3.5 Hot Mess Express Stars ⭐
Sexploration was a pleasant surprise. I had this preconceived notion that this story would be a smutty age gap / brothers best friend romance. But after finishing it, it felt a lot more than that. I think it was a beautiful representation of second chance love, and watching the long game pay off.
“Well, you can’t dwell on all that now. It’s time to saddle up and find a new dick to ride.”
Left without choices, Josie is staying in her brother's and his best friend's bachelor pad after leaving her husband. Actually, August is the perfect balm for the soul. His humour and apparent crush is exactly what Josie needs after being cheated on and belittled.
It's no secret that August has always lusted after this older woman. Initial intentions were to offer comfort but as the tension builds between them, this could be happening after all. He just needs Josie to stop pretending that they couldn't be more.
“Listen . . . I’m trying to behave here.” He leans in, planting his good hand on the counter next to me. “But if you keep putting those gorgeous lips on me, I can’t be held responsible for my actions.”
I'm being generous with my rating because I think many readers would enjoy this. It is actually slow burn for a novella and I really liked that our hero August had substance. Once again this should've been full length because it would have been excellent seeing these two in an actual relationship instead of just a snippet of it all.

Sexploration by Amber Danielle and Tinley Blake is a brother's best friend romantic comedy novella.
This is the first book of Amber and Tinley's that I have read, and it won't be my last. I loved the chemistry between August and Josie. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
I can't wait for the next book in the series to be announced so we can get Parker's story.
I would recommend this book if you like romantic comedies, age gap romances, or brother's best friend romances.

This book is one steamy, quickie read! I absolutely love Josie and August. If I was in Josie's shoes, I would have done the same thing as her. I mean really who can resist a handsome roommate that has "magic fingers".
If you like age gap romance stories than you will want to treat yourself to this book. Besides all the steam, it had some funny moments. Plus, Josie just goes to show you that second chances with the "right" guy can be very, very fun.
The last few pages of the story play into Josie's friend, Parker. There is something happening between Parker and Elias. I can't wait to read Parker's story.

Let me start out by saying; I love the chemistry between August and Josie! And the fact that he was pining after her for like ever? 😍 love that!
Overall their story was cute. I loveddddd when Auggie punches Josie’s douchbag ex; truly a great turning point. I felt as though it was at that point where Josie started to see August a little differently; dare I even say as if he was her knight in shining armor.
As always, the sex scenes were my favorite. I wish there was more of them. I would have loved to hear all about August and Josie banging all over the house.
The duel point of view? Also amazing. I’m so used to reading about the girl who falls first, but hearing how he fell first was a warm surprise.
This is a quick read and a fun read. Totally recommend.

4.5/5 ⭐️ I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review, and this book is AWESOME. There’s all the best tropes in this story: age gap, brothers best friend, strong woman/golden retriever man, and the man is just *gone* over this girl. The buildup between Josie and August is impeccable, and the payoff in the 🌶 scenes is worth everything. This book was short, sweet, and full of good times. I also love the flirty quips from August, and the friendship banter between Parker and Josie. I will definitely be waiting for the next book!

I LOVED this book! I'm not much for rom coms but this was written so well and made so much sense! I really enjoyed that "c*m in my pants like a teenager" was never used and there was ONE comment similar to this. I feel like so many rom coms have it to much! Can't wait to read the next one!

Oh, dang!! This book is good. So, so good. I could not put it down and finished it in one morning! It's a quick read but doesn't leave you feeling disappointed. At all. .. It is completely 100% an erotic romance that is steamy and has a slow build up.. A lot of times you're left feeling like it was just sex and no story but this book had plenty of storyline and was incredibly well-written. No eye rolls from me due to unbelievable dramatics or a bad storyline. This was everything I needed and wanted! It was fun, had depth, great writing and the relationship between Josie and August was perfect. Looking forward to reading Parker's story next!!

Moving in with her little brother and his best friend was not the typical plan but Josie had no other option. Staying another second with Tommy was the definition of hell on earth. Only she wasn’t expecting to see August in the door way when she arrived, soaking wet dragging her luggage and trying to get the door open. He’s the kind of guy to make a woman’s insides mush, but definitely too young for her, right?

