I cannot tell a lie...
I instantly fell in love with Ares.
I'm talking... I fell hard.
The prologue was devastating. Everything that happened, his heartbreak, the unfortunate consequences...
How could I not love this broken man?

The author did an incredible job of picking a cover model because he fit Ares to a tee.
Perfection I say!

Ares had his heart broken in the worst way and had given up on ever having that special someone.
Rory was the first woman to make him question his lonely existence.
But she's hiding something that could tear them apart.
Something that could devastate all of the beauty they were creating together.
And although her secret bothered me, making me want to shake a ho, I got it. I got her. And I still liked her a lot.

So there's that.

There's also an insane subplot of craziness with some serial killers that I'm still trying to figure out.
Why?
I liked the added suspense, but it wasn't even necessary.
And yet, I found it wildly entertaining.

I loved Ares. I loved the way he found love. I loved who he found love with. I'm falling for the other members of the club. And I'm looking forward to loving each and every one of them!

Trigger warning: rape off-page, physical violence, MC violence and gore

I'm so glad that the third novel in this series was as enjoyable and twisty as the first! As soon as we're introduced to Ares at the beginning of the story, readers are thrust back into the ruthless and unflinching world of the Kings of Mayhem Tennessee, and Penny wastes no time in reminding us how cruel their world can be. This novel is definitely not for the faint of heart, but for those of us who enjoy this genre there are plenty of twists, sexy times, and MC action to keep us entertained. I do believe the plot fell a little flat in the middle as the sex scenes became a little repetitive (if still appreciated), but the ending more than made up for it! Overall, this was an addictive addition to this series, and I cannot wait for the next book♡

I absolutely love this author‘s work!! Ares keeps his heart on lockdown because of things that happened to him in his past as a young adult but all bets are off when he meets Rory. They definitely have some major chemistry but they are hiding secrets from each other. They both have demons from their past that need to be faced for a future together. Unexpected twists and turns, lots of action and drama make for a brilliant story! I can’t wait for the next book in this fantastic series!

DAMN! This story was dark, twisted and utterly steamy and I could not put it down! Right from the start Ares had my heart. His past was heartbreaking and tragic and I just wanted to wrap my arms around him – or climb him like a tree! He is definitely a gentle giant but can switch that off and become the killer he needs to be. I think I have found my new book boyfriend. He’s big, bad, growly but a total softy for the right woman. I dare you not to fall in love with all of him!!

Rory storms into Ares’ world unexpectedly and the instant connection they have kept pulling them together at every turn. The sexual chemistry between them just oozed off the pages, was utterly explosive and set my kindle and my panties on fire! I absolutely loved these two together. But nothing is every perfect when you have secrets to hide. And Rory may just have a few big ones she’s not sharing yet.

I absolutely loved this story. It consumed me and kept me on the edge of my seat with my heart beating like crazy. It was action packed, suspenseful, violent, bloody, twisted and super steamy. It also had some shocking twists and turns towards the end that left me spinning. Plus, we got to see what some of the other Kings of Mayhem MC members were up to since the last story, giving us some very funny moments to lighted a heavy story.

This story was so good, and I can’t wait to see what Kings of Mayhem MC member this amazing author is going to write about next.

This series has me enraptured. I’m a bit obsessed with all the Kings and Ares was no exception. He was a powerhouse of a killer full of love and compassion. Do you think that’s an oxymoron? Read the book….. I don’t lie.

I could not have picked a better woman than Rory. Their story is lined with pain and forged with forgiveness. It’s sheer perfection and the twist just added to it all. Kings of Mayhem rule!

Life has never been easy for Ares. Growing up he was judged and mocked for his sheer size, he was always bigger than everyone else his age. Then the new girl next door actually accepted him for who he was. She made him feel like he was "normal" like everyone else. One tragic night, that all changed. He lost the one person who genuinely cared for him and he was left to pay the price. Due to this, he vows he will never love anyone again.

Rory lost her brother and due to the story her mother told her, she believed he was murdered for no reason. Because of this, she goes on a search for revenge and nothing else.

Ares & Rory cross paths a few times, but this is exactly what she wanted all along. Rory has plans for Ares, but what those plans don't include is to fall in love with him.

Will Ares & Rory find what they're both searching for? Or in this case, what they're not searching for?

