I am Nora Ash, and I write a plethora of different romance books. Some of them are really dirty, some of them are only kinda-dirty, some are paranormal, some are contemporary… Basically, I have a rampant imagination and no way of controlling it, except from just writing down whichever idea pops into my head at the time.

The one thing my books always have in common, though? A great story and a guaranteed HEA.
If you’re ever in doubt about what you’re about to read, have a look at my book page. It has a flame rating for each series, so you know what you’re getting yourself into!

I’m originally from the cold North (AKA Scandinavia) but these days I live in rainy England with my amazing fiancé and our two pesty cats. When I’m not writing, I’m probably reading, watching Real Housewives of Wherever (reality tv it’s my shameful addiction) or hiking in whatever bit of woodland I can find.

Three fun facts about me

I once ran away with a traveling circus
I’m bilingual. Almost-kinda trilingual, but my Spanish is terri-bad these days.
I’m a decent rider (English style only, though)

4.5 stars for Nora Ash's short story, the beginning to Protector: Treachery < - insert shameless plug - > preorder available on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BJWBCVCF or other preferred retailers: https://nora-ash.com/books/protector-...

**Important to note this ends on a cliffhanger, though the author was kind enough to end it with a sex scene and claiming bite** I'm looking forward to the release of the full book. I'm okay with cliffhanger endings if the author is upfront about it and Nora always is.

Look, it's no secret the past few years I've kept up with The Real Housewives of Omegaverse drama and I'm a fan of Nora Ash. Not just her books, but the integrity she's demonstrated through how she engages with her fans and other authors. I'm not one to rate a book highly simply because of this and I'm pleased to say this scratched the dark/twisted omegaverse itch I've had. This story is unique in that it stars an antiheroine with some serious prejudices against the Alpha, who is essentially an AI soldier. This read like a mix between X-Men and Fury by Laurann Dohner (except it's the heroine doing the torturing). I can see the hero's humanity and I seriously, seriously hope he puts the heroine through it as the story continues. She deserves some punishment.

Trigger warnings for dehumanization of the male MC by the heroine (though I see the way for redemption), violence, & serious dubcon

Rage - Nora Ash - Did Not Read

Cliffhanger

War Prize of the Beast - Alison Aimes - 4 stars

Anara is an Omega and lives in an unforgiving land. When her clan is attacked, she is claimed by the Alpha Cheim. The Berserketh takes her to his cave and discovers he doesn’t want to eat her. He wants to claim her…body and soul. This was steamy and fun to read with a HEA.

The Unexpected Visitor - Merel Pierce - 3.5 stars

Riden is an alpha banished to the landscape outside the cities after a war. He runs into an Omega named Syra and they strike up a friendship that turns into more. When Riden helps her through her heat, the two of them realize they could build a life together. Super sweet and steamy with a HFN.

Ruled by the Omega - L.V. Lane - 3 stars

Imogen is an Omega with power in an apocalyptic world. She has yet to mate but shares her bed with Alphas Aiden and Cooper. When the Alpha Rowan comes onto the scene, things get spicy. Aiden and Cooper have a past with Rowan and Imogen is happy to try and create a bond. Super super steamy. MFM with MM which if you follow me you know I’m not a fan of MM when a F is involved. Overall, a decent read with a HEA.

Lost - Hannah Haze - 2 stars

Nafia is an Omega on a hunting party with her tribe and Alpha Hensta is with her. They get separated and discover their connection. Honestly, this was too sweet. Nafia was also a raging brat and Hensta was not alpha male material. I didn’t really like it all that much but it ended with a HEA.

Taken by the Tanker - V.T. Bonds - 4 stars

Dark and filthy. Hoss steals Omega Char and makes her his. I wish I got to read more about their relationship. Complete with a HEA.

Mastering the Alpha - Anna Fury - 4 - 4.5 stars

Alistair and Evangeline are fire. Evangeline works for Alistair and soon their Alpha/Omega bond flourishes. Hot AF with a HEA. I wanted more.

Under the Golden Moon - E.J. Frost - Did Not Read - No Rating

Cliffhanger

The Alpha's Revelation - Marlowe Roy - 3 stars

Rosemary finds Samson badly injured and nurses him back to health. They're an Omega and Alpha pair. This was short and steamy and a little confusing. But overall not bad with a HFN.

Alpha's Freak Show - Raevyn London - Did Not Read - No Rating

Not interested

Ruin - D.E. Chapman - Did Not Read - No Rating

MM with MFM

His Dark Touch - Flora Quincy - 3 stars

Tenora has suffered and when her alpha comes back, all hell breaks loose. This was ok. Pretty dark with a HFN.

Ruled by the Alpha is a delicious Anthology filled with rough Alpha’s that may think they rule, but do they really?
Because Omega’s may be smaller and weaker, they most certainly aren’t stupid!
Each story has it’s own quality, and plays in it’s own world.
But they all have one thing in common….you don’t mess with fate!

4 stars: Nora Ash’ Rage goes back to the world of Alpha. With the one that sacrificed himself to help everyone escape.
Only to end up as AX2….under the cruel command of dr. Thompson.
She sees him only as her creation, not as human. So,every human trait he shows, like an erection,is frowned upon.
Until General Thompson interferes.
And AX2 finds out he’s not the only one.
That brings back emotions he thought he’d lost. But he can’t help, but worry what they’re planning for them….
Until the General takes him aside and gives him new orders….his daughter has been taken by the Russians and he needs to get her back.
What i need now,is Protector,Treachery…..please?

