[Alpha Possessive Heroes]

Okay.. so Angel.. one of the twins right? He was the one who got pick to be an insurance to keep Carusos and Lucianos in a truce. As far as I remember, he's the lazy one and the most twisted in the twins.

I'm trying not to get too excited because the release date is next year. But I can't wait to see what this rugged tattoo Angel can do! (I hope he's wacko and OTT alpha! hehe!)

Angel and Mathias are twins and they have the same exact tattoos and as far as I can remember, its hard to tell them apart.. I'm just hoping there's no sharing or ménage in this story.

I'm not rating this because I didn't finish the book. Pretty much lost interest half way.. I'm thinking maybe I'm still book hang over from reading Rider's Revenge but gosh this book was terrible! I did not see/feel any chemistry between Adalyn and Angel. Adalyn character was annoying as fuck and don't get me started with Angel! I mean, what happened? Where's the OTT possessive mean hero? After reading Lucca, I did expect the next one will be almost the same as him.

The story line didn't even interest me too. So I gave up.. I mean, if the main characters and plot aren't working.. why push it yeah?

I'm just disappointed because I've been waiting for this book.

I didn't like Angel.
I hated Adalyn.
There was zero chemistry between them.
I didn't even care if they both get together or not.

I'll be honest. I read this only for Lucca. If not him than this book would have already been a DNF for me. Adalyn going after Angel who was not interested in her. No ways. In fact I enjoyed the other secondary characters. They were so much better than the MCs.

As you know Caruso and Luciano are enemies. Adalyn is a Caruso and Angel is a Luciano. Lucca, the Caruso underboss appoints Angel as bodyguard to the Caruso girls. He appoints a Luciano to keep peace between the two Gangs. Adalyn already lusted after Lucca, but now that he is in love with Chloe she decides to move on. But she wants a bad boy. So when she sees Angel, she tries to get his attention. But Angel already love someone else named Bella. And that Bella loves Mathias, who is Angels twin brother (identical). Ughhh. This was such a messy shit.

Sarah needs to deliever a way better OTT Alpha man and a way too cute love story than Chloe's for me to move on.

Just like after Nero i could'nt enjoy Vincent until Lucca came in the picture.

A diferencia de la opinión popular, a mi si me gustó mucho este libro.

Si es verdad bajo la madurez y seriedad que venían en subida en esta serie, pero creo que la autora lo hizo de forma premeditada, era imposible repetir la intensidad que vimos en Lucca, así que, en vez de intentarlo y quedar en el intento, tomo un camino completamente diferente, y se regresó más al Young Adult.

Si amiguitos, este es un libro más juvenil, entretenido y MUY DIVERTIDO.

Este libro logro un plus, que hace mucho una historia no lograba para mí. Hizo que me pusiera en la piel de la protagonista. ¿Les ha pasado? ¿Que se ven a sí mismas como cierto personaje?
En esta historia me paso, ahora sí que ¡SAME!



Adalyn se llevó la historia, con su personalidad aniñada, inmadura e ingenua. Si cometió muchos errores, decía muchas babosadas, pero si yo fuera una princesa de la mafia, seria como ella. Se los juro, soy yo. Desarrollando crush con quien no debería, comiendo Nuggets y haciendo enojar a mi hermano.

Ángel, no defrauda, me hubiera encantado ver mas de su lado malo y no tanto de su lado roto. Pero bueno igual no pude evitar derretirme por él.

El romance no lo sentí mucho en este libro, al principio muy lento, luego muy rápido, había una conexión era obvio que terminarían juntos, pero algo falto. Solo por eso no le doy las 5 estrellas.
Pero con ver a esta bola de Mafia adolescentes, su di a día, sus vivencias, toda la travesía solo para ir al cine, cada detalle me encanto.