Ares has had a rough life. He has built up walls and hid himself after what he went through. He has his club and that is all that he needs. Until he meets Rory. She comes barreling into his life when he least expects it and he can't seem to get her off his mind or walk away from her. Rory game to Flintock, Tennessee to find Ares but she had no idea what she was getting herself into when she met the man behind he legend.

This one gave me a bit of deja vu to another story by this author. Don't get me wrong, I loved Ares and Rory; their story captivated and consumed me but I felt like certain aspects of this story were a repeat from another story by this author. Still loved and adored Ares and Rory. Ares's back story truly broke me. I wanted to give him the biggest hug ever. Rory's back story wasn't any lighter. These two both didn't have it easy but they found their peace in each other and it was kind of beautiful. I adore this world and really hope that we will get more from The Kings.

WOW........
Ares just became my fave Mayhem MC'er,
I loved this story, Ares is just the most wonderful character and beautiful man.

Penny described him so well that he just appeared in my head in all his glory.
A man who was heckled and laughed at and whispered about all his life, and to find love next door in the most beautiful young girl who accepts and loves him for who he is. This SOA for the K.O.M just stole my heart and made my VJJ flutter as well as my heart. All 7 feet and more.
Then he has it all snatched away and is blamed for her death and incarcerated.

Years later and released Ares is a changed man. Cold unfeeling to all except those in the Mayhem Family, and Rory a young woman he meets with a strange request for him.

i couldn't put this book down, I loved the background story of the murders taking place throughout. There was more going on than just what was happening between our couple.
We had our previous characters still to love and others to get to know.

Ares wasn't that complicated to know but he just drew you in with his honesty and his it is what it is outlook on life. There were good people and then there were bad, and the world didn't need those bad ones in it, not if he had anything to do with it.

I loved the twist when it came to the reasons why Rory had seeked out our MC hero.
Penny has Rory being a survivor of Sexual abuse by a family member, and I thought she wrote it in a way, that informed us of what had happened without being too graphic.
It is one of those things we all know goes on, and for those without personal experience or have it happen to someone they love, its one of those subjects er don't discuss. "Unfortunately"

I love this series I love the Kings of Mayhem and I just adore the covers and theme they follow with every new one that comes next.

This is the first book of this authors I've read in a while, and damn, did she come out swinging. This was so emotional from the start, and my heart just shattered for everything Ares had gone through -- his entire life he was seen as a monster just because of how big he was, and then for a crime he didn't commit; a crime that broke all he was. But then years later he meets Rory and he slowly comes back to life, and oh how beautiful it was! It's not very often that I love the H more in romances (not that I didn't love Rory, she was great) but I just connected with Ares on another level. I loved the relationship these two had, and I loved how their jagged edges just fit perfectly!

I would caution for triggers to those who have experienced trauma, especially those in the sexual nature. It's not overly descriptive but because of the impact on both characters, it's definitely a lot. If you're in a good headspace I would definitely recommend this!

I really loved these two characters together.
They just fit.

Ares is big and has a violent past, and present. Though his past was filled with taking out marks and getting his revenge, and his present is filled with protecting his club.

And Rory is a stripper with a shit family and a dark past that’s trying to overtake her future.

I loved the plot.
I really enjoyed the sex and the dirty talk.
The violence and action kept everything interesting plus there was some side things happening that sort of converged on the main plot and made everything that much more dangerous and entertaining.

I liked it.
I want more characters to get their HEA in this MC.
I’ve really enjoyed this author’s writing.

Fantastic MC Read

What a fantastic dark and twisted book that made it a true page turner! The story was heartbreaking at times with big twists and turns throughout. It’s one of those times when I had to re-read what I had just seen because it was such a surprise.

The chemistry between Ares and Rory was off the charts and had me rooting for them throughout the book. This is a book that I’d highly recommend.

