SHORT READ - CAN BE READ IN NO TIME AT ALL DURING YOUR BUSY DAY!
Wrong Place - Wrong Time
Mabel and her ghostly friend Irma have made it to the Rockies!
When Mabel Gold got to be 60-something she assumed her life would revolve around doing a lot of baking and entertaining grandchildren. NOPE. Turns out she is on the road with friends Lili and Bob—RVers—and trying to figure out what the fondue happened after her Ex lost his marbles and fell for Tiffanie with her store-bought boobs.
Her five kids thought she’d lost it when Mabel bought a vintage Airstream camper and a snazzy F-150 truck and announced she was joining a caravan for a cross-country adventure from Florida to the Wild Wild West. Of course, Mabel had no idea that the camper came with Irma—a ghost, a specter, a spirit—whatever you want to call the former showgirl. Seems Irma’s only way out of purgatory is to chalk up some good deeds. And it turns out solving a murder counts big time. Soon Mabel finds herself mixed up with murders at every stop along the Savannah, Nashville and the Badlands. That’s enough. As Mabel pulled into the campground in the Rockies, she made a decision. No more murders. Just quiet time sightseeing and hiking. Oh, and taking selfies. Until her best friend, Lili, gets arrested for murder. Turns out Lili was in the wrong place at the wrong time. But how to prove it? This time it looks like Mabel will have to ask Irma for help in solving a murder. Hopefully, these two golden girl sleuths will save Lili and give Irma the good deed she needs to get out of purgatory and out of Mabel’s camper. Or will she? Buckle up and come along for the ride. Hope you like camping!

Rita Moreau is the author of the Mary Catherine Mahoney cozy mystery series and the Ghost & Camper kooky mystery series.
A workaholic by nature, upon retirement, Rita began work on her bucket list, writing a book. Traveling the national parks with her husband George in a vintage Bluebird motor home, (on George’s list), Rita completed her first novel Bribing Saint Anthony in the Mary Catherine Mahoney cozy mystery series. Back home she kept going and completed 5 more in the series. During the year we entered the twilight zone Rita completed the first two books in the Ghost & Camper kooky mystery series and kept going and completed 2 more in the series. Rita lives in wacky Florida where her dear husband George always had fun telling folks he's the author’s husband. Rita lost the love of her life after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer. She misses him every minute but promised him she would continue writing so he could tell everyone he meets in heaven that he's the author's husband. When not writing she joins PatZi Gil on the Joy on Paper radio program with Book Buzz Mysteries or you can find her teaching Silver Sneakers fitness classes. She loves connecting with readers. I really enjoyed this fourth adventure of the sleuthing senior campers. They are kicked back and having fun in the Colorado Rockies on this trip. They meet new people, Lili gets arrested for murder, more ghosts show up, and reading the fast-moving plot is a delight! I highly recommend this cozy, and the entire Ghost & Camper Kooky Mystery series!
I fell in "book love" with these characters from book one. Mabel and her team, find that gambling brings strange folks to the table. When one of the Blackjack players at Lili 's table is murdered, not only is she accused of the crime but finds herself at the mercy of the good and bad guys. No worries, Mabel and Irma have her back!
Mabel, a member of a sightseeing "caravan" and her friendly ghost Irma and Mabel's best friend Lili, have their work cut out for them. One thing, of the many, that I enjoy about this series is how each book introduces more characters, alive or ghosts, to the adventure. The mystery fits together perfectly and the addition of more characters makes the book so much fun. We've met several of Mabel's children and Irma's ghostly friends. Each one adds another layer to the mysteries. I can't wait to meet Margaret, on a trip!
If you're looking for a great mystery, humor, friendship and regular folks doing extraordinary sleuthing, you've found your series!
I just finished book #4 in the series of The Ghost & Camper kooky Mystery books. Starting with #1 to #4 they are just so much fun to read. I love each of the characters especially the GHOSTS. It keeps you wondering and enjoying each chapter. Each book is set in a different location in the USA. With that you get background information about the locations as well as a great story . Can’t wait for #5.
I will not take stars away for the bad spelling nor the bad grammar ( the books were to good) I read all four books and loved them all!! But you really do need someone to proof both the spelling and the grammar. I've looked into some of your other books and they look like they will be "A hoot" to read. Thank you for sharing your talents with those of us who only wish we had this ability... THANKS AGAIN 🐼🌈🌹
A wonderful adventure with Mabel, Lili, and of course Irma. Then there's always a guest ghost that Irma invites along to add to the excitement. Happy to see Peggy and Josh moving out of the empty nest boredom and have some fun. I enjoyed it for the most part, although the ending seemed a little abrupt like Rita had something else to do. Lol
A Trip in their airstream to the Blackhills then drove to Estes Park in Colorado. Lily was arrested there. Harry was killed and they accused her. There was family that visited Mabel. There was Cartel, and Mobs involved. Another mystery was going on before the trip and who killed Ted? It was a fun book funny too. Serious as well
The senior campers have another's mystery to solve. This one involves the FBI and US Marshall's. Lilli is accused of murder, Bianca is pregnant and Irma is trying to help her ghost friend Ted. Enjoy!
Since this story is under 200 pages it was a quick read. Like the previous book, I have also been to the places in this book. Brings back good memories. Anxious for the next book in this series to be released. I've never been to the Grand Canyon.
Mabel and her ghostly friends are interesting. The fact that her family life is interspersed throughout helps to make it a character driven book as you learn more about her and her children with each book + karma hitting the ex hubby
This was a quick easy read. My only issue with it was the wrap up itself occurred too quickly, it didn't seem to flow as well with the rest of the storyline. Overall a cute story. Thanks for my gifted copy.
I love the characters and each of the settings they visit. Great meeting Bianca and I felt Trixie would have been an excellent travel companion for Mabel and Irma. But this book felt short for some reason. All of a sudden it ended and I didn't feel there was all the action from the previous books. Looking forward to their next stop.