Ahora hablando de María, la verdad no se que pensar de ella. Ya se que muchas creen que su historia será con el maestro de matemáticas, pero a mí me gustaría que su historia se entrelazara con el Boss de los Lucianos. Ella quiere ser Boss y tiene lo que se necesita para lograrlo, si se cazara con Dominic ella podría lograrlo, no lo sé, es solo una de mis locas ideas.

QUIERO SABER MAS DE LOS LUCIANOS.

What the hell did I just read? It was such a terrible book by this author. I feel like I have wasted my time and money on this disaster of a book. Everything about this sucked big time. It has officially ruined the whole series for me. I had really high expectations from this book. What was the author thinking when she wrote Adalyn's character? She was beyond irritating and annoying. Angel was such a jerk. I hated both the main characters. There was no character development for them. They somehow just fall in love. In fact, they didn't even talk about their past, basically no REAL conversation. This book also managed to spoil secondary characters for me. I mean what was up with Lake and Elle always checking out Angel. Mind you Lake literally fainted after watching Angel and his twin together, that too in front of Vincent. Some girlfriend she is. Throughout the book, we were reminded how HOT Angel is. The ending was too rushed.
Overall, an awful read altogether.

Sadly , this series have gone downfall for me, apart from book 1 Nero

I can only say, that I have no patience with silly, immature, childishly spoiled girls wanna be young women who not only act stupid but blurt out such under-toned, trivial shit...and I just can't really justify it with anything for any reason...

That's one thing, the second thing is - the plot. Gah...damn, I know it's hard to find an original, unspoiled, untainted plot, cause there's NONE, everything has already been written, re-written, re-re-written, so far...sot the only "originality" is within the writing style, dialogue, descriptions and initiative in being bold, but not for the "boldness" itself but for the height in the storyline that you already might have read but because of the "fresh" approach, it sounds new!

If you know what I mean...

So, nope...I guess i just lost patience, maybe there will be "new" readers who will find this storyline more interesting than I did, and they can even overlook the female character...and who knows, maybe this will be a winner.

I will have to pass and actually try to salvage the good memory that book one in this series embossed in me.

I have read and loved every single book in the Made Men series and witnessed each one coming out better than the one before it, with Lucca being the ultimate best in my eyes. Lucca did set a pretty high standard and I completely understood that the likelihoods of the next book being better were slim. I think there is only one future book that could ever compare - Maria's book.
But while I did not anticipate Angel to be better, I fully expected it to be at least as good as all the other installments in the series. It wasn't.
Angel started out good. The writing was still the way I remembered it to be and the right mood was set from the very beginning. I happened to like Adalyn and was exited to see her with the representative from the Luciano family - Angel. Both of the characters felt as though they could bring something interesting to the story. But I soon realized that it wasn't working for me and I did not really understand why. I was halfway through and still the story wasn't really coming together in my mind. I then realized that it was because the book felt undeveloped. The scenes did not seem fully finished, the chapters would end with no real conclusion. The characters were not exactly unraveled, there were still a lot of things left to discover with each of them. The relationship did not feel fully formed and the connection between the characters did not seem real and genuine to me.
In conclusion , I'm sorry to say that it's my least favorite book in this series and I just hope that any further books will be back on track being awesome. Because I know for a fact (or four) that they can be better.

Esta serie de mafia se ha convertido en una de mis favoritas, la descubrí el año pasado y con el libro de Lucca me conquistó, es por eso que siempre voy a estar esperando cualquier libro de esta serie.

Obviamente al leer el libro de Lucca ya sabía que los demás no iban a estar a la altura de semejante libro, ese está a otro nivel siempre de exagerada y pues estuve en lo cierto pero el de Angel es mejor que los otros restantes.

Disfruté muchísimo la lectura, me reí con las ocurrencias de Adalyn ese chica es una loquilla se le venía cada pensamiento o decía cada cosa, el enamoramiento que tenía por Lucca era bastante cómico y a la vez pienso ¿Quién no se enamora de semejante hombre?



