Action Packed MC Read!!
Wow!! I think Ms. Lake threw everything at us in this one book. Talk about drama, action, surprises and revenge, Lex had it all and then some. Lex is doing time in prison for a trumped-up charge and it seems everyone is against him except for one person who he met in solitaire. Wrecker has his back and is trying to help Lex out. Lex has thought his brothers left him but soon finds out differently.
Ruthie is a young lawyer who wants to move up in the ranks so she takes on a pro bono case and she sees the kind of corruption that is in place to keep Lex down. Little does she know is that she is hitting the tip of the iceberg and so many people who are close to her are involved.
This was definitely an action-packed book that kept me on the edge of my seat. The connection between Lex and Ruthie was great as well as the connection Lex had with his daughter, Celine. The twists and turns just kept coming and the ending leaves things wide open and wondering what will happen next.

Powerful
Wow this book is powerful but I'm having a little trouble keeping up with who is who in this series but I don't mind it's keeping me on my toes for sure I just hope that they can bring these people down without loosing anyone

Lex:A Wings of Diablo MC - New Orleans Chapter book 6 by Rae B. Lake is intense, raw, emotional story full of danger, violence, angst and plenty of romance as you follow the ride or die journey between Lex and Ruthie.
This story picks up with Lex an ex prize fighter and a member of the WODMC has him finding a home and a true family with this bunch of hardass bikers whose bond is built on loyalty and trust. But Lex finds his hands has once again landed him in trouble as the Club is dealing with drama from the enemy who is trying to destroy them as well as dealing with a corrupt FBI agent, Mr. Barnes. When Lex takes out his aggression on a child abuser, he ends up in prison, by Mr. Barnes who is using his influence to take down the club. While he is in prison he is tortured and beaten with no hope of seeing his brothers or his daughter again by the guards who are on Mr. Barnes payroll. Lex forever loyal to his club is in a no win situation as Mr. Barnes taunts him that he will never leave this prison alive. When Lex meets his new cellmate, Wrecker and tells him why his is in prison, he is able to stop the abuse from the other prisoners as much as he can before he is released.
Soon things take a turn for Lex when he encounters a sassy, determined beautiful young lawyer who comes to his rescue. When she sees the condition Lex is in she does everything in her power to get him released once she proves that the man Lex beat up is no longer injured. The chemistry between these two is instantaneous from their first meeting and once they come together age will not matter to Ruthie as she wants this older handsome biker who she can tell is kind, loyal to his club and family. All it took was one kiss and these two have a night of passion leaving both of them wanting more. When the clubhouse is poisoned by drones, the club is in chaos needing to get everyone to safety, when they learn who is behind it all. Now Lex and Ruthie's relationship is off to an explosive start but their happiness maybe short lived as Ruthie is targeted by Mr. Barnes and a friend turns out to be working with the enemy placing her life in danger. Will Lex get to her in time and will he learn who he is working with? With new information obtained as to who is behind all of the chaos, in order to save his club and rescue Clay, Lex offers to make a deal with Mr. Barnes along with Toon hoping to take him down as well as the club's nemesis Rene and Rupert. This story had so many twists and turns leaving you on edge as you are taken on one hell of a roller coaster ride as secrets are revealed and someone hated by the club resurfaces and helps Lex and Toon escape. Now Lex and Toon find they are fighting to survive the transport that is sinking in the swamp but not without casualties. When Lex tries to get Clay to come with him, Clay lashes and tries to kill Lex and ends up running into the swamps. Ruthie with the love she has for Lex leashes her anger against Archer when only one tracking device is detected she with the help from the other brothers tell him that they need to rescue Lex, with the help from Wrecker he is able to bring both men home as the club learns about Bull, his son and Mr. Barnes. Now Archer and the others learn about Toon's connection to the club as well as not being able to save Clay. As Lex and Ruthie with the intense love that is between them, they are looking towards building a future together. Rae B. Lake has outdone herself with this intense emotional story that is full of intrigue and suspense as the WODMC will once again have to deal with drama headed towards them as we wait for Clay's story.