4 stars: Alison Aimes’ War Prize of the Beast tells Anara’s story.
The Omega and her clan have been suffering for a long time, and now a new enemy is taking even more lives.
The Beserketh that finds her,and plans to kill her,is interrupted by another, though…
And once he’s won,Cheim drags his prize to his cave, intending to take his time killing it.
But Anara is covered in mud and Cheim doesn’t want to spoil his meal,so he cleans her with water first. Only to find she smells delicious….and his hunger changes into something else.
But is Anara ready to be the prize Cheim now wants her to be?
A delicious short that i really enjoyed.

4 stars: Merel Pierce’s Unexpected Visitor is Omega Rysa, who tries to raid Alpha Riden’s camp for food when she knows he’s out hunting.
Riden had been shunned from society after he made it clear he didn’t approve of how Omega’s and Beta’s were treated like breeding stock.
Living alone was his best option, and the forest was a good place to stay. Until Syra.
She was a frightened little Omega, but a brave one too.
Finding out she’d been living in the wild,on her own,for so long?
He admired the hell out of her!
And he liked her, too….enough to do his best to entice her to come back to him.
It worked, and she started to trust him.
To see him for the honorable man he was.
Until her heat rose….and 2 other Alpha’s entered his territory, trying to get to her.
He’d give his life to keep her safe, and they just made a fatal mistake.
But how would Syra feel about him afterwards?? A sweet tale of love and honor in a brutal world.

4 stars: L.V. Lane’s Ruled by the Omega is Imogen’s story.
She’s an Omega in charge of her own community after the Apocalypse.
She’s also in charge of her own 2 Alpha’s,Cooper and Aiden.
But trouble is brewing, and their neighbor Alpha Rowan, who works for Taylor, has come to warn them.
He offers his help, but it’s not until a year later that she’s forced to accept.
She knows he has bad history with her Alpha’s,but they won’t tell her what happened.
In a world where Omega’s are owned, she’s worried about what Rowan wants in return, but she also knows she’s out of options….
What actually happens,is so much more than she expected,though…..A hot little story of tough choices and rewards.

3 stars: Hannah Haze’s Lost is Naifa’s story.
She grew up in a world after Mother Earth reclaimed what was hers.
Her tribe lives off the land, and she wants to contribute to feeding them by going on the hunt with the others, even if she is Omega.
Because she wants to be more than an Omega that brings children into the world.
She’s known Hensta all her life, and played with him when they were children.
But now? Now he’s all grown up,pure Alpha, and interested in her….and she doesn’t know what to do with that knowledge.
When they get seperated from the others during the hunt, they have to find their way back to them. And during the days they need to catch up,things slowly seem to change between them.
She knows Hensta is a good man,but mating, having children???
This was more or less a coming of age story, and even though it was sweet,it’s not really my kind of story….

4 stars: V.T. Bonds’ Taken by the Tanker.
Char has had a miserable life growing up as an Omega in the Waterworld.
Shunned from society, because all Omega’s are barren, she’s been living with cruel Beta’s in Alpha Trik’s territory.
But somehow, just when she’s sure her first heat is near,The Tanker has found her.
Killing everyone nearby,Hoss then grabs her seconds before she manages to escape….
Knowing she can never give him what he wants,Char is certain he will kill her next. Instead,Hoss takes her down to his level, and dumps her in a large bath where she’s convinced by his actions that he’s about to drown her.
When she’s still alive after, and he forces her to eat,she doesn’t know what to expect anymore….
He seems to have a method in his madness, but whatever for?
And then her heat rises as he expertly plays her body…..
Will she survive that,ánd him?

3 stars: Anna Fury’s Mastering the Alpha
Even before the change,Alistair didn’t do people. He may have a brilliant mind, but he doesn’t know how to deal with them.
Only his brother understands him….and maybe his assistant,Evangeline.
But he’s been feeling a little…off..lately.
And it’s worse when she’s near.
This Alpha stuff he’s been infected with is getting worse by the day!
Evangeline likes working for Alistair, even if he likes everything in an exact order, and on a precise moment.
She’s been attracted to him ever since she started working for him,but it’s grown since he was infected.
And lately, her body is involuntarily reacting to him…and it’s worse when he’s near.
Can Alistair hold onto his control,or will he allow himself to let go?
And what will be the consequences if he does?

4 stars: E.J. Frost’s Under the Golden Moon is the beginning of Kieran’s story.
Born an Alpha, she turns into an Omega and her father forces her to mate Justlinn of the house of Tomarr.
Ready to refuse, she finds he has a surprise for her….one she will find impossible to refuse.
He has a nephew,a bastard son of his brother.
And that nephew is the Alpha she was determined to mate with.
She knows in her heart, she has no other choice than to agree to the arrangement Justlinn offers her.
Her mate in name,Justlinn, and her mate in truth,Morgan, take her to her new home.
But they are both forced to leave soon after,to fight in the King’s war.
Morgan dóes leave her with a precious gift, though…she’s pregnant with his Alpha son.
She keeps their home safe as long as she can,but the war turns in a direction that leaves her,and her people, at the mercy of the enemy.
Leaving me with a cliffhanger that’s devastating……

3 stars: Marlowe Roy’s The Alpha’s Revelation
Rosemary is living a lonely life after her father died.
Losing her mother when she was a child, and only a few years ago,her father, meant she was all alone.
Surrounded by nature, her only companions her dog and cat.
Until her dog found the body of a man….
One that,to her shock, was still breathing.
She couldn’t leave him lying there,in the water,to die….now could she?
But,just to make sure he couldn’t harm her when he gained his strenght, she bound him firmly to his bed.
Only when he woke up,he presented a whole new kind of danger….
Samson managed to seduce her merely by opening his eyes!
And once he started talking,it only got worse…and she couldn’t stop her body reacting to him.
But what was he saying about her being an Omega???
After all that he’d been through,Samson couldn’t believe an Omega had him tied to a bed.
Him,an Alpha….Ok,he had been badly injured,but still.
He had to find a way to convince her to let him go,but how?
Seeing her reactions to him,to his voice,he had a great idea.
He’d seduce her….only it turned out he had one problem.
He didn’t want to leave anymore….