Ángel también me pareció un personaje muy bueno, es un hombre que es peligroso, oscuro que tuvo una niñez bastante fea e injusta llena de maltratos y abusos de parte del desgraciado de su padre, esos flashback de la niñez de Angel fueron bastante tristes. Es un hombre fuerte y leal a sus hermanos, a su sangre.



La relación de Adalyn y Angel no me convenció del todo porque no vi en qué momento se enamoraron si hubo tensión sexual a lo largo del libro pero no lo sentí como para que fuera amor y para mí es la parte más floja, lo que sí me gustó es que Adalyn fuera la que estuviera detrás de Angel y que cuando él se da cuenta que la ama no se la puso fácil para volver a confiar en él.



Ya me di cuenta que en esta serie el personaje principal es Lucca, QUE HOMBRE POR DIOS!, me encanta su oscuridad el monstruo que lleva dentro su inteligencia y astucia, la manera de manejar las cosas que siempre está a dos pasos por delante de los demás ”Lucca always win”

Como me reí cuando las chicas Elle y Lake babeaban por Angel cada vez que lo veían y la escena cuando van al cine es de las mejores, una gran lección para Nero y Vincent que por cierto este como sufre con su cara bonita y sus baby blues que hasta Lucca lo tiene vetado de su casa por coquetearle a Chloe.



Ahora espero que el siguiente libro sea de María que antes la quería con el profesor pero pensándola bien y por lo que vi en este libro me gustaría que fuera con Mattias el otro gemelo What would be better?



PD: ¿Qué pasará con Amo? ¿Qué hará Lucca con él? AAAH que intriga… a esta serie todavía le queda mucho.

We’ve got a horny little girl who is hot for Lucca on the first page and then swaps to be horny for Angel when she looks at him.

We’ve got a very/truly/for real damaged H who is horny for little horny girl and calls her sweetness.

The end.


It wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be, but compared to the rest of the series it fails to deliver the angst, the damage, the dark that the previous books have provided.

Very disappointed in Angel, book 5 in the Made Men series, because this hero is in love with someone else throughout most of the book. WtF. The 'I love you' toward the end was such a let down knowing the hero was pining for some other female most of the book. That made the hero and heroine finally consummating their relationship, well, underwhelming.
The Mafia drama really saved this book from being a 1 star. That was really interesting. And what a shame no marriage and babies for any of the other hero and heroines who are couples in this book. Nero and Elle really deserve that.

Finally, I hope Amo gets a hea and isn't killed off.

I liked Angel. A hot made man with a troubled but interesting backstory. I like too that he was faithful to Adalyn and she to him. Thankfully unlike Vincent Angel was not a manwhore and his story was not filled with OW drama and OW sex scenes.

While I do not dislike her I am not a fan of Adalyn’s. She appeared too ditzy and wishy washy. One minute she is in love with Lucca and then she is in love with Angel. Also I want the heroes to do all of the the pursuing like Lucca and Nero did with Chloe and Elle. Here it was Adalyn who did some chasing and started crushing on him hard at the first meeting.

I want the heroes to be super possessive and jealous like Lucca and Nero were and still are with Chloe and Elle. Here while Angel got irritated that his twin brother briefly made out with Adalyn (who thought that it was him) he could handle it and there was no really angry reaction or violence involved. By contrast Nero almost lost it when Elle just kissed a guy on the check and I could write a book about the intensity of Lucca’s reactions when Amo showed interest in Chloe. I cannot help but love Lucca and Nero for that. Even in this book the devil let his green eyed monster show. Vincent got banned from being in Chloe’s sight because Lucca thought that he was flirting with her.

I was not happy about the fact that Angel thought that he was in love with OW until almost the end of the story even though he had already gotten physical with the heroine. Thankfully the OW only appeared at the end of the book and did not return his feelings. They never had a physical relationship but rather it was like Adalyn’s feelings for Lucca. They were never returned.

