Matteo goes undercover, pretending to be married to a dignitary's daughter, never expecting the charade to get personal. But it does, just as HERO Force finds the link between the woman and their strongest enemy to-date.

Finally finished this one. It was a stop and start for me. Good action, and an interesting story, but the romance was pretty rushed for me to sink my teeth into. Hence the stopping and starting.
3.5 Stars This is book 4 in the HERO Force series and it features Matteo Cruz and Grace Vasile. Their marriage was legal but it was not born out of love. I guess it would be hard to spend EVERY day with someone, especially someone who looked and behaved like the SEAL he was, and not develop feelings for him.
The characters were great. The scene in the hotel between Matteo and Grace was a total turn OFF for me. It lasted too long and was taken to a whole other level. There was no real SEAL-type action in this story, which was a little disappointing. All the action at the end was a little confusing. This is not my favorite book in the series but it was still a good read. After the ending, I'm definitely looking forward to book 5.
This was a short fake marriage romance set in the fictitious Republic of Lutsia or something like that, where the daughter of the president had a child out of wedlock and her father was running for another term against this other candidate who was allied with Russia ( whatever) and if the fact that she had a child without being married went out, it would be bad for the father so Matteo of HERO force comes in to marry her as well as protect her and her baby.
Honestly the story was okay, overall worth a 3 🌟 but the smut and the tension was 4 🌶 so good.
Having grown up on the streets before becoming a Navy SEAL, the very last thing Matteo Cruz thought would be required of him in the line of duty, was to marry the daughter of the President of a small nation. He is happy to be a fake husband, but when confronted with a priest, marriage vows and a wedding ring, Matteo's heart comes to a standstill. In his book you don't mess with the Church, a priest and marriage vows are sacred. Even in his world. Yet here he is. Married to a beautiful woman with a son. Keeping Grace safe turns out to be a lot harder than Matteo would have anticipated but with the threat of annihilation hanging over Grace and Nico, Matteo discovers that his teammates have anticipated his need. The tension between Grace and Matteo is pretty intense and when under duress it explodes. However much Matteo wishes to keep his distance, he finally comes to the realisation that Grace is the woman for him, that is if he can keep her alive long enough to make it a reality. The plot is fast-paced and kept me turning the pages. I really do like Matteo and his respectful treatment of both Grace and Nico touched me. The novel is a standalone and comes to a good conclusion. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Matteo Cruz has been hired to be the husband of President Vasile's daughter. Matteo knew what he was getting into by doing this mission but marriage is a final concept in his life. Once done there's no turning back for Matteo. Grace Vasile can't believe she's about to get married because she had a child out of wedlock. Grace thought she'd marry the baby's father and have a life together. Yet none of that has happened. Grace feels lost and alone in this new reality. Someone will do everything in their power to prevent President Vasile's re-election campaign including kidnapping his grandson Nico. Who wants President Vasile gone? Why kidnap Nico? Your answers await you in Married to the SEAL.
I love the direction this series is taking! I love that not everything is black or white but many shades of gray. The characters and story are rich, complicated, bold, honest, mysterious, complex, raw, real, passionate, and flawed too. I look forward to my next adventure in this series.
This is my second book by this author and I was happy to find this book was even better than the last one. The story line is that Matteo from H.E.R.O. Force is sent to marry and protect the daughter of a foreign president who is in the race of his life to be re-elected and save his countrymen from a dangerous man. Grace turns out to be the woman who changes his mind about being the "player" he has a reputation of being. He thought their "marriage" would be a paper technicality but then it turns out they are actually really married in the eyes of the Catholic church which for Matteo means there is a line he can't cross if he wants to get an annulment once this is all over. Somewhere during the "fake marriage" he decides that he wants it to be real but he isn't sure how Grace feels. This is a good book and a great storyline as I was kept on the edge of my seat while they defy death time and time again and struggle to find out whether they will get their HEA.