4 stars: Raevyn London’s Alpha’s Freak Show
Jacob is the only one of his family still alive, but he worries it might not last for much longer.
Being an Alpha, and knowing the few remaining Omega’s are the King’s property,it won’t be long until he’s lost to the rage of an unmated Alpha.
And that means certain death.
Until a circus comes to town.
With an Alpha Freak Show.
That states it has an Omega?
He gets everything he owns from the bank to make sure he’s going to be able to see this Omega, and maybe even get close…
Once he does though,he finds that she’s his mate, and standing between them living happily after is her “owner” Clarence.
Who has terrible plans for the two lovers.
What will happen once Jacob has claimed his Deliya?

4 stars: D.E. Chapman’s Ruin
Evelyn has been struggling to keep herself, her 7 year old twin sisters and her best friend Weston, safe and fed.
Whitshell is a rough part of the city, but they’re trapped there.
She joined the rebels because she wanted a better future for the twins.
A future where they wouldn’t have to be afraid to become Omega, like her and Weston.
On her days off duty, she does her best to gather as much food as she can, while Wes stays with the twins.
Only this time, she’s caught, tortured and left hanging on a pole in the square….to die. When she doesn’t come home,Wes starts searching for her.
But he’s caught too….by an Alpha!
One that wastes no time in claiming him. When his new Alpha,Maddox, attempts to take him home,Wes sees Eve hanging, bloody and bruised.
Maddox gives into his desperate pleas, and claims her, too.
The Betas guarding her are quick to hand her over when they find out who he is.
Once home,he sends for a healer, and all seems to be well.
Until Eve wakes up,and needs reassurance….
Not only on what kind of Alpha claimed her ánd Wes,but where the twins are.
Just after Maddox tells her the arrangements made, chaos erupts.
Are they still safe with Maddox?
And what about the twins?

3 stars: Flora Quincy’s His Dark Touch
Tenora has been suffering in Yuna’s brothel ever since the nuns sold her.
Her virginity still intact, she’s been beaten within an inch of her life so often,it’s a miracle she’s still healing.
But that’s the Omega’s curse….the fact that she can take that beating, have broken bones and so much more, and still be whole the next day.
Not only her body, but her mind remains intact, too.
If only the Alpha in her dreams hadn’t left her….
But somehow,this night,he’s back.
And he’s cursing her as much as she is him. Calling her a whore, claiming she’s been fucked by so many.
But when she shows him the evidence she’s not,he is stunned.
Hearing what happens for real, and why, that makes him roar in anger.
Because of the deal that was made with the Beta’s of this world.
The deal they obviously didn’t honor.
But it doesn’t change her situation….not for a while anyway.
Until she takes control of her life.
Until she starts to remember who she really is.
And then he returns to her…..with an army of Alpha’s.
What will happen to everyone now?
Who will be left when the dust settles?

My review is for War Prize of the Beast by Alison Aimes:

I loved this so much! Who knew I’d fall so hard for a beserketh? Cheim is one sexy AF beast.

I was immediately pulled in and quickly entranced by this author’s words within the first few paragraphs. Doesn’t surprise me though, because Alison Aimes.

I always love to lose myself in the worlds Alison creates. So freakin’ creative! Vivid descriptions made me swear I was actually there, in that cave, experiencing everything. I could smell the scents, hear the growls, feel the passion.

Cheim & Anara…alpha & omega…predator & prey.

The only way these two were meant to be together was one would kill and the other would BE killed. But man oh man, Alison worked her magic and once that connection between them hit and that bond grew stronger, it was powerful and it was fierce.

Even with all the intense action in this story, there was also a fun amount of humor sprinkled in, even a little sweetness and happiness, all alongside a healthy dose of steam and plenty of raw and primal deliciousness.

I absolutely loved this story. If you’ve never read Alison Aimes before, this would be a great place to start.

I got the chance to read Alison's story in this anthology early, & I devoured it in around an hour! 😍

My short review for WAR PRIZE OF THE BEAST by ALISON AIMES

What happens when Predator falls for Prey? A steamy fast-paced primal fated-mate romance! Alison writes thrilling Sci-fi Alpha-Omega stories & this one was as commanding as ever.

Anara is an omega whose clan only knew pain due to Alpha beasts. Monsters.
Cheim is an Alpha, who'd only known rage, rage & rage - until Anara.

He claimed her as his War Prize for saving her, but she's not going down without a fight!

She was meant to be his prey – but they become eachother's everything. Happiness. Pleasure.

C+A were so entertaining, I loved that she tried to escape, him bargaining was fun! The chemistry, their realisation about their bond (& magic 🤭) was epic.

C+A made me unexpectedly tear-up too, I was rooting for'em through the climax! The epilogue wrapped things up well 🥰.

P.s. This is also a (standalone) prequel to Alison's Ruthless Warlord series (surprise me!). A real good way to show how Alphas & Omegas found about their sacred bond! I hope she writes more of these stories :-D

Mastering the Alpha by Anna Fury - 4.25 stars

I really enjoyed this! Neurodivergent tech guru alpha + his live-in assistant. The world building was light but effective, and then it was basically steam, steam, steam. I dnf’d the first book in this series, but might go back and give it another go.

Length: 708 pages

Anthology includes the following stories:

Rage by Nora Ash: Ax2 is a genetic experiment, and Addie won't let anyone take over her life's work by taking him away from her influence. Ax2 hates Addie; she's his torturer as far as he's concerned. But when she's kidnapped, her father sends him to rescue her, and to do so, he must claim her as an alpha.

War Prize of the Beast by Alison Aimes: Anara is an omega living in a dangerous world when she is kidnapped by the beserketh Cheim. He is monstrous but seems to calm around Anara, even when she discovers a new talent.

