As good a book as any for a true beginner. The "no patterns" thing is accomplished by using only squares and shapes easily cut from squares. I didn't find any of the patterns that interesting or felt like "oooo, I need to make that!" but these are really more about building skills than usefulness/beauty.

Great book for a beginner who doesn't want to figure out patterns.

I have watched her YouTube videos as well -she is very thorough in her explanations and examples. This was a nice supplement to her videos. She had examples for hair scrunches, Kleenex holders, organizers, etc. All smaller projects to help encourage a new sewist or one who needs a few quick sews. Colorful pictures with step by step directions.

I love patternless sewing and often alter sewing patterns on the fly so this book is perfect for me. There are lots of small projects here that would be great for a beginner but also good for a more experienced sewist. You can really use up those scraps you accumulate. Nothing here wanted me to pull out my sewing machine immediately, but it did inspire.

Why would you want to sew a cover for a small pack of tissues? That’s something that feels quite unhygienic to me.

Good instructions. Good pics/tutorials. Just not my style.
