Sensational start to a thrilling new series by James P Sumner, author of the Adrian Hell stories! Intense, fast-paced with amazing characters who set about to do what is needed as members of Globa Tech Industries. It is the world's best private defense contractor, and agents are in Mexico searching for a young girl kidnapped from her father. He is an accountant, but there seems to be so much more to the story...
When Jericho,Julie and Ray return with the girl in tow, her father has now asked for personal protection for himself. Ray wants a few days off, so Julie and Jericho head to their new client, who Julie puts in his place immediately!! Realizing he has no choice he comes clean about some 'off-book' activities that are putting his business and family at risk.
Of course, Ray enjoys a young ladies' company, but finds himself with serious trouble as he attempts to return to his job..
A great read, quick and exciting, and the idea of the continuation of these characters brings a big grin to my face!! 5 Star story that you can NOT put down!!

I received an ARC from the author at my request and this is my honest opinion. What a great introduction to the members of the GlobaTech team. This book hits the ground running and never lets up. There are all types of twists and turns. Just when you think you know where it's going it throws you a curve ball and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Granted the characters are a little bit over the top when it comes to physical abilities and attitude, but that's what you expect from this type of action/adventure. The characters are really great, even if they do have egos the size of Texas. I love the relationship between all the members of the team. I look forward to reading more of the GlobaTech world.

I was pretty impressed with this book. It was a fast-paced, action packed, serious thriller. And, yet, it had plenty of comedic relief to ease the tension.

I think this was the first book without Josh Winters at GlobaTech and that was sad. But, I feel, Buchannan did a really good job in taking his place as CEO. He cared about his employees like family, and took care of them out in the field as much as he could.

I really enjoyed the characters of Jericho, Julie and Ray, they were pretty badass. I look forward to learning more about them and to see how their characters develop over time.

I would recommend this book to anyone looking for an action packed thriller. Good work Mr. Sumner!

A spin-off that spun well.

Reader's insight: This book is set in the Adrian Hell world, so if you haven't read that series, I highly recommend starting there. However, if you are sensitive to violence as well as adult language and situations then perhaps give the series a pass.

Jericho, Julie, and Ray have spent two years working together as an elite GlobaTech team yet despite having an effective communication system for emergencies, they know very little about one another. That could prove deadly.

I love how Mr. Sumner weaved the various perspectives together keeping the reader in the loop and at the same time not showing how it all fit together until the final reveal.

Globatech has been hired to protect an accountant, with Jericho and Julie offering close protection while Ray takes an eventful break. Good story and spinoff from Adrian Hell's world. Nice start to the series, with interesting characters.

Love these characters.

I really appreciate how these two series meld into each other to make Adrian's story that much richer. This is even better than a spin off of the main series. On to the next adventure.

Crossfire by James Sumner

Quite interesting. Not as fast-paced or exciting plot as the other 7-8 books of this author that I have read.

Quite a change with characters
on both sides of the mission.
But it all worked out thanks to
coded communication.