The Unexpected Visitor by Merel Pierce: Riden is on his own, an Alpha without anyone to rule, until he meets Syra. She is a skittish omega and he intends to woo her, gently and sneakily.

Ruled by the Omega by L.V. Lane: Imogen is something rare: an omega in charge. Even though the men accept her ruling them in a military and strategic capacity, when it comes to her body, Cooper and Aiden are in charge. Then she meets Rowan, who has an unknown history with the two alphas. Can she bring them all together for the good of everyone?

Lost by Hannah Haze: Nafia and Hensta are on a hunt when separated from their group. Nafia is odd for an omega, wanting to hunt instead of mate and have babies. Hensta is in love with her and has been for some time. While lost, the two of them learn more about each other and come to an important decision.

Taken by the Tanker by V.T. Bonds: Char is an omega on one of the floating cities, unvalued and despairing. When Hoss attacks and steals her away, taking her into the dark underworld of the tanker, she thinks she is done for, but she finds that he has plans other than tearing her apart.

Mastering the Alpha by Anna Fury: Alistair presented as an Alpha, and he has been hiding ever since, knowing that he would be hunted otherwise. Luckily, he has Evangeline as his assistant, even if they don't know she's an omega. When he goes into a rut, though they're going to find out exactly how the dynamics work.

Under the Golden Moon by E.J. Frost: (Prequel to the Six Shattered Kingdoms) Kieran believed herself an alpha and acted accordingly, but then, to everyone's surprise, she presented as an omega, and in order to escape a death sentence, she must marry Justlinn, a member of another royal family. But when she meets him, she finds that his nephew, Morgan, is someone from her past.

The Alpha's Revelation by Marlowe Roy: Rosemary finds Samson near death and takes him back to her house. She's worried about her safety though and so she ties him to the bed while he heals. He isn't happy about this and he sets about seducing her in order to get free...that is, until his motives change.

Alpha's Freak Show by Raevyn London: Jacob finds himself at a "freak show" one day, lured in by the promise of seeing an omega. He does more than just see her, though, when he discovers that Deliya is his mate.

Ruin by D.E. Chapman: Evelynn is a rebel, trying to make things better in a world run by aggressive, greedy alphas. She is caught, though, and her friend Wesley (her secret love) must find a way to save her. A local alpha, Maddox, finds Wes before he can do anything though, and claims him as his mate. Wes only asks for one thing though: To save Evelynn. Looks like Maddox might be swimming in mates.

His Dark Touch by Flora Quincy: Tenora despairs of things ever changing. She is an omega whose use is to be hurt and nothing else. The alphas have abandoned the world and the omegas are left on their own. But Magnus appears to her in her dreams and soon they must reunite and make important decisions.

This is one of the better anthologies I've read. I usually rate anthologies/collections as 3 stars because the quality of stories varies. This was a solid 5 stars though (and I tend to rate omegaverse collections higher - I guess I like that wolf kink, as the New York Times calls it, lol).
I appreciated that most of this anthology was not dark or super-violent, nor was it extra fluffy (like some of the recent fluffy rh college omegaverse stories). There was some dub-con, but that is typical for omegaverse. Each story has a well-defined setting that makes sense.

My favorites: Taken by the Tanker (V.T. Bonds) and Under the Golden Moon (E.J. Frost). I'm very interested in continuing the E.J. Frost story when the first book in the series comes out.

I’m a true fan of anthologies because I find new authors and genres to love! Such as this one!

One story that I thoroughly enjoyed was War Prize of the Beast by Alison Aimes. Holy hotness! Never thought I would get all hot and bothered by a beserketh, but I definitely did! Anara is an Omega who knows only death and destruction by the beserkeths, but when she meets Chiem, in a most unexpected way, there is a definite attraction she never thought she would feel. He also has no idea why he suddenly feels the need to protect her rather than destroy. But why? What is it about Anara that throws him into a tailspin? What is it about Chiem that makes her feel safe? While this may be a novella, it sure packs a punch! Loved this story and characters and need more!!

Whew, it is hot in here! I just finished reading a new Alpha/Omega short story, War Prize of the Beast, by Alison Aimes. (It is a part of the new charity anthology, RULED BY THE ALPHA, with a host of wonderful authors.) Alison delivers us hot, steamy reads with wonderful characters like Anara and Cheim, featured in this one. She is part of an omega clan, which is almost extinct; he is a Berserketh, knowing only rage and destruction, until her. In this fated mates tale, we are given a short standalone story that serves as a prelude to Ms. Aimes book RUTHLESS KING (Ruthless Warlords series. I can't wait to read what's next in this great anthology for a cause!

Reviews for stories as stated:

War Prize of the Beast by Alison Aimes
5 stars

Anara, the female omega lead, has been running fear from the alpha beasts who have recently landed on her planet and seem to be focused on tearing the world apart. Cheim, the male alpha lead, has only known unceasing rage but, when he captures Anara and touches her, intending to damage her, he’s shocked to find she brings him calm and peace as well as intense attraction. Now he just needs to convince her that he really has her best interests at heart.

I adore this author’s work. This was an intense, erotic short story, well written in dual POV. I adored Anara’s character development, moving from fear of everything to being willing to push back against Cheim’s demands and then to attempting to fight with him against other enemies. I enjoyed Cheim’s protectiveness - so extreme, and cute, and sweet, whilst still aggressive. Their intimate interactions were erotic and yet integral to the story.

