Probably the best of the series so far. The introduction of is probably the most hilarious application of the “Worf Effect” that I’ve ever seen. I will say the story of Weis and Hickman arguing over is well documented by now and I agree they should have been allowed to deviate from the adventure modules more to end it in another way, but overall this one happily lacked the clumsy pacing of the second volume and the excessive grimness of the third and fourth.

It's okay. Same problems as all the other books in the series, and for the first time, I feel myself losing a bit of interest in finishing the story. With that said, I'm almost done, so I'll power through!

This was another great book in the Dragonlance Chronicles. I love how the author really understands how to write from both the protagonist and antagonist point of views and not give away the story.

A thin story but an enjoyable read for those interested in Dragonlance history.
