people in their 50s elderly? The text could have used some serious editing.
The shifter thing had a very small impact on the story, to the point where I wonder why it's even written as a shifter story. It's almost like the author forgot they were writing a shifter romance and then at a few points remembered and threw some quick wolf references in there. And the knotting was the strangest knotting I've ever come across. One might wonder if Nolan should visit the doctor to check if everything is working as intended...

I really enjoyed reading this delightful MM/Mpreg age-gap romance with a bit of a “second-chance” undertone. The plot is well-paced & full of emotional events that are well-described. The characters are rather complex individuals that face some emotional challenges & indecisions in their journey throughout the storyline. In particular, I liked how their personalities were portrayed as loving & kind toward the dogs.
There is: a desperate & homeless young male omega (Rhys Matthews) knocks on the door of a retired alpha male cop (Nolan, who was best friends with the decreased parents of Rhys) & he offers Rhys a helping hand while trying to ignore the obvious attractions between them, some mild twists, drama, intrigue, memories, emotional turmoil, fantasies, insecurity, distractions, chemistry, attractions, declarations, determination, doubts, regrets, decisions, surprises, contentment, some steam, love, & a heartwarming, happy conclusion.

Rhys has returned to his hometown broke and homeless. Nolan is his deceased father best friend and he’s also his longtime crush. The alpha has always been who he wants. So when they end up roommates there live story was inevitable. But Rhys might sabotage it before it even begins. This is a short and sweet alpha/omega non shifter m/m love story. Fel Fern is one of my favourite in the genre. So it definitely a great read.

Twenty years is quite an age gap and for Nolan it feels like it's too big. That he's feeling this for the son of a dead friend pushes the envelope of what's acceptable just that much further. Rhys is hoping that his father's friend will give him temporary shelter when he arrives drenched with rain, finding a home with the alpha he has a crush on is more than he could hope for. Love doesn't follow the rules we set for ourselves or those that society expects. When love strikes nothing else matters.

Didn’t care for this one. I realize it was short but there was no connection between the MCs, and there were random details thrown in without full info. Wolf shifter? Mentioned in passing when they shifted one time. No heats mentioned in the book…. The alpha MC knotted the other MC once but in the other spicy scene in the book it wasn’t mentioned and kind of implied there was no knotting.

Logan offered much more. Rhys had been attracted to Logan for years and soon the attraction between them flared and they fell in love. The wanderlust Rhys settles down with Logan and their family.

Rhys knocks on Nolan's door. Nolan was friends with his dad's before they died. Nolan takes him in and is patient with Rhys and asks nothing of him. Eventually they give in to the intense feelings they have for each other. Rhys starts to run again, but stops and runs back to Nolan. Love the ending!!

A touching novella, a lost and lonely Omega, confused about what he wants in life after the death of his fathers, he reaches out to a family friend. Nolan, an Alpha, is the best thing at the right time, he saves Rhys from himself. My first with this author, it's a bittersweet tale, no complicated plot, but we do get a couple of gorgeous dogs thrown in. A lovely read.

It’s a nice story, captivating and romantic but it feels a bit hurried. She also needs a better proofreader, it’s a bit to much of calling women “he” and things like that. And she made a big deal about the alphas green eyes in the beginning but then the kids have his blue eyes. It’s such a little thing but it’s really irritating.

How Rhys talked about himself kept me wondering if bad thing happened to him while he was homeless. It made less enjoyable read for me because I already pictured him as a careless young man who made reckless decision in his life.

Age gap, hurt/comfort, sweet HEA
Rhys couldn’t fall much lower and had no plan. Nolan sees a soggy wet shivering starving mess and welcomes him in. Within days mutual attraction takes over, there’s a bit of a wobble, and a glorious HEA.