Mastering the Alpha by Anna Fury
5 stars

Alistair, the male alpha lead, is Neurodiverse and lives as a hermit security specialist conducting all his business online or by phone. Evangeline, the female omega lead, has been Alistair’s housekeeper since before the Awakening, when Alphas and Omegas emerged. Whilst the attraction has always been mutual, Alistair now cannot escape his awareness of Evangeline and her arousal in his presence. And now he’s going into rut and taking her with him…

This short story is dual POV, well written, and intensely erotic, with highly emotionally charged scenes for both characters. I enjoyed the relationship development and the pleasure each took in the other through their bond. I was amused by Alistair’s intense dislike of the changes he could feel and see, and his desperate phone calls to his brother, Mitchell, for advice. This story is a companion to the author’s Alpha Compound series, though it stands completely alone.

Lost by Hannah Haze
4.5 stars

Nafia, the female omega lead, is a huntress and glad to be included in her tribe’s hunting party. When chasing a calf, she and Hensta, the male alpha lead and her childhood friend, become separated from the rest of the party. Nafia has never wanted the traditional omega role, especially since many alphas seem to seed omegas and move on but Hensta tells her he’s been waiting for her and will stay with her…

This short story is female lead POV, well written, and a sweet and sexy coming-of-age, friends-to-lovers story. I enjoyed Hensta’s patience and devotion to Nafia, and his willingness to wait until she was ready to choose him. I enjoyed Nafia’s independence and her determination to make her own choices.

The Unexpected Visitor by Merel Pierce
4.5 stars

Riden, the male alpha lead, has been exiled for 6 months for trying to make a more equitable world for the beta and omega members of his town. Living on his own, he’s been trying to make do. When he finds Syra, the female omega lead, rummaging in his pack whilst she thought he was away, he’s amazed. If life was hard for him as an alpha, how much worse must it be for her? He invites her to remain and spend time with him with no obligations. Whilst initially wary, loneliness makes Syra stay, then his kindness keeps her coming back. But when she goes into heat, she tries to hide and some random alphas try to get to her. Now Riden needs to keep her safe…

This short story is dual POV, well written, and a lovely sweet and steamy romance. I enjoyed Riden’s genuine care for Syra - he genuinely expected nothing, though he was hopeful. I enjoyed Syra’s growing feelings for him, though I respected her initial wariness.

Ruin by D.E. Chapman
4 stars

Weston and Evelyn (Wes and Evie), the omega leads, have hidden their designation for years. In a world where alphas have control of all resources, they’re literally starving and never go into estrous because their bodies can’t support it. Yet they still struggle to survive because they’re supporting Evie’s seven year old twin sisters. Then Evie is betrayed as a rebel and beaten and strung up to die. When he goes out to look for her, Wes is found by Maddox, the male alpha lead, who quickly claims him. Finding Evie on their way out of the slums, Wes begs Maddox to save her. But now they to get Evie’s sisters out of the slums and a literal bomb has just gone off…

This short story is tri POV, well written, and extremely fast paced. I enjoyed the genuine well-established though never spoken about romantic love between Wes and Evie. I appreciated Maddox’s self-confidence that let him enjoy Wes and Evie, both separately and together, and I enjoyed the expedited but genuine relationship development between the triad.

Alpha’s Freak Show by Raevyn London
4 stars

Jacob, the male alpha lead, lives in a world where omegas are rare and controlled by the king, doled out as rewards or payment with the average alpha unlikely to ever see one, let alone have a mate. When a freak show comes to town advertising an omega to see for a price, he lines up with all the rest. But once he scents her, he’s desperate to see her, then touch her, feeling that she’s truly his mate. Then the ringmaster captures him and tells him he's the omega’s true mate but he’ll only get to keep her if he shares her with the world for the ringmaster’s price…

This short story is male lead POV, well written, and a bit dark but steamy and well written. I enjoyed the way Deliya, the female lead, had fought when those not her mate tried to engage with her. I enjoyed Jacob’s persistence in getting to Deliya and his willingness to act to protect her. This is the first story I’ve read by this author and I’m hoping to read more in future.

Taken by the Tanker by V.T. Bonds
4 stars

Char, the female omega lead, has been trying to hide and stay out of trouble all her life, having been told omegas are a burden. As she goes into heat, Hoss, the male alpha lead, breaks into her hiding place, killing the betas around her and kidnapping her. She’s been told bad things will happen if a tanker takes her but she finds Hoss caring and considerate, though stern and demanding. Maybe this new life won’t be as bad as she’d been told…

This short story is dual POV, well written, and a cute and steamy read. I enjoyed Hoss’ determination to get and keep an omega and to make her love and trust him. I was amused by his dawning realisation that would also change him. I enjoyed Char’s attempts to maintain her separateness and not give in to Hoss’ dictatorial ways. I appreciated the relationship development and that Hoss sought to care for more than Char’s physical needs, also supplying for her mental health needs, which it seemed no one else had done before.

Ruled by the Omega by L.V. Lane
4 stars

Imogen, the female omega lead, has worked hard to carve out and hold territory since alphas and omegas came into existence. She is supported by Aiden and Cooper, two of the male alpha leads, who are her regular sexual partners but whom she hasn’t claimed as mates. Rowan, the final male alpha lead, is senior in the hierarchy of another alpha’s pack and in charge of land to the north of them. When he sends information that the ex-bikie gang to the side of them is looking at a hostile takeover, Imogen is out of options. But Rowan wants her as part of the deal for protection for her people…

This short story is female lead POV, well written, and an interesting erotic read, with the history between the male leads requiring negotiation. I enjoyed the relationship and character development between all parties and the intimate scenes were engaging and erotic. I understood Imogen’s choices and frustrations and appreciated that she made the best choices for her people as well as herself whilst still wishing for more, though Rowan made sure to offer the best he could.

The Alpha’s Revelation by Marlowe Roy
3.5 stars

Rosemary, the female omega lead, has been living on her own for years since her father died. He kept her so sheltered she doesn’t even know about designations or what her is. Samson, the male alpha lead, has been exiled from his clan when he was betrayed by usurpers pushing him out of leadership. When he’s attacked by a bear in the forest, Rosie saves him. Now he just needs to convince that he is not only not a threat to her but a good choice for her future.

