This was my first time listening to an audio book in Japanese without reading along with the book and it was actually good! (Probably helped the subject was simple and the book was short.)
I think this has a lot of good advice for improving conversations with Japanese people. There was some advice I didn't agree with (like sucking up to your boss lol) but most of it was useful and presented in a clear way. I liked how each segment was short. The author made his point then moved on.
A tip point book about small talk. There must be a lot of small talk textbook in Japan bookstores. It must be a social struggle for a lot of Japanese. There are some points which are good point for general conversation. In this book, generally, try to make the talking go without interrupt, smile and agree, mood over content.
Almost perfect, but it might fall into the technical knowledge of conversation, not "with your heart". Naturally these techniques will come out when speaking from your heart. And if you do the technique first, I can hear and see how it's coming out -from a thoughtful mind or something else.
Interesting read with some useful techniques to start or continue a conversation. Not all tips can be applied across different cultures though. A light and easy read.
