Against her will, Corrie Ballantyne is drawn to the tall, dark, and handsome apparition of a hotel owner and finds herself in the middle of a great hotel's secrets and an ancient feud. Original.
Kathy Lynn Emerson began writing as a child: a newspaper for her dolls and then a rambling adventure series featuring characters from all her favorite television shows. In addition to contemporary, historical and time-travel romance (some written under the pen-name of Kaitlyn Gorton) and historical novels written as Kate Emerson, Kathy has written children's books, non-fiction, short stories, and historical mysteries. She won the Agatha award for mystery nonfiction for How to Write Killer Historical Mysteries. She also writes as Kaitlyn Dunnett.
Okay, yes. I wrote this one under another name. But I haven't read it since 1997 and I honestly think it holds up pretty well. I'm rereading a couple of my Loveswept romance/romantic suspense novels right now because I'm thinking of using the setting for a new cozy mystery proposal. A few characters might also reappear, although they'll be almost twenty-five years older if they do!
From the moment she sets eyes on him Corrie Ballantyne is irresistibly attracted to Lucas Sinclair; and vice versa. But neither is looking for a holiday romance. And when Corrie begins seeing the ghost of one of Lucas's ancestors, he really doesn't know what to think anymore! Can Corrie solve the mystery before it is too late? And will she and Lucas find happiness together? These questions will be answered in this marvelously imaginative romance by one of my favorite authors.
Disclaimer: I received this book as a gift from the author, but that in no way influenced my opinion.