This short story is dual POV, and a simple sweet and steamy read. I was amused by Samson’s work to convince Rosie that he was genuine and not trying to take advantage of her. I enjoyed their relationship development and the way they worked together to make decisions for the future.

Rage by Nora Ash
2.5 stars

AX2, the male alpha cyborg lead, has no memory of his life before his conversion. His only memories are of his tormentors, primarily Addie, the female omega lead and lead researcher. When Addie’s techniques are called into question, she’s furious but has no option other than to obey the military alpha leader and her father. Then AX2’s presence triggers her heat and she has to leave the lab. Shortly after, she is kidnapped by enemy alphas and AX2 is sent to retrieve her by whatever means necessary, which ends up including mating her to override an enemy claim that would otherwise kill her…

This short story is dual POV, well written, but really frustrating because it is not complete. It ends in a serious cliffhanger and there was no indication before I read the story. I found the story interesting through very dark and quite challenging, especially in light of the lack of a satisfactory ending.

Under the Golden Moon by E.J. Frost
2 stars

Another cliffhanger short story that I didn’t know was a cliffhanger before I started. And even more unsatisfactory because the lead characters are not even together at the end. I read romance for my HEA, or at least HFN. Whilst the story is well written, the lack of either makes me cranky. The story is female lead POV, with Kieran, the late revealing omega lead acting as a strong lady warrior (as she was trained) to care for her husband’s property whilst he is at war. Her alpha, Morgan, is not her husband but her husband’s heir and it is an agreement between the three of them because her court ordered husband is old. This situation also didn’t fill me with happiness - it is awfully close to cheating in my opinion and I don’t like that either.

His Dark Touch by Flora Quincy
2 stars

I didn’t like the darkness of this story and I REALLY didn’t appreciate that it was the last one in the anthology. My experiences with anthologies have taught me that the last one is generally a doozy and often, in my opinion, terrible in terms of the theme of the anthology (which, for me, is always romance and HEAs), so I read it early. The outright pain and distress between the lead characters and inflicted upon all omegas was not enjoyable for me. Tenora, the female omega lead, feels betrayed by Magnus, the male alpha lead, and the other alphas who have left omegas to suffer at the hands of betas and I felt that was entirely justified. I never felt like there was a satisfactory resolution. I didn’t enjoy the way Magnus talked to and treated Tenora. I have read one other story by this author and quite enjoyed it. This was truly disappointing.

I received a complimentary copy from the authors and this is my voluntary honest review.

5 🌟 Overall

One of the things I love about anthologies is getting to read a variety of different short stories, and finding new authors I've never read before. This was definitely a mix of authors I already loved and ones I'd never even heard of, and whilst there were two stories I didn't gel with completely and one that just wasn't for me, the others I absolutely adored. Each story is different and individual, the spice levels vary from low to high (one is just erotica as far as I'm concerned 😅), and there's a mix of dystopian sci-fi , contemporary, and fantasy, so there's pretty much something for everybody.

3 🌟- Rage by Nora Ash. There was a disconnect between the characters, which is right for the story, but for me it just meant I couldn't really get into it. This one is very dark M/F romance, although it's very hard to call this a romance as it's not, they are just enemies at this point. Please read trigger warnings for this one, it is very needed.

3 🌟 - War prize of the Beast by Alison Aimes. I liked this story, it just wasn't fully for me, I found some of it a little chessy and strange. M/F romance.

5 🌟 - The Unexpected Visitor by Merel Pierce. I LOVED this! Omg totally adorable, just loved. So heartwarming, he was the epitome of caring Alpha. I want a bonus epilogue of this though, can we like demand one or something? Maybe start a petition? I need to know if he got his shower! M/F romance.

5 🌟- Ruled by the Omega by L.V Lane. Smutty goodness at its best, as always from this author! Loved all of it, the story's great, the smut's great, the tension's great, the character's are great, what's not to love? MMMF why choose romance.

5 🌟 - Lost by Hannah Haze. So sweet and heartwarming, just a truly lovely story. M/F romance.

5 🌟 - Taken by the Tanker by V.T Bonds. Hot, so so hot! He is not a good guy! Definitely morally grey, but..... yes please! Couldn't put this one down, infact I may go read again right now.

5 🌟 - Mastering the Alpha by Anna Fury. Really hot nerdy alpha boss and his assistant, M/F romance. Loved it, both spicy hot and a little adorable.

4 🌟 - Under the Golden Moon by E.J Frost. OK, the story is really a interesting dystopian fantasy and I'm really intrigued to see what happens in the main book and how it concludes. But, the spice scenes were not for me, I didn't like them and found them very cringy, someone else may love them though, but not for me. The story is what I liked in this.

5 🌟 -The Alpha's Revelation by Marlowe Roy. Loved it! Adorable. M/F romance, she saves him and ties him up - oh yeah.

5 🌟 - The Alpha's Freakshow by Raevyn London. Well this is just erotica. 😅
Do check trigger warnings, they are needed! But for me, I just found this whole thing hot. M/F

5 🌟- Ruin by D.E Chapman. Loved it. Dark Dystopian, MMF - don't want to risk spoilers with any thing else.

His Dark Touch by Flora Quincy - no rating because this one just wasn't personally for me but I'm sure others will enjoy.

🔞 This is an 18+ read due to spicy content and dark themes. There's individual content warnings before each story, but be warned there are themes of non-con, dub-con, s/a and in one case r@pe. Some stories are slightly more light and fluffy though, but every single one has dark themes and some triggers. If anyone wants to ask individual questions on any story please do dm.

