cuteness overload. also, the asexual rep was so good omg!! the acceptance made my heart melt. and it was giving me all the warm and fuzzies. i loved evan, but i totally had a soft spot for barty - fine, honestly i found both of them too adorable, they were cutie-pies. 🥺👉👈✨

Evan breaks away, whispering, ❝shouldn't have done that,❞ as he begins to pepper soft kisses over Barty's cheeks, then his forehead, and he even kisses the end of Barty's nose and each shut eyelid. For all that Evan apparently shouldn't have done that, he's sure doing it again, all over Barty's face like he can't stop himself, and Barty is not complaining in the least.

I don't always have my facts straights, but I think Barty invented flirting!
It's actually embarrassing how many quotes I highlighted for a book that is only 124 pages. To not further embarrass myself I will now only share a few, but know that I'm mildly disappointed in myself for not sharing the full list. However, that would just be giving it all away, so if you are in the least bit intrigued by the quotes of this fic, go read it! Intermission had me searching for more Barty & Evan fics (they barely exist sadly), and this was the first time I have ever read one dedicated to just them.

I'm not saying that everyone should read it just because it's a good book I'm saying everyone should read it because it is so beautifully written and so well written and accurate and heart-wrenching and all too fucking familiar. (this person talking is asexual by the way and it is insanely accurate.)

this is clearly all headcannons cuz we barely know anything about them but our beloved author zeppazariel did an amazing work as always :)
i was so happy to see asexual representation because it’s way too missing in most books
honestly it was the first book/ff that i’ve read with an asexual character in it so that’s why i think everyone should read this (even tho it implies reading just lovers first which is veeeery long)

przede wszystkim obaj sa dla mnie wyjatkowo istotni na poziomie osobistym, mogloby sie wydawac, ze sa swoimi przeciwienstwami (co swoja droga tez sie zmienilo o 180°, bo na poczatku w just lovers nie potrafilam ich rozroznic xd), a jednoczesnie tak do siebie pasuja i tak bardzo utozsamiam sie z obojgiem jednoczesnie

Never thought I’d be out here shipping Evan and Barty but here I am!!! So incredibly amazing!!! The ace rep was beautiful and the Rosekiller relationship was so good!! Loved Regulus being the mildly unhelpful friend during Rosekiller’s angst lol.

i thought i loved jegulus but WHY DID I OVERLOOK EVAN AND BARTY I LOVE THESE. this was short and sweet but so fucking good like goddamn zeppazariel is a gift from the universe. they're entire interaction was so sweet and their fake flirting was hilarious. Background jegulus was perfectly written EVERYTHING WAS JUST *CHEF'S KISS*. i have not read just lovers YET, but even without having read that this was absolutely magnificent.
*shoutout to patri for introducing me to zeppazariel(and atyd) THANK YOU I NEVER KNEW I NEEDED THIS, even though 'this' is mainly pain we learn to ignore but thanks anyway.

Zvlášť když jsem tenhle kus umění přečetla za posledního půl roku nejmíň pětkrát a zvýraznila si v něm pomalu každý druhý odstavec. Až nějaká knížka dokáže to, co tahle fanfikce, dejte mi vědět. Ale to budou dřív prasata lítat...
