I found this book to be invaluable and would recommend it for anyone who's interested in grappling arts generally (whether judo or not) or even the science of human movement. --Bernie Gourley blog

This was a unique book for me so I didn't really know what to expect but was delighted to read and understand these difficult moves better. It certainly did give me an appreciation for just in a different manner. Maybe for how even harder the techniques are. Had to fully focus to understand the physics behind it. I think there were plenty of diagrams that weren't the best quality but acceptable. The book did take a while to get to the practical stuff but isnt that just the most judo thing, right?!
I did get some very helpful tips which I was really looking for. Unfortunately the book didn't include all throws. Including uchi mata which I thought was standard. It wasn't an encyclopedia of moves but more of an understanding of the physics alone.