Several of these stories caught my attention, including War Prize of the Beast by Alison Aimes where Anara is part of an Omega clan hunted to almost extinction by predators on her own planet and now by an invading species, the beserkeths...a huge, deadly predator who can rip up trees in an instant, with only two thoughts, hunt & kill...and she was caught, but then an even larger beserketh took down her captor, she was injured and couldn't slip away from her new threat who took her to his den...Cheim was going to eat this tasty morsel, but it smelled so bad, covered in sticky mud, that he poured water over it to help digestion, only to catch a wonderful smell, an omega in her prime...so would she be his snack or could this small omega tame the beast??? Another story to catch my attention was The Unexpected Visitor by Merel Pierce, where Riden was an alpha thrown out of his place in the city when after a war, betas and omegas were rounded up, treated horridly and enslaved. Speaking out got him banished where he didn't join with any groups as a second alpha wasn't usually wanted and he didn't want the responsibility of being alpha of his own group...after hunting and getting rabbits for dinner, on entering his camp, smells an unmated omega nearby...finding a nearly starving Syra searching for food in his duffels...and invites her to stay...becoming friends when he doesn't try anything with her...she was from outlaying village with all her people dying in war...but will she trust him enough to bond with Riden??? I voluntarily read this book through an Advanced Reader Copy...

Loved Anna Fury's and Merel Pierce's stories in this anthology!

Anna Fury's story is a novella about a character related to the MCs of her first omegaverse series, and it was amazing to be able to see his story! (we also get a very small peek at Mitchell and Ansel!) I love the way she's maintaining her dystopian omegaverse universe, with so many interconnecting plotlines and timelines, and I particularly enjoyed reading about this secluded part of that world!

Merel Pierce's story is a very sweet friends ish to lovers story, with lots of pining and friendship and wholesomeness, I melted so muchh.

I tried a couple other stories which were unfortunately too dark for me (though I did enjoy the writing), but if dark romance is your thing, I'm sure you'll love all the stories in this anthology! That being said, if you do come across a story that is not so dark, please let me know, I'd love to read it!

This is an amazing collection of stories that will grab you and keep you reading. Each of them move along at a pace that is perfect for the flow of each story. Each story has unique and interesting characters that you want to know more about and no matter what happens you want to be there for them. You cannot help but love them no matter what happens. This book is a must read that needs to be on your TBR list, you will not be sorry that you did.

This is a collection of Alpha/omega stories by some of the hottest authors. Each story takes place in a unique dystopian universe, ranging from alien planets to dysfunctional dunes, the stories offer up bite-size relationships with lots of steam. Some of the stories are darker than others, and there are some dub-con aspects to some of the stories, so if you are easily triggered, tread carefully.
Personal favourites in this anthology include the story by LV Lane, Hannah Haze and Merel Pierce, but really all the stories are great.

all the alphas 😍😍

This anthology is full of growly possessive alphas. I loved getting wrapped up in each story. I enjoyed seeing more characters from Anna Furys compound series. I also loved Hannah Hazes new characters! As well as finding so many new to me authors! 🖤🖤🖤

I look forward to downloading anthologies since it’s a great way to sample some new authors and possibly the eventual new book.
Alison Aimes —-War Prize of the Beast
I was lucky enough to read Alison Aimes’ contribution to this anthology and I was blown away! This is one of the best Alpha/Omega read ever! It was creatively written…a breath of fresh air that had me turning the pages hoping this will turn into a full series. It was none stop action but even though it was a short, the characters were well developed. The best line “ Sometimes it’s the choice that matters most” in the awakening of the Alpha Cheim to a world where there is happiness and less pain. I can’t wait for the full length book to be published. If this one turns into a series, I will be devouring each and every book. ❤️❤️❤️

This review is specifically for War Prize of the Beast by Alison Aimes

This story is the prequel of all prequels, the story of how the Alphas and omega discovered their unique dynamic as mates. Anara is an omega who only knows of Alphas as Beasts, ones who devour and destroy all in their path. Cheim only knows hunger, but when he catches the scent of Anara, his goal of eating her changes. I loved how they both had to revise their preconceived beliefs and then work together. I liked that Anara wasn't going to settle for just being prey and fought for more. Great HEA.

I received a copy of this story from the author and I'm voluntarily leaving this honest, unbiased review.

Great Collection of Alphas Here !

***** War Prize of the Beast *****
***** Alison Aimes *****

A fierce predator meets his match. Used to running from gerlex; Anara sees even they run from the newly arrived beserkeths. An electric pulse on contact changes both their lives. Gritty and steamy.

After reading this anthology all I have to say is that I absolutely loved it. I would advise anybody who loves omegaverse to read this anthology. There is a little of everything in here to please readers. Some sweet, some dark, and some that fall somewhere in the grey areas that are sure to thrill most readers. I have reviewed a few of the stories to give an idea of what you will find inside this anthology. I hope you all enjoy reading it as much as I did.

Rage: by Nora Ash

Well… I have to say that I really, really, really hated Addie in this story. I don't think I have hated a FMC, as much as I hate Addie. I don't know if there is anyway that this character can redeem herself. She was hateful, and cruel just because she could be. I don't understand that at all. I find myself wishing that Ax2 had killed her. He would have saved himself a lot of agony if he had.

War Prize of the Beast: by Alison Aimes

For a book that was supposed to be dark… I found it to be to sweet. It was a good book. Just to sweet for me. I did enjoy the give and take between this couple. It was also nice watching them learn, and grow to trust, each other.

The Unexpected Visitor: by Merel Pierce

Well damn! I want more of that story! I hope Merel expands this story more at a later date. I would love to read more about them. Syra and Riden were meant to be together. They were so sweet together it almost makes your teeth ache. I absolutely loved this cute little story and want more of it!