This is the third book in the Mayhem MC Tennessee but it can be read as a complete standalone. I am going to go ahead and warn you that Ares is going to steal your heart and he will not be giving it back. HE is a man who has been heckled and laughed out. Talked about behind his back all of his life. However the man is lucky enough to find love with the girl next door who is the most beautiful girl and she accepts and loves him for who he is. However good things never seem to last long and he finds himself blamed for something he would have never in a million years done and put in prison. Now he is back and he came out as a changed man. He is cold and feels nothing for anyone except for the people in his Mayhem family. He also seems to feel a little too, for Rory who is a young woman he meets because she has a very strange request for him. Here is where I have to shut up about the story because there are things that happen that I just can't tell you and a twist I don't think you will ever see coming. I fell so hard for Ares. He is a man who has not been through a lot and above all though he is honest and that was overlooked in him a lot in life. More times than he can count. But, life is hard and Penny soon finds out with the help of Penny how to be a survivor. She has been through so much and she is just perfect for Ares. This is a great book. I loved every single second of it.

Ares has come a long way in his life and is now the Sergeant at Arms for The Kings of Mayhem MC TENNESEE Chapter, but a storm is brewing for Ares when he crosses path's with smoking hot Rory and she asks for his help, but although he turns her down, Ares can't stay away, there is an instant pull and attraction from the moment their eyes meet across the boxing ring,

Rory knows she shouldn't fall for Ares's charm but, there is something about this 7ft biker that makes her feel things that she never thought she would feel because she knows that this can only end one way in heartache, two pasts on a collision course, two people bathed in loss and tragedy, can they brave the storm and come out the other side together.

Penny Dee did an excellent job of bringing to life this couple, from their pasts that have brought them where they are today, to that sizzlingly hot, burn-the-page chemistry that is why I really cannot recommend this book and this series highly enough.

Ares has a sad, misunderstood past. Ever since the day of his birth, he’s been treated like an outcast, a monster, but he’s a good man that has taken a dark path. Now he’s a member of the Kings of Mayhem, Tennessee chapter and the Sergeant At Arms. He just wants to live his life on his own path, but when the dancer catches his eye everything, he thought he wanted goes out the window.

Rory made a deal with the devil and now she has to follow through with it, or does she? Rory has lost everyone she has ever loved and when she is manipulated by someone that should love her, and told lies, her life is complicated. She finds herself being torn in two directions and isn’t sure which to follow, but when danger finds Ares, her path is cleared up. She’ll make Ares her top priority.

These two will go to any length to protect each other, even though they’ve both had tragic pasts, their future could be bright. They just have to give in to what their hearts want. Ares and Rory are complicated. The past has a way of coming back around at times and making one’s life a mess. Lies, secrets, betrayal, and cruelty are all part of this book, but there is also a great cast of characters that really make these stories so good. I’ve loved the Kings of Mayhem since the very first book with Cade and Indy and none of these books has been a disappointment. Ares is a great character, and his story is raw, emotional, and tragic, but it ends with an HEA. I give this book a 5-star review and I am patiently waiting for the next book in the series.

I dare you not to fall in love with this Gentle Giant. Just WOW! Ms. Dee has given readers an outstanding, well written book, with Two characters you can’t help but root for. Ares was dubbed a monster from the day he was born: from his father as his birth caused the death of his mother and later by the town because he was seven feet tall and big all over. People were afraid of him when all he wanted was to be loved and accepted. At 18 he’s accused of a murder he didn’t committ but it was easy for them to blame the freak. 10 years later the truth is learned and he’s released. With nothing left for him in his eyes, he soon becomes a killer for a Boston Crime family and eventually the SAA for the Kings of Mayhem MC. It’s there he meets Roxy. A beautiful woman that calms the inner beast within him. He knows he should stay away from her, but he can’t seem to resist the pull. But Roxy isn’t all she appears to be. He senses something is off but what?

This is an amazing read that I found myself totally invested in. I literally couldn’t put it down. I can’t recommend it enough. Ms. Dee has always been an exceptional author but Ares' story is one of her best. At least in this reader's humble opinion. Grab it up, asap, you won’t regret it.

Ares is book three in the fantastic Kings of Mayhem MC Tennessee series and right from the very start I was hooked on the story and felt so much for Ares. That’s a mean feat when you consider I wasn’t quite 3% into the story but such is the quality of writing by this author!

Ares is one extremely tall, muscular man who has a heart of gold—in case you can’t tell, I absolutely adored his character. Life has had its ups and downs for him yet he’s found a family with the Kings and is now a trusted officer, the SAA, or sergeant-at-arms. Rory is more of a mystery girl, we’re given snippets of information and know that trouble will be on its way, but while getting to know her, I really liked how much she stood up for herself and her sassy mouth. These two lead characters have such an electric romance.