What can I say about this book other than hot, fantastic and sexy?! Sexploration is such a good book and I highly recommend you read it. It is a short read but words are the only thing this book is short on. First of all, you two great characters with so much sexual tension and great chemistry between them. Then you have the fact that this is an older woman with a younger man.
The book starts off the FMC, Josie’s life being turned upside down and her having to move into her younger brother’s house. Where he and his best friend live. The brother and his best friend have a company together and the brother is in a different country. See where I am going with this? The best friend, August is supposed to be there also but was asked to stay back so that Josie was not alone during this difficult time. Right off the bat these two have great chemistry together. Josie is almost forty and August twenty-six years old. August is a walking and breathing Adonis and he wants Josie and has for years now. Even though our girl is almost forty, she is still a curvaceous knockout. August wants to surf on those curves all day long.
I could not put this book down and hated when it ended but loved how it ended. Seriously, go read it. Just make sure to have cool water next to you and a fan on high, got to cool yourself down somehow after reading this book.

I knew I was going to love this book from the first line. August is a dream book boyfriend!! You'll find yourself wanting to scream through the pages to just tell Josie to go for it! I loved the banter the two of them had! Super quick spicy read that everyone needs!

The banter between August and Josie is just funny. Like two chapters in and giggling and smirking type of funny. The tension between the two is like walking in a room and feeling the weight of it pressing down on you, so when it’s finally fulfilled it’s suck a relief. His protectiveness wasn’t overbearing for his character, and it seemed like exactly what Josie needed after her idiot of an ex. Parker seems like the perfect friend she needed, even when it might have seen like too much to her at times.
I think I would have liked to have read how it went telling Milo, but overall this book left nothing out. This was such a lighthearted book with a perfect amount of spice! I can’t wait to read Parker’s book and see what’s in store for her.

I received an ARC for this book and loved it. What a sweet, sexy little book with a super satisfying ending. I definitely recommend it to anyone who would like a steamy brother's best friend or reverse age gap romances with golden retriever heroes and out of practice, older, recently divorced heroines!

This book is so much fun! I enjoyed the chemistry, humour and banter between the main characters. Loved the epilogue and am looking forward to the next book in the series as well.

truly one of the best, cute, sexy & swoon worthy short read i've ever personally read.
even though it was short, it didn't feel like it was moving too fast, man i loved it.
honestly i've never had interest in reading reverse age gaps but it was so subtle and well put that i didn't even notice it.
the writing was extremely professional yet 'chill' at the same time, it was satisfying reading a book this good in a long time.

I got this book as an ARC and let me tell you I did not expect to love it as much as I did.
Josie has just left her 10 year marriage after her husband admits to cheating on her and decides to move temporarily into her brother's house thinking she would have the place to herself as he and his roomate/business partner are supposed to be away for a few weeks on a trip but SURPRISE! August has stayed behind to make sure she is okay and let me tell you the chemistry from the beginning (it probably didn't hurt that there have been years of unrequited feelings for at least one party).
This books is fast paced with fantastic banter, two wonderfully developed main characters with enough spice and drama to keep readers hooked! I have never really read a friends to lovers romance and while it may not be my main pick in terms of tropes I constantly find myself reaching for I seriously loved how it worked in this story. I also really loved the discovery within Josie herself, especially after becoming so comfortable with being a specific person for so long. Her growth and ability to change certainly gives hope to those who may be in the same boat and show that it is more than possible to reinvent and rediscover yourself later on in life.
The spice in this story was also fantastic! Let me tell you August certainly has a way with words and they are HOT. I'm pretty sure they are so hot that not even the fire department could put those fires out.
I just wish that the next book was out now because I can't wait to read all about Parker and her path to love
Josie has just left her 10 year marriage after her husband admits to cheating on her and decides to move temporarily into her brother's house thinking she would have the place to herself as he and his roomate/business partner are supposed to be away for a few weeks on a trip but SURPRISE! August has stayed behind to make sure she is okay and let me tell you the chemistry from the beginning (it probably didn't hurt that there have been years of unrequited feelings for at least one party).
This books is fast paced with fantastic banter, two wonderfully developed main characters with enough spice and drama to keep readers hooked! I have never really read a friends to lovers romance and while it may not be my main pick in terms of tropes I constantly find myself reaching for I seriously loved how it worked in this story. I also really loved the discovery within Josie herself, especially after becoming so comfortable with being a specific person for so long. Her growth and ability to change certainly gives hope to those who may be in the same boat and show that it is more than possible to reinvent and rediscover yourself later on in life.
The spice in this story was also fantastic! Let me tell you August certainly has a way with words and they are HOT. I'm pretty sure they are so hot that not even the fire department could put those fires out.
I just wish that the next book was out now because I can't wait to read all about Parker and her path to love