Ruled by The Omega: by L.V. Lane

I loved this book. Absolutely loved it and want more of it! A couple of these characters seemed kind of familiar… I am going to have to do some research and see if L.V. has a series going that is connected with this book.. Or if I am just confusing it with another book. It is entirely possible. I read so many. Either way I hope this story is not finished. I want to know more about Imogen, Rowan, Aiden, and Cooper. Something tells me their story is far from finished and I want to read it!

Lost: by Hannah Haze

This one is not my cup of tea. I just couldn't connect with the characters in this story. The story itself just seemed stilted.

Taken by the Tanker: by V.T. Bonds

I think this is the first book written by V.T. that I didn't absolutely love the alpha in it. I'm not sure what it is about Hoss… but I just didn't care for him that much. He just struck me as being too cold and calculating I guess. Not really sure what it was. I just didn't take to him like I usually do with her alphas. He wanted to own her but didn't really want Char to own any part of himself. He tried his best to keep her from putting a claiming mark on him when he claimed her. I think this part right here was what sealed it for me and kept me from loving this alpha.

‘His growl drops to a purr so low my bones shake’

With the concentration of Alphas and Omegas, in this Ruled By The Alpha: A Dystopian Omegaverse Anthology, you may need to pace yourself.

This group of authors provide stories that create a depth of emotional intensity.

A highlight for me was V.T. Binds’ Taken By the Tanker; The Knottiverse: Alphas of the Waterworld Book 1. This thrills me because I now know another series is coming from Bonds!

You will also be presented with:
Rage by Nora Ash
War Prize if the Beast by Alison Aimes
The Unexpected Visitor by Merel Pierce
Ruled by the Omega by L.V. Lane
Lost by Hannah Haze
Mastering the Alpha byAnna Fury
under the Golden Moon by E. J. Frost
The Alpha’s Revelation by Marlowe Roy
Alpha’s Freak Show by Raevyn London
Ruin by D.E. Chapman and
His Dark Touch by Flora Quincy

Many of these authors were new to me, and provided a uniquely varied omegaverse experience.

When I started the book I was a little unsure how I was going to feel about it because it's my first foray into reading most dystopian omegaverse. I've read plenty of dystopian novels and plenty of omegaverse, just not combined.

I did receive an ARC copy of this book through Hannah Haze, but I am leaving this review voluntarily.

My favourite stories in the book were those by L.V. Lane, Hannah Haze, and V.T. Bonds. I especially liked L.V. Lane's Ruled by the Omega, as I do prefer Omegaverse books that are "why-choose". I loved that it brought Aiden, Cooper, and Rowan back together, it really made me want a longer book. I also enjoyed the sweetness of Nafia and Hensta with their sweet story of first love.

The reason I gave this 4 stars was that I found I didn't absolutely love the dystopian style in short story form. I really found that I got interested in the worlds but was disappointed as it really just felt like a side note.

I was lucky enough to be able to read this anthology arc and I loved every piece written in the anthology. I really love discovering new authors and a lot of them were new to me. Every story had their own unique thing about them that I enjoyed.

I have to say some of my favorites that I enjoyed reading about were Hannah Haze’s & LV Lanes piece. Each character that both these authors wrote about pulled in in so quickly I didn’t want to stop and was sad that they ended a little bit. I hope that they will be expanded on a little bit more cause they were sooooo good lol.

Overall, I enjoyed the pieces written. Each author has their own unique way of writing omegaverse and this dystopian was a fabulous read! If you enjoy dystopian and want more omegaverse then this anthology is for you!

I haven't gotten through all of the stories, but wanted to leave a review for one of the stories in this anthology - Under the Golden Moon by EJ Frost has a spin on the alpha/omega dynamic by having the main female character, Kieran, being raised as an alpha with all of the rights and privileges of one until she displays omega properties. On the day she meets the alpha that she will be marrying, she also meets a face from her past; someone that she met once as a child and who has never forgotten her-Morgan. Thankfully, there is no love triangle as the alpha Kieran is set to marry is knowingly pushing Kieran and Morgan together. The marriage is a strategic political maneuver in a landscape on the brink of war. The story is rich in background and world building. The characters, and their relationships are deep and really enthralling to read. The story is in no way complete, but the start of it is more than enough for me to eagerly await the rest of it.

12 Omegaverse Stories!
That’s right! From the brilliant minds of 12 authors we get a sample from each of their creative Alpha-omega world. Some can get dark but the raw beauty of each story is mesmerizing and remarkable. Each story has its own flavor and texture. I’m sure one if not many will be a favorite.

I received a complimentary copy to leave an honest review and I’m glad to have read it.

Nora Ash, Alison Aimes, Merel Pierce, L.V. Lane, V.T. Bonds, D.E. Chapman and oh so many more of my favorite Omegaverse authors are all located in this dystopian book. There are so many dark, delicious stories that are oozing with so much alpha dominance that I’m almost kneeling and submitting. These short stories were everything and so much more. Each alpha and omega’s story was unique and different bringing their own style of sexy, dark and panty fanning hotness!

If you want to escape in this Omegaverse realm, then these stories are for you.

excellent

This was a great read from a variety off authors some favourites others new to me, most I’ll be looking for their books in the future. Each story was packed with a lot of punch and I applaud the authors who put so much into their novellas and gave it a solid story with with decent endings. Well worth reading.

MEH. THIS WAS OKAY.
Again, there's a reason why I avoid novellas, and since an Omegaverse novella bundle is hard to pass up, I decided to give it a shot. Sadly, it only justifies why I avoid short stories - there's no dept to it. Add in the omegaverse genre? All we got was smut.

Alphas Rule!

Each story was complete, different and enjoyable. Each author's tale was unique in their rite. They captured their dystopian world and transported you there with each experience of the characters endured. If you like alpha men, and some alpha gals this is the read for you.