There’s so much exciting action and drama that I honesty couldn’t put this book down. I will admit to having a minor panic attack a couple of times with the intensity of some of the scenes; the sign of brilliant writing I believe. Plus, yep, all the emotions from happiness to anticipation, fear to anger, disappointment to joy—you experience the lot. Some great twists and turns throwing a spanner in the works to make things even more exciting and entertaining.

I wholeheartedly recommend this book to everyone who enjoys quality writing.

Lord have mercy the God of War is a God indeed!! And I want to eat him up. I just knew I was going to love this big ole teddy bear. And I know that sounds like a weird way to describe someone who has killed but when it comes to women he is. But lord Ares life has been so messed up. And when he first meet Rory I just knew in my gut something was gonna be up with her. And that my teddy bear of war was going to be devastated by it and I was right!! And I so wanted to crawl in my kindle and beat her butt. Although she made up for it. This series man every single book as been a roller coaster ride if emotions. And just packed full of some crazy ass sh!t all around this club. They find love and happiness and then bomb they get hit with excitement and chaos from the depths of he!! and the sweetness of heaven. And I guarantee there is something for everyone in this series if you're a fan of MC books. I highly recommend this book!!

This book was so good! I don't want to give anything away because there was so much going on. Ares is the SAA for the Kings of Mayhem Tennessee chapter. He is quiet and the women all want to be with him. He is untouchable. He spent 9 years in prison for something he did not do. He came out with revenge on his mind. He worked for a crime family in Boston. He also fights in the ring and is very good at it.
Roxy is a dancer in one of the Mayhem clubs. She watches Ares matches and finally works up enough nerve to talk to him. She is from Boston and she is here for revenge.
I can't say anymore for if I do I will tell spoilers and I can't do that. If you thought the other Mayhem books were good just wait...who doesn't love a strong, sexy handsome man and a beautiful woman!!! Please read this...it is so good and I finished it in a couple of hours.

Even when she does not get what she wants from him, they still cannot deny their desires.

Who does she need Ares to finish?

I am now really liking this series. This is the first book of this MC by this author that I have been introduced to and I am loving it. Steamy and action packed!

Stop what you are doing and read this book RIGHT NOW! If you are reading reviews, they you are probably already into MC romances and this one checks all of my boxes for this trope. I love them dark and gritty with a loyal but a bit rough main man and an awesome leading lady! Add is some crazy hot chemistry and a just plain crazy situations, this is a book you need to read right away.

I freaking love Ares, right from the beginning he stole my heart. He might be a "giant" and a little rough around the edges, but I dare you not to fall for him. The chemistry between him and Rory is not just smoking hot, but you can feel the emotional connection too. I HIGHLY recommend you read this book ASAP if you like MC romances, or even like them a bit more gritty than normal. I def give this book 5 outta 5 stars!

Ares grew up being treated like a freak, he found one person who saw past all the rumors and saw him for him. However, that one person sent Ares on a different path in life and eventually a member of Kings of Mayhem MC. After a fight Ares is approached by woman who wants his help, he is not interested and focusing on his upcoming fight. The only problem is he runs into her again and can't keep her out of his mind. One night fling leads to something more but Rory is hiding a big secret that will threaten everything she has done with Ares. What will happen when Ares finds out?

Chemistry is through the roof on this one. I was pulled in right away and completely captivated by Ares. Pacing is wonderful in this book, definitely one to pick up. Need to go back and read the rest in the series.

Wow! This series gets better with each book! Ares is the most amazing and definitely the most unlikely hero. His life growing up was so tragic…made you want to take out folks for him. Everything changes when he meets the Kings of Mayhem. He gets family that he craves and deserves. Rory’s life isn’t much better that Ares…she definitely drew the short straw when it came to most of her family. That mother of hers is certifiable. I think this is why Ares and Rory are so great together. They don’t really have expectations or experience with relationships but before you know it they’re all in. There’s a really great mystery going on in this story and secrets just begging to be told. Exciting, humorous and totally sexy, Ares is a wonderful addition to a fabulous series!