There is nothing more appealing than a man with a baby. This episode in the Hero Force series has Matteo going under cover, and has to marry Grace, President Vasille' s daughter. He never saw himself marrying except for love, and now with a wife and a baby, he is trying to come to terms with his new role while keeping her and the baby safe. What Grace and Matteo do not expect is the change in their feelings as the dynamic of their lives change. With some unexpected twists and turns, we get great suspense surrounding Grace and her baby, and the Hero Force coming in and leaving us with a surprise at the end setting us up for book 5.
Janelle Tedesco continues her amazing narration, breathing life into the characters, giving us the alpha male protectiveness and the strong, determined heroine. I am loving the team of Gamet and Tedesco and can't wait to see where they lead us next!
This one was just as short but it held a punch that held me and still gave me what I was wanting.
Matteo does undercover work pretending to be married. He never imagined that he would love the work so much. This dignitary's daughter was way more than he could imagined to desire in a woman that would be his forever. Grace gave a good performance. She was the lure to gain leverage. She was being used on multiple side. This one leads us further in to the H.E.R.O. Forces sub-plots . . .
I went in to this knowing that it would be quick and exhilarating.
A baby out of wedlock, a fake marriage to someone who isn't the baby's father and terrorists throughout her country. Grace has had more than enough and yet, her father finds fault in everything she does.
Matteo has no problem protecting Grace and her son. He does, however, have a problem with having sexual relations, as for him, that will seal their marriage permanently.
As the terrorists continue to attack, Matteo finds himself inexplicably falling in love with Grace. Is it real or just because of proximity?~
I received a free book and voluntarily chose to review it. I look for strong women in the books I read and Grace is a very strong woman. She is marrying a former SEAL for her country. This is mostly suspense and a little romance. It’s one of those books that I keep reading until I finish it, A very good book.
Really enjoyed Matteo's story! I loved how very protective he was of her and the baby through out the entire story. The relationship between these men grasps at your senibilities. I look forward to Logan's story. The only thing I would like more is for these stories to be late longer. I believe readers would be more fulfilled.
I like this book a lot. Honestly what is not love? Romance and action adventure. I only had one small problem at the end I seemed have missed the part where the heroine got saved. Suddenly she was safe and it was all over
Right from the start of this book we get into some action as Mason Petrovich sets a literal bomb and a metaphorical one all aimed at President Vasile and his daughter Grace. He has a very personal interest in the metaphorical bomb, he is the father of Grace's son.
Vasile can't desert his people and drop from the presidential race like the opposition wants. He's trying hard to protect his daughter, he and one of the ways he's going to do that is to have an American Navy SEAL be the one to do it. The people can't know Grace's son Nico is illegitimate, when faced with marrying the SEAL or the father of her child, Grace would have married the father in a heartbeat, but she doesn't know where he is or if he's even alive, so the SEAL it is.
It's planned to be a marriage of inconvenience for Grace. Three months and then divorce. It wouldn't just be a pretense either, it would be an actual wedding. Something they just might have forgotten to mention to said SEAL.
Matteo Cruz arrives in the Republic of Lutsia to the news of the pedestrian bridge being bombed with many casualties. The president's security advisor General Talia is the one who meets him at the airport. Matteo's job is to protect the president's daughter Grace by pretending to be married to her, at least that's what he's been told. There's now more to it since the mansion was broken into and a note placed in the Grace's son Nico's room.
There wouldn't be much time between his arrival and the wedding. In fact, no time at all. Then a reception that Grace's father hadn't mentioned to her at all. One that began with another bombing at a populated venue, the explosion set off by a phone call from the President's mansion where guests had already arrived.
Matteo also learns at the party that Vasile's study had also been broken into and a note left. He was not happy with the contents of the letter or the fact he'd been left out of the loop, again. Another surprise came his way when confronting Vasile, the man is sick and likely won't live long enough to be president.
Sharing the room with Grace wasn't going to be easy, especially knowing the father of her child had led her on and had just left her while going on with his life. There's definitely attraction but any action would make their marriage permanent in the eyes of the church.