While I was glad that the story contained a sex scene (that occurred at the end of the book) I was not feeling the claimed love that was admittedly during that time. Also I did not feel any chemistry between them. Maybe if there was more of Angel’s point of view in the present ( as opposed to his flashbacks) then I might have felt differently. As it was I wasn’t sure that he even wanted her for awhile.

I enjoyed reading about Lucca and the glimpses we got of Nero and Elle. I would love a follow up story with both couples as long as they remain faithful to each other, which I am sure that they would.

Lake’s over the top fan club responses to Angel’s good looks that included fainting and always talking about how hot he was would have irritated me except it really bothered Vincent and given Vincent's past slutty behavior, even after he admitted to himself that he had feelings for Lake, I thought that he deserved it. Vincent had pay backing coming and the fact that it was given to him by mainly a submissive Lake pleased me.

I would love to read about Lucca and Nero’s sister's story as long as her love interest is just as strong as her. She is a tough mafia chick and needs someone who can match her strength and at times keep her in her place. A whimpy professor, who she seemed to show interest in this book, will not be that person. Also I want her love in interest to be hot for her and to do the chasing. She deserves a man who is head over heels for her and yet still be the alpha in the relationship like Lucca and Nero.

Wow. I've never read a book where two main characters got put together by default. How romantic.

I decided to read this knowing I wasn't going to like it and the only reason why I read this was to get more glimpses of Lucca and Chloe and to see Amo a broken man. I got what I came for and thats why this book gets 2 stars.

I'm almost offended the author wrote this and decided it was good enough to publish. After you write a love story like Lucca and Chloe, the intense, soul crushing love story, you choose to follow up with this mess????? This mess where both characters thought they were in love with other people until 85%?????? No ma'am. Lucca and Chloe was without a doubt one of the best books I've ever read, and the fact that this book is even in the same universe as the previous one makes me furious. Lucca and Chloe was liquid fire; Angel and Adalyn can be compared to expired milk.

The last thing ill say is Maria better get an amazing fucking hero. The hero better be balls-to-the-wall amazing and for gods sake, if Maria is a virgin I'm gonna write some angry emails to Sarah Brianne (kidding, but not really.)

I'm just gonna go back and read Lucca for the forth time

Angel is forced to work for the enemy in this installment of made men. He has been assigned to be the bodyguard for Adalyn who is Vincent's step sister. The romance in this to me is very minor as I didn't sense a connection between them. This had all the makings of a good story, unfortunately the romance was thrown aside for some reason. Adalyn was a bit childish and Angel was confusing, you never get into his head to understand how he feels while they interact until the end and by that time I didn't buy that he actually had any emotion for her whatsoever. This book to me was disappointing especially after Lucca which was an outstanding read.

If I had to use one word for this book it would be....'disappointing'.
I have to admit Sarah writing is inconsistent. Nero and Lucca were great books, Vincent good enough and Chloe - well I didn't finish Chloe.
What can I say about Angel? It felt very unfinished and didn't live to the potential.
Angel and Adylyn were boring with no chemistry
The plot...what plot? the story was very dejointed. A few plot points were attempted but no answer were given.
Also the ending - it just fell flat.
I am not sure if i am in the minority here but this book had no redeeming quality and I believe it could have used more work.

Omg! blown away.

I wasn't even sure I was going to like this book because I was really hoping Maria would get a book after Lucca, but I loved being this wrong, after trying the sample it was a no brainier an I couldn't put it down. I think it's my favourite book so far, and that's really saying something because I really loved Book 4 lucca.

im sorry but, i am really disappointed in this book. i didnt really see the crazy side of Angel, i really dont like Adalyn. i only read this because of Lucca. I think the story was hurriedly written, its like Sarah tried to put everything but it lacks the excitement like the other books in the series. and now i am looking forward to Maria's story as well as Amo's.

"Angel" is the story of Adalyn and Angel.

OOokay. This followed Lucca?! This?!