This series is starting to come together. We get to see characters from other series and learn more about each of them as they deal with the infamous Mr. Barnes and Rene. This story focuses on Lex and Ruthie. Lex is in prison for beating a man with his hands. This man was no saint, but the law was not seeing it this way as Mr Bares and Rene are behind covering this up and making it worse than it is. Lex is fighting every day for his life as just about everyone is on Mr Barnes side and will do whatever he asks. Ruthie is a new attorney who is trying to make her mark in the world and prove she is just as capable as any man. She decides to do a pro bon case and of course gets Lex.
Lex and Ruthie are drawn to each other from the beginning. When Ruthie is able to get Lex out after finding evidence that the man is just fine and not in a coma, people start coming after them. Barnes and Rene have their people looking not only for Lex, but also other members of the Wings of Diablo. Secrets come out, there are a few twists in the story and there is so much deception. Who can they trust? We do get to meet a new character, Wrecker. He turns out to be a life saver! I am looking forward to the next book to see what happens when Clay comes back into the mix.

I am still reading this book. I am 21 percent in. To be clear, this is not a review of the story, characters, etc. I have always enjoyed books from this author. I have seen, more and more, the ridiculous converted to kindle versions. I would hope any author wouldn't want their books to be reflected on them by the mistakes in the kindle version of Lex. If I had purchased this in book form, I would walk it to the publisher and demand my money back. I am going to find out why there is no quality control, or what seems like no proofreading after transferring to a kindle versions. The glaring mistakes in grammar, missing words, part of words, extra words, the wrong words, missing parts of whole sentences makes this book difficult to read. I am disappointed that books on kindle that are like this are even offered for sale. It's not just one author. I have seen it from multiple authors. I have been told by one author, they have nothing to do with books being converted to kindle, meaning the mistakes. Maybe the authors should.

Lex is imprisoned after punching someone associated with Mr. Barnes and because he was a prize fighter its a serious charge. While in prison he is targeted by both the prisoners and the guards who are on Mr. Barnes payroll. Ruthie is just out of law school and trying to make her mark in the DA's office but isn't being given the opportunities. She goes looking for a case and ends up handling Lex's case pro bono as his defense attorney. She notices somethings not quite right about the case and starts digging. She becomes the target after successfully getting Lex released, enemies emerge, friends aren't who they seem and things with the WOD's get more complicated. The second half of this story is where things finally picked up pace, lots of action and a ton of steam. Looking forward to the next in series to see what happens.

I adore this series, the characters are the type that you want at your back and in your bed. The Wings of Diablo are having trouble with their past, and now its come to take no prisoners and no names. They come together to try and take care of it, but along the way they find out that their members and families are being hunted down and taken out.
Lex has been framed and is in prison with no way out, he is resigned to his fate and is happy to do it if it means his club is safe.
Ruthie is an up and fighting attorney, who is tired of her talent being wasted on crap stuff, so she takes manners in to her own hands and takes on Lex’s case pro-bono and starts to light fires under people. The club isn’t quite sure what to make of her.
When Lex and Ruthie finally meet, the attraction is off the charts and so is Ruthies anger of the way Lex has been treated.
Long story short, they get Lex out of prison, find the people who are hunting them, and start to get the dominos in place for a take down.

loyalty
Another great addition to this series which is action packed from the get go and kicks off where the last book finished off with lex incarcerated and not having the easiest of times.
I loved how descriptive of his time in prison the book was and the struggles he faced were framed really well.
I liked Ruthie’s gumption and her loyalty to those she respected. She didn’t really blink at the MC and in fact carved out her own place amongst them.
I’m enjoying the underlying storyline though so feel that not reading the original series is handicapping me somewhat as a fair few things referred to are from earlier books.
I really liked them as a couple and even Corinne’s interactions with them were great.
Lex is loyal to the MC even tk the detriment of himself and his protective nature over not only Ruthie and Corinne but all the members was heartful.

Intense, Emotional, Raw, Heartbreaking
This book is filled with plans of revenge, intense need for justice, and the overall raw emotional journey to keep the Wings safe. The Wings are loyal men and they love hard and fight even harder. Lex has been imprisoned by Barnes and if he doesn’t protect himself he’s going to die behind bars. Ruthie is a young lawyer who knows something is off about a lot of cases and is determined to help her new client Lex. She never knew the need and desire she would feel for him and she is determined to get to the bottom of this injustice. But she also is falling hard for Lex and she will not let him sacrifice himself. The plot twists are all over the place in this book and The Wings are going up against their toughest enemy yet but as long as they stick together and fight they will hopefully succeed. This is an action packed story and you will definitely be rooting for these amazingly strong and fierce men. Happy Reading!!

