It was supposed to be a fun weekend away. But it all went wrong…

It’s one that could ruin each of their lives, which is why they make their pact - They agree to tell no one else what happened while they were away.
As long as they can do that, they should be fine. That is until somebody else threatens to share their secret, a dangerous third party who the friends cannot risk underestimating. This started out very promising. The three POVs worked well, and I was very much invested in the story and how it would all turn out. The ending ruined it for me however. The twist felt forced and I didn’t quite buy the motivation for one of the POVs. Still an enjoyable read!
Wow! I'm suffering still from disappearing reviews. Oh, well, let me try to reconstruct this one. This is the story of three young women heading out of town for an all girl pre wedding celebration. Too much sun (maybe) and too much alcohol (probably) lead to serious events. Back home, these secrets bring out the worst in personalities. I think it is true that we don't know the deepest parts of our friends. A little scary because it's so real. Very enjoyable.
DNF at 47%. I love Daniel Hurst and this may very well just be a mismatch for me, but I could not find anything of interest here. The three main characters had a good amount of depth, but I really felt a disconnect. Sometimes men can write women well. God knows that I tried my best. But there are a majority of instances were some key things are lost in translation, which is how it felt here. The women’s dialogue and behavior just reeked of what a man assumed would happen during a ‘hen do,’ and even the lead ups to the bachelorette getaway. Very typical, expected situations, with nothing unique or special. Again, I may take some heat here, but that’s just my opinion. I wish that I could have gone another 120 pages to finish this, but I couldn’t do it.
Another fabulous book by Daniel Hurst. 3 friends get together for a "hin du', Being from the USA, it took me awhile to figure out what a "hin du" was but its what we call a bachlorette party . I even googled it and couldn't find anything on it. Anyway, 3 best friends go to Portugal for their' friends weekend get away and EVERYTHING that can go wrong does! I loved it and I was glued to the pages till the end. This must be my 20th book by him and I love all this narrators he uses for his audio books. Lots of twists and turns thrown in which made it even better. Highly recommend!!
Jane is getting married, which means she's having a bachelorette party--or in British speak, a hen do. She invites her friend Angela who she really only knows through her fiance and Angela's friend Maya who she doesn't know much at all. They head to Portugal for some sun, beach, drinks, and fun. They get more than they bargained for . . .
This story is told from each of the three women's perspectives. Angela is a typical middle-aged mom and wife. Maya is a new divorcee with a bit of an attitude and a lit of selfishness. Jane is a quiet, shy thing who doesn't quite fit in . . . anywhere. This story is slow despite being so short as there's a lot of drama but only two real incidents of thrill in the whole book. The " big twist" is predictable.
All in all, it was okay. It could have been shorter or had more suspense and twists. It also needs a much better editor.
Three friends Jane, maya and Angela head off for a hen do in Portugal for the weekend to celebrate before Janes upcoming wedding. There is tension between the women before they even arrive in Portugal and the one night they let their hair down it ends in cheating and murder.
Back on British soil they assume the secrets will remain in Portugal but one of the friends has secrets of her own which she has brought back with her that could shatter all three of their lives.
3.5 stars. When three women head to Portugal for a pre-wedding celebration, their dream vacation turns into a nightmare, and they agree to tell no one about what really happened on their weekend getaway. Back at home, their loyalties are tested when it appears that their secrets are about to be exposed. Told from the alternating viewpoints of each woman, this was a fast-paced, twisty popcorn thriller. I find that I prefer the earlier Daniel Hurst books to his latest thrillers. He may be cranking them out too quickly these days.
If your intelligence is so low that you cannot remember the plot’s setting or relationship between the main characters, you’re in luck because this book reminds you in every paragraph.
If you enjoy reading ominous-sounding foreshadowing at the end of every single chapter followed by no action, this book will be right up your alley.
If you like to read the inner dialogue of women who speak in such unrealistic ways it takes you completely out of the story and makes you think you’re being trolled by someone from r/menwritingwomen, run — don’t walk! — to get yourself a copy of this literature.
Unfortunately, I do not meet any of the above criteria and had to abandon this book less than 75 pages in before my head exploded.
This is an easy, thoroughly enjoyable finish in a day read. It revolves around Jane, a lonely woman about to get married with no real friends. She asks her only friend Angela and a friend of Angela's Maya to be her bridesmaids who go with her to Faro, Portugal for her hen weekend celebration. The weekend turns into a nightmare that follows all three women back to Kent. How far would you go to prove your worthiness as a friend and would you keep a secret if it meant covering up a crime? 4 and a half stars.
You have to love Daniel Hurst! He has such a fun writing style while crafting a crazy tale. This book is no exception. It isn’t a real thriller. It’s just delicious fun! Three women go on a bride’s stag party and crazy things happen. But, what’s even crazier is what happens when they return home! I enjoyed reading this book in a short day, and am on a mission to see what few I haven’t read yet by him! I like to read his books after I’ve read a heavy or disturbing book. He lightens everything back up again!
3 Friends, one vacation weekend with the bride - and murders...
We do not tell about the murder(s?).
But what, if the killings started out as accidents ? What, if the psychopath resides in your midst ? What, what, what ???????
I liked this book a lot - and it seems to have an open ending, since the author leaves it up to your imagination, what could happen in the future and how long will this murdering go on ?