Adalyn is Vincent's stepsister and Lake's best friend. She has always been in love with Lucca, until he got married. She meets their new recruit, the tatted pretty boy Angel, who turns out to be not only a thief, but also the heir of Luciano dynasty. The book delves into the attraction between the two, loads of drama and tidbits from familiar faces.

Coming to the main characters- very bland. This was very teenage angsty. Heroine was quite immature, hero had his scars but we didn't get to explore them in detail, their chemistry was meh, and I didn't see them falling in love- like it came out of nowhere. His backstory was also under-developed, like so much was unsaid it became confusing. And Matthias's significance into the story?

I am left underwhelmed with more questions than answers. Missing you Amo- may you find happiness.

I like the "Made Men" series very much and even though that i was expecting another story, i liked this one too....
From the first book, i was waiting like crazy Lucca and Chloe's story and finally i took it in the previous book, and then the other story that i was eager for was Maria's, but nope, this book wasn't about her....
It was about Angel and Adalyn...

Well, we 've met Adalyn in the second book in the series since she was Vincent's stepsister and Lake's best friend and the girl was ... crazy!!!!
And that was what i liked more about her...
Her relationship with Lake was hilarious... I really laughed with their banters and with the ogling toward Angel and their wonder about his skating abilities!!!! Bahahaha...
She was in love with Lucca all her life, but when Angel got in the scenery, she felt a pull toward him...
After all, she was always drown toward bad boys!!!!

“I need you to keep me away from him. He’s bad news, and I know it. But … you know how I get when they’re hot, bad, and... hot.”

Angel wasn't a Caruso, he was a Luciano.... And he wasn't good!!!
We saw him in the previous book when Lucifer had got his hands on Chloe and when Lucca got her back and killed Lucifer, he took with him as collateral one of Lucifer's twin sons, Angel in this case!!!
Angel was a tatted, bad mafia boy and the prospect to stay in the enemy territorry for the rest of his life wasn't a good option for him... but for now, he couldn't do anything about it...
He had no good life with Lucifer as his father and he would do anything for his brothers....
There was a woman in his heart, so he couldn't understand why this mouthy woman was getting under his skin...

Angel and Adalyn came closer because of the job that Lucca had given to Angel, but he didn't want to come closer to her and he fought for doing so... It was impossible....
But there was a problem if he would choose her over his family.... He could stay forever in the Caruso's territory and that meant that he would be always a prisoner....
So, what will happen with those two????

"I'm trapped here without knowing if he will ever let me leave. If I allow myself to have you, I'm afraid I will stay forever."

Well, i liked and this book... It had an easy pace and it had very funny and swoon worthy moments, but still i think that was something missing.... and that's why i cut a star from my rating...
Maybe the things were rushing??? Maybe the story was too short??? Maybe it was that i didn't take an epilogue????
But maybe we will take something in the next story since all the books are connecting between them...
Please Sarah, let the next story be for Maria....
And damn, I'm so curious to learn more about Amo because the Amo we knew from the previous books had nothing to do with Amo in this one... What happened to him, except the obvious????

This story would have so much potential but it feels like it just had to be finished so I felt kind of hurried to the whole story. I'm sad because until now you really felt the connection between the couples in the other books of the series but with Angel and Adalyn - not so much.

And I really was annoyed with Lake - really she fainted because they are so hot? Come on, if one of the guys would have done that to the girls it would be insta hate but she is a girl so she can behave like Vincent is not around... No just no.

This book had so much potential but it was too rushed. I don’t know if I’ll purchase another book in this series again.

I love this author. I love how all her male characters are alpha. This book was good but i didn’t love it. I don’t know it just didn’t seem very long at all and not as in depth as her other books but can’t wait till next book. Lucca is still my made man 😍. Angel was really hot tho

Apart from installments for next stories this book has nothing! I'm sorry to say it, but the Romance is MIA, non existent!
There are pieces of chapters useless, everthing is unlinked..I've read till the end just to understand what all this was supposed to mean. Not a good book at all :(

ANGEL & ADALYN
The Character of Adalyn is spiteful at high level.
Angel is badass but he is not.(I mean, if you say he is badass, explain it to me, not just because he has tattoes)
There is no romance between them and you can't even find the strenght to cheer for them.


