Dance has been my life for as long as I could remember I’ve been laser focused on advancing my professional dancing career It’s the one thing I’ve always wanted To be in control and live my dream on my own terms But that all changed when I met her She was the last person I expected to fall for And now that I’ve fallen Will she be open to reciprocate my feelings?
Xenia
My career as a violinist has taken me all over the world Even to my home country of China to perform Going back there is a painful reminder that in a few years I’d be forced into something every girl dreams of But I’m hesitant to speak of If only that wasn’t the case Because when I met her, my love grew It was something new to me, new to her But how can I tell her that this may not last My feelings for her, I’ve forced myself to deny I can’t be the one to break her heart, it will eat me alive

The hands-on experience in both the radio and television industries helped her acquire a variety of transferable skills. Little did she know, these skills would be an asset, many years later, as she embarked on her journey as a writer.
Currently, she’s released five books: an upper YA romance series entitled Artistic Series (Artistic Love In The Psych Ward and Artistic Soulmates), an NA/A/erotic rockstar romance series entitled Love Sick Series (Illicit Dose Of Scars and Illicit Dose Of Chaos), and a stand alone sapphic romance entitled Lyrical Symphony.
She has been interviewed on various different radio stations and podcasts in regard to her books. She’s also participated in various book related events/book signings as well. She enjoys the art of creating whether it’s writing a blog, a script, song lyrics, a poem, or a book.
Lyrical Symphony is a quick, heartwarming read. It’s an instant love story, but their journey to forever isn’t without struggles. There is also an underlying story about expectations and how sometimes you have to break those expectations in order to follow your heart.
Lyric and Xenia are both very career driven and in the arts. Lyric is a dancer and Xenia is a violinist, and it is actually through friends and the arts that they initially meet. And the draw they feel toward one another is instant. There is no hesitation, even though neither has been in a relationship with a woman before. They don’t really question being together outside of the pressures of family expectations. And eventually a choice has to be made to follow those expectations and lose their chance at love, or to risk everything and grasp at that chance with all they have.
If you are looking for a quick-paced read and love stories with interracial couples, instant love, friendship, and the arts, with a bit of spice added in, then check out Lyric Symphony!
Thank you Regina for the ARC and for the opportunity to read this wonderful book.
This is a great love-at-first-sight book, with a twist, not only it's a fast-falling love but Lyric also dreams about Xenia before she has even met her. Both Xenia and Lyric are extremely focused on their careers and want to go far with them, but when their worlds collide they can't help but not look further into the future with each other in mind.
These two beautiful women who have only ever dated men, explore their desires and attraction to one another. With some ups and downs they both battle to fight for their relationship especially when their families get involved, but with the support of their friends, anything is possible.
I recommend this book, it's a lovely story of two women with amazing friends and who doesn't like that?
Wow!! I got an ARC copy of Lyrical Symphony. This is my first book by this author it won't be the last book of hers I read. She had me by the first few pages, I had to make myself put it down to go to bed. You won't be disappointed in this book. It is a must read. If I could I would give it more then 5 stars.
Regina Ann Faith Lyrical Symphony: An Interracial Sapphic Slow Burn Romance (Stand Alone)
It's refreshing to see a story about two women who didn't expect to fall in love, but do so anyway. The fact that they come from different cultural backgrounds adds an interesting dynamic to the story, as it highlights the challenges that can arise when two people with different traditions and expectations come together.
The theme of family expectations and traditions is also an important one, as it's something that many people can relate to. The fact that the two women have to navigate this issue and find a way to overcome it is inspiring and shows the power of love and determination.
The focus on found family is also a great aspect of this novella. It's a reminder that family doesn't have to be blood-related, and that sometimes the people who support and love us the most are the ones we choose to have in our lives.
Overall, this novella is a great read for anyone who enjoys a good romance with a bit of spice, as well as themes of family, culture, and the power of love.
I would like to thank the author for the advance copy of the book it’s available on Amazon! I highly recommend this book 5 stars!
If you enjoy found family tropes, love at first sight, late coming out, interracial couples and spice then this novella is for you.
This quick-paced book is about two career focus women who didn't hadn't dated anyone but men in the past, and didn't really want to find love until they found each other. Meeting each other through friend and family connections, Lyric, a Black American dancer and Xenia, a Chinese first-chair Violinist, fall head over heels for each other.
Family expectations and traditions come between the two, and this novella follows the two going through this, and how they overcome it.
I really liked the fact that this book shows the importance of friends, and what found family actually means especially when unsupportive families are involved. I liked the pacing of the book, and I really enjoyed the spice.
Thank you to Regina Ann Faith for a copy of the eArc. I leave this review voluntarily. P.S This cover is amazing.
The two main characters of Lyrical Symphony, Lyric and Xenia, grab the reader from the beginning, tantalizing them into the folds of the story, an interracial romance fraught with cultural expectations. One viscerally feels the tension of their families' pull towards separation, a tension that is expertly juxtaposed with a beautiful, loving eroticism that burns slowly and deeply between the two women. This is a page turner of a book, if ever there was one. When the story was over, I didn't want to let go of the characters. This is an author you will want to follow for years and years, hoping she will continue to write until she is 100!!
Interesting story. I liked both the main characters and sympathized with them. They were discovering a side they hadn't explored before and wanted to follow their hearts. As for the friends, I liked Bri but wasn't a fan of Sierra. She came off pushy in regards to Lyric's dating life, and I didn't like her behavior at times.
I wish the story was longer so I could get to know the characters more, and I would have liked for Lyric's parents to be more present in the book.
Overall, again, it's a good story. Just some confusing parts where the author mixed up names and a few typos.
This is a quick read with a love-at-first-sight romance. It is emotional and touches on the difficulty of coming out and unsupportive families. But the overall theme of friendship and love winning is seen throughout. I think this book is worth reading.
Highly anticipated - very disappointed. I love it when creative people date each other and the idea of a Black Dancer falling for a Chinese-American violinist sounds great. But this was terrible in many ways and I kind of feel I should not have finished the book. But at least I can give my full opinions like this. (I have just been having shit luck with trying out new authors.)
• the writing is not good. First up, the sentence structure consists of short, simple sentences. There is no rhythm or flow to the writing (and it's not a debut). • the dialogue. Very stilted, often plot irrelevant. It was cringe to read. so much unnecessary information in general. Every character was introduced liked this: "This is [name]. They have [color] hair and [color eyes]. Description of clothes and/or age and occupation." • In general, I could not care less about what type of jeans Lyric was wearing on any given day • maybe I am totally out of the loop when it comes to concerts but where do goth concerts happen in places with seats and orchestra pits - why would that be an appealing place to listen to goth music. • the midway climax. • this is not a slow burn (and not because of the page count)