Well hello my new favourite book boyfriend. Ares, the Kings of Mayhem Tennessee, Sergeant-at-Arms. There to do the MC’s bidding, but I’m sorry to say ladies, he’s not interested in any other kind of relationship, not even a one night stand, he’s 100% MC. Until Rory enters his life, she’s a force to be reckoned with and everything that Ares didn’t know he needed. Just one problem, she’s not who he thinks she is, and that snippet of a secret could be their undoing. With lots of emotional moments, happy times, sexy times, and of course a whole host of MC action with the Kings on the clock to find 3 psychopathic killers before they strike again. Ares is the perfect anti-hero and the perfect match for Rory. They both have their demons and need to face their pasts. Unexpected twists and turns add to this story and make for a highly entertaining read. I loved it I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest review.

I fell hard for Ares from the jump as his life was just so cruel to him but he kept going & I LOVED LOVED LOVED him from the jump. He was bigger than even adults as a teenager, and as such, he was made fun of and/or people feared him before things took a sinister turn. Fast forward some years, and he's now part of the Kings of Mayhem MC Tennessee, and finally he fits in somewhere. Rory seeks him out for some help, but he shuts her down quickly despite the fact that she's the first woman to interest him in a very long time so you already know, things are about to get complicated for our man here. Their journey is definitely not for the faint of heart as it can be brutal but it's catnip for me, and Penny Dee provides us with brilliant MC romance that's for sure. The twists are coming in hot as secrets & revenge plots are ever present so I was on the edge of my seat the whole way through. The seyx times are HOT, the support cast amazing, and the action on point. I LOVE Penny Dee's very addictive writing style, and will never get enough of them so I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Oh how I devoured this story!

From the gut-wrenching beginning to the I'm not ready for this story to end, Ares by Penny Dee had me sitting on the edge of my seat utterly captivated by this story.
Soooo many thoughts.... When will the twist hit? And... When it does how will it end? HEA or more devastation?
I absolutely loved ARES. God this big and broody man stole my heart. His tragic backstory slayed my heart but his character was sexy, swoony, strong and sweet (well to Rory).

Rory I adored. From the moment she stormed into Ares life the chemistry between these two sizzled and the connection just continued to get stronger. But what will be left of their connection when her secrets are revealed?

What a ride this story was. It was action packed, heart aching, suspenseful, violent, swoon-worthy, twisted and Kindle melting steamy.

I love the Kings of Mayhem members and can't wait to see what comes for them next.

Well, what do you know!

Let me start with that I haven't been all that convinced with this spin-off mainly because the original series is a strong one and one of my all-time favorite MC romances.
But was I in for a surprise with this one, holy smokes!
It's not your usual MC romance, you know the rough and tough one, the one that leaves you all hot and bother.

This one has all that but more, if I could describe this book with one on it would be tenderness, and I do mean it in the off-charts it will melt your heart kind of way because it has all the feels and the touch of suspense that will keep you reading all throughout the night.

Ares keeps his heart locked up tight, due to some horrible circumstances that happened to him as a young adult, but once he sees Rory, all bets are off.

When Rory attracts Ares attention she does not realize what she has gotten herself into and how her plans have gone seriously off track.

Ares and Rory definitely bring the steam and passion when they are together, but the two of them are holding on to secrets from their pasts that can be their downfall.

This was another great addition to the series and once again we get to see so many of the MC characters and behind the scenes club issues take place.

Ares is book 3 in the Kings of Mayhem MC Tennessee series, This one has it all!

Gosh we finally got some time with this giant who showed us his gentle side. He has been through hell and back to finally have the answers but now has to decide what how to handle it because 1 moment in all of this could end the forever he never knew he wanted.

I personally enjoyed this story, it was twisty and I couldn't put it down; devouring it in 1 sitting.

Another one bites the dust! The Tennessee chapter of the Kings of Mayhem MC just keeps getting better and better. One after another of these hard, dark men keeps turning into a marshmallow inside when they fall in love and can't see themselves without their woman by their side. I love seeing the tough outside with a warm center.

Ares has been misunderstood and mistreated from the day he was born, but meeting Rory and falling in love with her changes his life from the first day. I loved seeing him finally get to be happy.

Rory has secrets and lies within her that come out to play quickly and leave her picking up the pieces of what she knows in life. I liked her, then disliked her, then had to like her again.

I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone who enjoys a raw MC romance with lots of heart and sexy goodness.