THE OTHER CHARACTERS
The author has to choice. Every story can't be based on Lucca. I mean yes, he is my favourite too, but then write the continue of Lucca and Chloe's story not about another couple and then insert extras that are useless to Angel's story. Sometimes could be cute, but there has to be in a book a background story, if not, it's just an exembles of pieces not linked together.
This book was just a Parade of extras. Lucca, Nero, Amo, Maria, Lucifer, Angel's brothers, Vincent, Lake etcetera....if you want to write about them, write another book, or some novella about them.
I dont' really understand the point in writing about them in this book. There were part not functional at all for the purpose of the book. Just useless chitchat.

I'm sorry but Nero and Lucca were really good stories. I can't understand how we can jump from a high level to something of obvious low quality. Great disappointment.

Giving 3 stars because the story could be good and Because Angel is adorable.
I do have issues with this book. I liked Nero, I kinda liked Vincent, I started having issues in Lucca (my favorite character) and I was hoping with author would find back the ideas for this series.

Let's see:

- Storyline ok but with no big events. A bit boring. I mean, you have Lucca's family, now you have Lucianos and still.. nothing? Empty story. It was all about a childish girl forcing a romance with a guy. And the author didn't even explored well Angel when was a kid and his traumas. Him sleeping inside the wardrobe at the end, just felt so out of place. Making him look tough and then that just made it feel like the author was trying to force the broken guy thing. Sorry, but to me it felt random.

- The writting... I mean, I know it is supposed to be young characters and funny but the author has been doing it in a childish way. I mean "blabla so we hate him" and "blabla do we like him now?" and other situations when I thought it was 12 year old talking and not 18 year old people.

- Lake's character? Why is she becoming so dumb? Why is she acting like a 12 year old girl with crush in someone because he is pretty and then there is the scene when she passes out because Angel has a twin brother also hot? I mean, what?

- Why make Vincent look more dumb than usual? "I'm a made man but let me talk how I'm handsome and handsome and handsome and handome. Oh, and I don't want Angel for Adalyn not because his family hurt my best friend family but because he is more handsome than me". Why not make funny scenes without making him look dumb? All I remember is how people keep saying how he isn't smart. Honestly, is it really needed? Because it isn't funny at all either.

- Why make Amo the bad guy but not even doing it in a right way?

- The author seems to be from extremes. Everything is ok, next few pages the character is different. I know people change but finding a good pace for the change is better.

- Adalyn was totally a kid. She was supposed to be a brat and I was waiting but all I got was a girl that wanted a bad boy so she falls "in love" for a bad boy. And the feelings appears out of nowhere, she is fine now just a crush and next she is so in love.

- Angel is a sweet and I like him BUT where is he a made man? A bad boy? Because the author failed passing the feeling through Lucca and now Angel.

- Angel doesn't seem to love Adalyn. Ok, he starts not liking and not showing feelings, then he may have a crush and kisses her out of nowhere when he still thinks he loves someone else, and next time he still talks how he loves someone else but looks at that person thinking how much he loves her and then.. he loves Adalyn. Sure I have read books like this but again.. Went from indifference to love without much story to actually make him fall in love was so.. ugh. He seems more in love with Bella than Adalyn and we only see Bella once.

- Maria.. Maria at this point dosn't even seem real because of her personality. The author seems to want to make her badass but it seems so forced.

- Lucca.. Lucca was supposed to be the bad boy but acts like a kid in things like get upset because Vincent was looking at Chloe with his "pretty" face. Is this the mean and matured character I fell in love?

- The series is about mafia and supposed to be darker and I can't see anything when this book was all about childish characters and actions with forced funny lines and scenes.


I'm.. well. At least Angel was a sweet. I’m upset because this series started great and now I’m between keep trying or give up because.. ugh :/
