BEASTS OF THE CASTLE I once cursed three men to become monsters. Now I need them to save our world... and they want revenge.
My name is Belle, champion of Fantasia, and I've made a terrible mistake.
Sixteen years ago, I condemned three of Kronos' soldiers to live as beasts, trapped within the walls of Castle Chimera for eternity. I thought I was delivering justice. I never imagined I would one day be on my knees before them, begging for their help.
But Kronos has returned, more powerful than ever. His time-loop has sealed off Delerood, trapping my soldiers outside and leaving our people defenseless. The only way to break his spell is with the help of those who once served him—the very monsters I created.
Alder, with his massive form and claws that could tear me apart... yet when he touches me, it's with a roughness that makes my body betray my mind.
Beacon, whose bitter words cut deeper than any blade, his hatred of me burning as fiercely as the embers in his supernatural eyes.
And Horatius, whose secrets I've only begun to unravel, whose quiet intensity draws me in despite the danger.
They have every reason to destroy me. Sixteen years of isolation. Sixteen years trapped in bodies they despise. Sixteen years to nurture their rage.
Instead, they offer me a devil's bargain: they'll help defeat Kronos if I submit to their revenge—in whatever form they desire.
As the boundaries between captor and captive blur, and loathing gives way to a heat none of us expected, I begin to wonder if my curse was actually their salvation... or if their monstrous forms merely reveal the beasts that always lurked within.
But with Fantasia's fate hanging in the balance, I'll surrender everything—my pride, my body, perhaps even my heart—to the monsters I made.
The story arc spans multiple books, but each one features a new princess (in reading order): Snow White, Goldilocks, The Little Mermaid, Rose Red, Sleeping Beauty, Tinkerbell, Cinderella, Little Bo-Peep, Belle, & Red Riding Hood
This series includes: Dragon shifters, Bear shifters, Captain Hook & Peter Pan, Vampires, Monsters and Hellhounds (just to name a few!)
PLEASE NOTE: These books are meant to be read in order, although each story features a different princess, their stories are all tied together so it's best to read them in order.
Belle is forced to retreat after Kronos takes control of her town . She is determined to get back and defeat Kronos but she has to go back and fix what she has done sixteen years earlier and face the three men she turned into monsters and ask or I should plead for them to not kill her and help her with Kronos . Things are more then what they seem and when they are together they are a force to be reckoned with . Will they be able fight their feelings to fight their enemy . They will be together or will the lies and the history keep them apart . Belle is one of those characters that is strong but also scared of what can happen if she can't stop Kronos. She is feisty and actually very loving. Aiden' is well he is the alpha and he is storing up a lot of anger up for Belle . He is brooding and an over thinker . Beacon is hiding a bitterness for Belle but he is also sensitive and is a great soldier . Horatius is hiding a secret that could get them into the town and through the time loop. He is a sweet heart that is ready at the drop of a hat to fight the enemy. They are such fun characters that are well written anc complex. This is book nine in the series and the author keeps it a fun read . This is a great twist on the Beauty and the Beast story , with Belle being a sorceress and the beast are actually three men . The author has created such a grand world where there is good and the bad that is coming to a big stand off for the world of Neverland . I read this book in a evening once I started I couldn't put it down until I found out what was going to happen. Each story builds on the one before to add up to the final battle . I was on the edge of me seat through out and there are some sexy times that go on through out . So if you want a fun series check it out .
In this story, Belle Tenebris is a strong Sorceress, and fought in the first great War against Morningstar, when only twenty year old. Fighting with the Guild, she helps to imprison him.
The book starts with a small group of fighters, led by an older, and now a far more experienced, Belle, hastening away from a battle in Delorood, which has been taken by Kronos and Vita, two of Morningstar's Generals.
When Belle realises that she needs to gather more information on the enemy, she remembers three of Morningstar's fighters, whom she'd changed into monsters, and left sealed in Castle Chimaera, unable to escape her wards, towards the end of that first War, now sixteen years ago.
Belle knows that, if she wants the help of the three, she will need to make amends to Prince Alder, a Chimera. Horatius, an Ogre, and Beacon, a Cyclops.
What their bargains are, and what happens next, brings chapter after chapter of plotting, and some rather risky escapades between the four, that delivers, yet again, an absorbing storyline, with enough madness, mayhem, and physical manipulations, to please any reader.
The final book of the series: Book Ten, is 'Blaze', who appears in Belle's story, fighting some Hellhounds, that Alder helps her with.
I want to go find out more of Blaze's story, so I'll catch you on the flip side, where I'll let you know what I think of the ending of this series.
I admit my favorite is still book one of may be Goldie but this one is up there... I am always a sucker for a Beauty and the beast retelling even a dark one. I cannot believe we are almost to the the end of the series
A great story! I would recommend you read the books in order so that you can understand the underlying story and the names of the other characters when referenced. This book does not disappoint in action or smut. I like the story of Belle because previously I didn't like her and upon getting immersed in her story, I changed my mind. I'm so excited to read the next one but also a bit apprehensive as I know that will be the end of the series. You better believe I'm checking out more of this author's works.
My FAVORITE Happily Never After installment to date!
Belle's story had everything I look for in a RH. She is a fierce heroine...with just the right amount of softness. Her men are rough, angry beasts...yum right?!
Belle...the "witch hag"... despised by the three men she cursed. She goes to them for help and atonement and receives so much more. One more story to go and this amazing story will be at an end. The war awaits!
Another good book for this series! I enjoyed Belle, she was a fierce character. I only had a bit of a hang up with one of the sexual encounters that rubbed me the wrong way. Other than that, an over all good book.