Matteo admires Grace as a mother and when Nico is fussy and not calming while she loses sleep and becomes frustrated not knowing what is wrong or how to sooth the child. He offers her a respite, taking Nico so she can relax for a bit.
In the meantime, HERO force is looking into the parentage of the child, and we the readers are not surprised by what they find. There's more to it that appears though, and they need to work through all of it.
There's plenty of action and surprises throughout this book. I love the slow burn romance between Matteo and Grace. There's also Nico who seems to wrap Matteo around his fingers. Plus, a relationship with her father that Grace truly wishes to mend.
I think this story is my favorite of the series so far.

Romance trope: fake relationship Series: H.E.R.O. Force Length: 210 pages
Plot: Matteo has been hired by the president of a small country in turmoil. His daughter has come back from a vacation with a baby and there are terrorist attacks that have her son at the center of them. Matteo will go undercover - as her husband. But they have to really marry, not just pretend, in order for him to protect her. How long will it take for them to see that maybe it's not a bad idea after all?
Commentary: Well that was quick! I was really confused about Grace and how she fell for the bad guy so thoroughly, but I guess a trained operative could trick her, especially since he seemed to be her first real relationship. Thank goodness Matteo was able to set her straight. I love the way he fell for her son more than anything. But that household didn't seem to do background checks on anyone - seems like a lot of people dropped the ball there!
HERO operative Matteo Cruz took the assignment to act as pretend husband to presidential daughter, Grace Vasile. As an unwed mother to a six week old, Grace’s status is more fuel to the attack on her father’s re-election campaign by an ‘anti-HERO’ team who’s repertoire of manipulation, smears, threats, terrorism and killing innocents r promises Russian rule for the tiny country.
Grace’s strained relationship with her dad is worsened by not naming her son’s father, she’s convinced something happened to keep him away. Strong attraction sparks when Grace and Matteo meet before the ceremony but they agree to avoid sex and seek annulment when the danger’s passed. But with a pull so strong, that may be a challenge neither can overcome.
It takes Matteo no time at all to realize his situation, he’s working alone, on foreign soil, a tempting woman with an infant dependent on him, in an unsecure location with no one to trust as the president neglects to relate how far things have gone. Certain a mole exists in the palace Matteo’s spread thin and really needs the team’s help! Rating: 4.5stars
Matteo and Grace, two strong characters who have never met but are now married for the sake of a countrys stability. Odd premise, but a fascinating beginning to a story with romance, international intrigue, terrorism, friendship and politics. Great blend of action and chemistry with a dash of family dynamics that bring the story full circle. The story and ending is predictable, but enjoyable. The cliffhanger for the series is intriguing and has me ready to see what was in the folder Cowboy and Jax got!
4 Stars I purchased a copy of the steamy postmilitary suspense romance Married to the Seal in the Hero Force Boxset Books 1-8 by Amy Gamet, and this review was given freely. Full of violence, this is a drama-packed novel of terrorism, love, and patriotism.
Hired by the President of the Republic of Lutsia to improve his daughter, single mother Grace Vasile’s image for his campaign, Matteo finds himself in a country with mass casualty events and almost losing the family he has begun to love. 18+ for intimate scenes, violence.
The unwed daughter of a President, a fake marriage, terrorist attacks, strained relation between father and daughter. Matteo has 3 objectives Marry the Princess, protect her and the baby, find out who is threatening them, stop them and Not fall in love with her. Read and find out how he did on this mission.
Another great read for an amazing series of always hot alpha navy seals. It is a very interesting storyline. Love the friendship that develops between Matteo and Grace. I love that they become a family. A very suspenseful storyline that could have been very depressing and sad. Can't wait for the next installment of HERO Force series.
This one really had me on the edge of my seat! But I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved this authors books, while sometimes you can see things coming, sometimes loops are thrown that make & keep it interesting!
I loved the book from the first word to the last. I will give it the highest rating possible for this book and the series. Well done. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
The books in this series are getting more and more predictable. The endings climax and resolutions are too short but if you want a short, easy story then the characters at least are a little interesting.