Before I even started reading this book I was apprehensive I knew this book was going to be so gritty and shatter my heart for the situation that Lex finds himself in. But holly crack on a barrel I did not see any of this coming I'm just absolutely devastated at that ending, I need the next book stat.
This club really has their hands full trying to deal with all the bad guys coming at them left and right and it seems that Lex being good with his jabs is the one to try and get the club out of this mess only problem is it's a hellova lot worse than any member could imagine.
Could Lex lose Celine aswell as Ruthie after he only just found her..your going to have to read this book to find out you won't be disappointed.
Love that Joker lives up to his name and newcomer Wrecker is fighting the good fight with the Wing's.

Lex is a member of Wings of Diablo but was put into prison without a trial and is told by the FBI agent Mr. Barnes that he will never leave the jail he is harrassed day end day out mentally and physically and it is taking a toll when he fights back the last time he was in the hole for a month with no bed to rest on. Thriller suspense with an unusual storyline and the characters are fantastic but the standout is Ruthie Presley a young eager lawyer who takes Lex's case pro bono. He is shocked by how much she got done from the first time he sees her until the day his family visits. The Corruption is widespread the MCs and Ruthie are beyond believeth in how far they will go. Lex is in prison without a trial, he has been isolated from the outside, and is being targeted by the guards and the inmates. He ends up in solitary again, this time he meets Wrecker, he is the only reasons some of the inmates leave him alone once back in general population.
Ruthie is lawyer who is tired traffic ticket cases, where her friend Riley career seems to be skyrocketing. She finds out about Lex's case, it just the case that should help her make a name for herself. This is the kind of case she became a lawyer for. When she gets turned away from the prison, not being able to see her client.
There may be subjects in this book some may find triggering. This picks up where the last installment left off and it better to read the series in order.

This is the sixth book in this amazing series, and this is Lex and Ruthie’s journey. Lex hits a man who was hurting a child and finds himself in prison without a trial, and he is being kept isolated from the outside world, as well as being a target for the guards and inmates. Ruthie is a feisty lawyer, who is loyal to those she cares about, and when she hears about Lex’s case, she is determined to get him off the charges against him. This is a well written story which has intense chemistry, angst, danger, suspense, intrigue, drama, revenge, action, romance, emotions, and love, which leads to a riveting page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

The Wings of Diablo are under attack on multiple fronts that have converged. Lex is sitting in jail, assaulted and tormented regularly, with no lawyer, no visitors, and barely the minimum necessities. I like that he finally finds someone to be on his side in the jail. Ruthie is relentless when she is able to start working on Lex’s case. She is spunky and I like her. She and Alex hit it off from the start. I like that they just go with it—no trying to fight it forever. When it comes to trying to get back their own and stop the enemies, Lex and another WOD volunteer and go in blind to a world they did not anticipate. Not sure how ,any books are in the series, but it will be interesting to see what happens with Clay!.

Omg I love the Wings of Diablo MC series that Ms Lake wrote great.
The dynamics between Lex and Ruthie are beautiful, but the chemistry between them is also palpable. Ruthie has taken a pro bono case from Lex who is in prison. She tries to get him out but is opposed by Mr. Barnes who landed and remains in prison while being beaten up by fellow inmates and guards at the behest of Mr. barnes. Your attention is held from start to finish by the tension, action, drama and also by the many twists and plots and the many twists .. This series is highly recommended to read if you like this genre. Can't wait for the next part to see how it goes.

Wings of Diablo is one of my favorite MC series. Lex is the sixth book and picks up where the previous book, Shyne, ended. It was sad to see Lex go to jail, and you know what he goes through in this book, which is not pretty. Lex is dealing with the aftermath of the Barnes incident, making you hate Barnes even more. In walks Ruthie, who happens to be an up-and-coming attorney, and things start to turn around.
As with all the Wings of Diablo books, the characters are engaging and the storyline compelling. The book is a page-turner with lots of MC action, hot sex, romance, and the continued mystery of Barnes and his connection to the club's other arch-enemy. I can hardly wait for book seven!