Sexploration was not what I expected. As they say, don't judge a book by its title lol. This was a quick and easy read. This novella is a brother's bestfriend reverse age gap romance.
After 10 years of marriage Josie found out her husband was cheating and she is out of there faster than light. (trust me you are on her side with that decision). She decides she is going to stay at her brother's apartment while he is away on a business trip. She will have the place to herself and will be able to come with a plan for what's next or so she thought.
Q in the HOT brother's best friend (August) that skipped the business trip to stay back and make sure his best friend's sister/ his biggest secret crush for a decade is okay. (swoon)
Little does she know her little brother's best friend is about to rock her world. Literally!
August is sweet as freaking pie. The way he worships Josie in and out of the bedroom is just simply amazing. He is funny, attentive and a downright Adonis.

August has been infatuated with Josie for years. He's always had a huge crush on her but never acted on it. I mean this is his best friends sister and she is almost 10 years older than him. There are feelings between them and things that have been left unspoken for years come in to play. August definitely laid it on thick but I was totally there for the banter.
"I'll bring home dinner tonight. Would you like to be my dessert?"
This novella was a nice fun light read. I liked the characters and the steamy moments were good. This is my first read from either of these authors. Parker's story will be up next and I can't wait to see what fun she gets into.

This was a funny, sexy and well written novella written by new to me authors! exploration follows almost 40 year old Josie after she decides to leave her husband when she find out he's been cheating on her. With nowhere to go, she ends staying at her little brothers apartment, until she gets back up on her feet.
August is her brothers best friend & roommate has always had a huge crush on Josie since he was a kid. Hello reverse age gap 😍 What starts out as innocent flirting quickly turns into more when she decides to accept
help from him for her "sexploration" aka getting back out there in the world of sex after being deprived of it in a shitty marriage.
Loved watching Josie gain back her confidence & sexuality. August was so sweet to her & their banter was a fresh of breath air! Definitely recommend this if you want a spicy little novella to get you out of a slump! The epilogue had me really excited for Parker's story!

I received an ARC of this book and I’m so happy I did! I usually read more dark romance so this was way different for me and let me just say it did not disappoint. The characters in this book are so real, fun, and loving once I started I didn’t put it down till it was over. This is the first book I have read from these authors but it won’t be my last! I can’t wait to see what they come up with for Parker and hopefully at some point Milo 😉!

She ends up moving in with her brothers best friend and starts a sexploration with him. August is hot as hell and 🥵🥵 the spice scenes were amazing! This was a quick read, but I loved seeing Josie and Augusts relationship develop and I want more from them in another book or novella.

When Josie’s marriage ends, she finds herself in the awkward position of needing to crash at her brothers place. To her dismay, her little brother’s best friend and roommate is…not so little anymore. August has grown up to an attractive 26 year old man—who happens to be both terribly young for her AND obsessed with her. Josie finds herself equally captivated by August, and soon the two are crossing boundaries they never thought possible.
I adored this book. I usually lean toward very dark romances, so this was pushing me outside my comfort zone but the synopsis sounded so good I just had to get my hands on a copy. I loved the dual perspectives in the writing, and dang….the spice between these two was hot. I was eagerly waiting for the two to just get together already 😂 I 100% recommend this book. It’s a fast novella and, in my opinion, a great summer read.
I’m also so excited for the next book!!!!

I could not put this book down. I was seriously obsessed with August and Josie especially wondering when they would stop fighting it & just do it already haha I really enjoyed how august was wild & sexy but yet loving and protective over Josie. I’m telling you once you start reading it you will not be able to put it down. Not to mention the spice is so good. I love a good tension build up before the action. I’m a sucker for it ha I definitely recommend this book. It’s sexy and sweet.