This was a quick read and I highly recommend it as a nice escape. This book poses the looming question of how well do we really know someone? Who can we really trust? People are really only willing to show you the parts of themselves they know you will approve of and like. The darker aspects will remain in the shadows. Hopefully never having to be divulged. But that isn't usually the case.
A great super fast read. Friends or not? Maybe one of them is a psycho - and they are A hen party goes very wrong when we find out the bride to be is a psycho

But not the best. I have read a few of Daniel Hurst's books and will read more. This is a good book with great characters. Three friends go to Portugal from England for a weekend to celebrate their friends' upcoming wedding. While there things happen that could jeopardize the bride to be's friends. They decide to go home early and leave the consquences behind. Needless to say, the consequences follow them home. It is a good story but unlike the books I have read of Mr. Hurst, it's not truely a thriller, not the edge of your seat nail biting experience as some of his other books. It's also a bit predictable. I knew the end before I was a little more than halfway through the book. I liked it but it wasn't as gripping as his other books. I would encourage you to read it for yourself.
Where did my review go? Hoping it doesn't show up twice, I've become a recent fan of Daniel Hurst and have a lot of books to catch up on. In "We Tell No One", he keeps us readers on our toes with new developments popping up throughout and then the stunner at the end.
I'm thankful to Daniel and to Amazon for making this available on Kindle Unlimited, as I already spend too much money on books!
I loved this one! Three friends take off to Portugal for a weekend for a “hen do.” Or as we say in the US a bachelorette party. They have a wild time, drinking and dancing, laying on the beach. There are a group of men on a Stag weekend and they dance and drink with them. All three are a bit shocked at what happens while they are there. You will be too. Daniel Hurst writes another story that you can’t put down.
I had a feeling where this story was headed. Yes, there were surprises. But I almost didn't finish reading it.. I didn't really care what happened to these women, honestly. It wasn't very believable, like a crazy sitcom turned murder mystery turned soap opera.
This is the 14th book by Daniel Hurst I've read and it's my favourite by far. Love the twists and he has an amazing talent for writing from the POV of females too. Page turner that kept me up way past my bedtime. I would definitely recommend this book.
Realistic story with characters you feel for. More twists and turns than the coney island roller-coaster. You will read till the end because you want to read the next chapter, and the next, and the next.
While 3 girlfriends are having a hen party on a getaway trip in Portugal, something terrible happens which tests their friendship. Secrets, lies, betrayals and shocking surprises follow them home. . .I enjoyed this!
The title and tag lines keep drawing me in, but this was NOT a psychological thriller. The most unrealistic part of the storyline is the guilt one of his characters feels for hurting someone who was trying to rape her; that being said, it was a tremendous oversimplification of guilt that might have been felt by a molestation survivor. Further, not a single character had a description enough to make them real or sympathetic to the reader - flat characters again. Boring and disappointing.
Written from the pov of the 3 female characters. It is well written in that it flows OK, no spelling mistakes etc but I found this particular book quite slow and predictable. The ending was quite unsatisfactory tbh, and I'd had it pegged the whole way through.
I knew how the book would end just by reading the description of the book. I thought that maybe there would be more of a twist, but no. The run-on sentences were killer… just like Jane.
It was the foreshadowing that got me in the end. Does it really need to be at the end of EVERY chapter ... I thought about reading the last chapters to see what happened before I stopped reading but then realised I didn't care. So I never got past them coming home ... or did I? 😴
This book started out with so much promise. I enjoyed the three different POVs, and I found myself eager to know what was going to happen. The big twist was surprising, and I made it through until the end. Just an ok read for me.

The author skillfully weaves a tale of suspense and intrigue, keeping readers on the edge of their seats throughout the story. The book explores themes of friendship, betrayal, and the consequences of secrets kept hidden.