Lex and Ruthie are off the charts HOT. Lex has been on prison for beating a man and Ruthie takes on his case Pro Bono. She is a newer lawyer and is looking for a case to help her along and she finds Lex. There is a man that has plans for Lex never to be free and is trying to take down the club, one member at a time. When Ruthie takes on Lex's case it brings down that mans rath on her as well. The Wings of Diablo MC members are going to stand up to this man because the Wings don't take problems from anybody

Ghosts of the past come back to haunt the family and Lex is in the thick of it but as they say good things come out of bad things and what Lex goes through is worth it as he gets the ultimate prize, Ruthie.

This was an okay read. It felt a little like a mash between two different books that I have already read.
I loved how ferocious Ruthie was. She was a tiny woman that stuck up for not only herself, but those she loved and cared about. She was like a bloodhound when she went searching for clues. The Lawyer in her was unmatched by another man.
Lex was a good man in a bad situation. In jail because of fighting, he is subjected to all kinds of stuff. The bright side, he met Wrecker there. Lex was living, giving, and mean when an enemy needed to be tamed.

I love the WOD. This is Alex and Ruthie’s story. Ruthie is Alex’s tenacious lawyer who became a lawyer to help people and to do the right thing. She is going to fight with everything she has to get Lex out of jail and keep him out of jail. These two have an undeniable attraction towards each other and you can just see it come off the pages. There is danger coming after all them from all sides, suspense, angst, action, drama, revenge, shocks and of course romance. You need to not pass this up. I just couldn’t put it down once I started. The story just flowed smoothly and I love all the characters. I always love seeing characters from the previous books.

I loved her MC interactions and how once they trusted her they didn't hesitate to take her under their wings and protect her.
The relationship between Lex and Ruthie I really liked as they felt so right for each other.
The series storyline continues and grows and I can't wait to see where it leads next.

This is Book 6 of Wings of Diablo - New Orleans Chapter. This story is for Lex and Ruthie. This book starts off with a lot of drama, danger, and messed up stuff for Lex. I am so proud of Lex to fight and Ruthie is one hot woman to be strong and tough too. I loved how these two meet and find love and fight for the MC Family. This book holds a lot of questions and secrets. This dangerous wild ride love story and great read. I can not wait to read the next book.

OMG what an amazing book. I couldn’t put it down I had to keep eyes on lex , his time in prison was scary with Mr Barnes control over everything but it’s nothing compared to what happens when enemies , old, new and by proxy team up to eliminate the wings …. All 3 chapters.
Then there’s shock revelations of a member and Clay….that’s hard. Seriously, I have known for long time RBL’s imagination is wild and a little twisted but Damn!!!!! Wait till you read this book wild and twisty is an understatement

This is a great series and this book did not disappoint me. Ruthie is an attorney and picks Lex to help get out of jail. He is in jail for hitting a man, and is there because someone wants to take down the club one member at a time. When Ruthie helps Lex she is now a target too. The characters are wonderful and gritty and the story kept me reading. The suspense to find out how this was going to play out. Just a wonderful story.

There was a lot of action in this one with some shocking truths coming to light. Lex's story picks up after he's been tossed in jail and the chaos doesn't stop. There were some issues not resolved yet and mention of The Boys of Djinn along with other Wings Chapter's members, that adds to the intensity of the story.

So if you haven’t been reading this series shame on you! It’s so good. I now have the worst book hangover from staying up late reading this whole book in one sitting, it was that good. So much happens not just with this books H/h but within the whole club and associated clubs. What is gonna happen next? Uuugh!.

Lex is good at fighting and is well known for it, being a member of the Wings of Diablo he also knows people are out to get him and the club but when he sucker punches a guy and puts him I'm a coma he knows he's going down, doesn't matter it was to protect a kid, just that there are enough people in the guy's pocket that they'll probably throw away the key, he just hopes the club can come to his aid.

Wow!!! Action packed from the very beginning and non stop until the very end. Lex and Ruthie are a great match. He’s older and has been through things no one should and she’s young and fighting for justice. But corruption runs so deep that it’s literally integrated everywhere they turn. The club and Lex decide that something drastic needs to be done but no one is prepared for what comes of it. I’m anxious to see what happens!!
