This is the perfect vampire tale, complete with hauntingly beautiful, grotesque illustrations, gothic elements, and for someone who loves Asian culture, especially South Korean, it's just a plus that the story unfolds there and in Shanghai. This comic only gets better and better.
The grotesque illustrations, while unsettling, possess a unique beauty that adds a layer of complexity to the overall aesthetic. The infusion of Joseon and Shanghai settings enhances the narrative, offering a rich cultural backdrop that adds depth to the story.
A beautiful story with a truly unique artstyle. Delusion Volume 2 takes you on a trip to the past, learning more about K and about the major turning point in Jeonghwa's life. Delusion is slotted into Webtoon's Thriller genre, and this volume is where it truly shows. The infiltration into K's banquet was suspenseful and horrific, I felt extremely sad for Jeonghwa's situation by this point in the story, and yet it continues to become more and more heartbreaking.
The backstory of the mysterious woman is revealed and our main character learns disturbing details that may put his life in perilous danger. Gorier that the first volume, the story become richer as more characters are added to the author’s quiver. There are multiple timelines to keep track of as we bounce between one character’s origin story and the present.
So, what I assume has happened is that her father hasn't died and she wants to kill him, but it is complicated, because his blood is still in her and he can do the entire blood thing. I do, however, feel that we got rid of Jinren very suddenly. Also, it is kinda funny how often we just get silhouettes, because the artist was pressed for time.
