I really enjoyed this book. It looked at James II, William and Mary and Anne in 1688 as William and Mary "liberated" the country from James II. It was really interesting, and I really liked the writing style. It could get a little bit dry at times, and when I stopped reading, I did struggle to get back into it, but the book itself was rally interesting. I personally would have liked it if there had been more information about Mary and a bit more of the impact after the Revolution, which was only covered for one chapter.
This was a very detailed family account of a change in government considerably less violent than most. The results permanently changed the structure of the British monarchy. I enjoyed reading the opinions of the female members of the family on how the government should be shared.
