This is the seventh or second book depending on the series. Books 7/2 and 8/3 take place at the same time on the time line. So be prepared for that. Hunter has wanted Grier for a while now. He thought she was prickly at first because of being in a new place but that doesn’t seem to change. When he over hears she may start a dating profile he is done waiting. He takes her from work and brings her to his place. Can he figure out why she keeps him at length when she clearly wants him the way he wants her? This is a Daddy/lg books. So if that is something you don’t like you may want to skip this book. Grier has her reasons for holding back with Hunter. To her they make sense and even to me but what she doesn’t realize is that she isn’t her mother. She has the power to be different from her mother. Can Hunter help her see that? This book was a great read. I feel for Grier. The desire to not be like someone and fall into the same trap is powerful and holding her back from truly being happy. Congrats on another great book Shaw.

WOW!! I couldn't put this one down. I absolutely love it!! This was a nice quick, short read.
Hunter meets Grier when she came into town a few months ago, he know she was his, he's been scaring all the other men away. Hunter goes into the salon she work at everyday for a trim and style, so that he can check on her. He sits outside the salon and watches her, making sure nothing happens to her. When he goes in for his usual, Grier is talking to her co-workers about going on a dating app. When she goes to leave that day Hunter is waiting for her, when she goes out the door he grabs her and puts her in his truck. They head to his cabin, she tries to escape but he tells her he'll catch her. He takes her right intones bedroom, he tells her that she's found her man, there won't be anyone else. He informs her they are going on a date, he's going to cook for her. He sits her at the counter when she looks at the door he tells her not to even think about it. Grier asks him if he needs any help and he tells her no. Grier puts her hands all over Hunter, and he knows she is testing him, and he's not failing he can tell by the look in her eyes. He walks a plate of food to the table then picks her up and sets her in his lap and feeds her, she tells him she can feed herself. Hunter tells her he wants to do it for her. Grier spends the night after they watch a movie and she falls asleep on the couch, he carries her to his bed. When she wakes the next morning she realizes she's going to be late for work, until Hunter shows her the clothes he picked for her in his closet. He gives her her breakfast and then carries her to his truck to take her to work. After work Hunter picks her up and they head on their second date to a restaurant that Grier loves. As they eat Grier realizes she doesn't know a lot about him so she asks him questions They head to the drive in after they eaten, when they start talking about her mom Hunter can sees she's upset. He rubs her sides and finds a tickle spot and begins to tickle her. When he stops, she tells him she's always wanted to make out in the back seat. They start making out, until Grier tells him to take her home. Grier strips her clothes off and lays on the bed while Hunter takes his off. He pleasures her then they get physical, he soon realizes she is a virgin. Grier wakes up the next morning sore, but she gets a text from Anise asking if she's coming over to help paint. Grier tells Hunter she needs to go, but he insist she take a bath first. Hunter grabs some pain medicine for her and gets her breakfast ready. When he drops her off at Anise's home he tells her to call him when she is done so he can pick her up. Grier and Anise talk about the men in their lives while they finish up painting. They are all finished when Grier's phone rings when she answers it it's her mom, she upset because her latest boyfriend left her once again, Grier always promised herself she would never turn out like her mother, depended on a man. Grier realizes that that is exactly what she is doing, so she takes off. Hunter comes back to pick her up but finds that she is gone, he looks all over town for her. When Whit texts him that she's at her apartment he heads there. He knocks on her door but she doesn't answer, so he kicks the door down. He finds her laying on her bed crying, he asks her what's wrong. When she finally stops crying she tells him about her mom calling. Hunter asks her why she's crying about that. Grier tells him that she thought about them, they got so close so fast. Hunter tells her they are nothing like her mom and boyfriends. He tells her he is her man and he's never leaving her. He tells her this is forever, he tells her he loves her and she tells him she loves him. Hunter informs her they are getting married on Saturday and she tells him most people asks. He tells her they are most people beside he doesn't want to give her a chance to say no. One year later, they did get married on Saturday and then went to Hawaii for their honeymoon. They are expecting their son any day now and are anxiously waiting. Grier has a contraction and Hunter rushes her to the hospital. Cute story w/ a bossy (but hot!) MMC

Second, the story was cute. The MMC has been patiently trying to woo the FMC and having her cut his hair every day at her salon to spend time with her. He’s bossy & goes full-throttle when he seriously wants something, so he’s done being patient when she said she was going to sign up for a dating app.
She’s got a lot of internal drama going on coloring the lens in which she sees things and impacts her perception of MMC.
I would have loved a little more story in the middle of them figuring things out together and then after they do. I’d love to know a bit more about the MMC & FMC & what makes them tick. In the end, there’s a cute HEA so they work it out 😉.

This is book number 2 of the Fallen Peak: Military Heroes series and focuses on Hunter and Grier. Hunter knew from the first moment he saw Grier that she was the one for him but he has had to try to win her over slowly since she is fighting their connection. Grier is hesitant about dating because of how her mom treated relationships while she was growing up. She has never wanted to be dependent on a man and is determined to make it on her own. All Hunter wants to do is love and take care of his woman and he is done waiting. He is ready to claim his woman once and for all. Hunter doesn’t let anything stand in the way of their forever, even Grier. This was a great story and a great addition to the series.

A steamy mountain man romance with a bit of stalking as he works to learn more about his woman while giving her the space she seems to need to be ready for him. Hunter and Grier are great together. He’s ready to jump all in but she needs a little convincing because of her lack of role models in the relationship department. There is a bit of DDlg in this book that wasn’t included in the description. So just a heads up for those readers that aren’t a fan of that. There isn’t age play but they do refer to each other as “Daddy” and “baby girl.” It’s not over the top and adds a bit of spice to the book. I loved Hunter and his desire to claim and keep his woman by his side. Lots of growly mountain man moments in this book.

I loved A Very Mountain Man Claiming Book 2 of Fallen Peak: Military Heroes. Hunter is done waiting. He’s been patiently waiting for Grier to be ready for him but when she starts talking about dating other men he’s done. Grier doesn’t date because of her mothers disastrous dating life. She would love to date Hunter but she doesn’t want to be her mother so she stays away until Hunter kidnaps her. He’s talking about forever but can she believe him? How does he know it’s forever? Hunter will show her it’s forever. Such a sweet storyline and I loved the characters. I would definitely recommend this book and the series.

Wow I am really loving this new series (even though its still very much connected to the original fallen peak series) and I love getting to meet new characters and getting to see how their romance will go down! The storyline was the perfect storyline, grabbing you and pulling you in and giving you all the goodness you can devour, this author doing what she does best! Even though this may be classed as a novella this really does feel like a full story, giving you that satisfying ending without it feeling rushed or missing anything.

As soon as Hunter moved to town and saw Grier he knew they were meant to be. The problem was, she hadn’t gotten that memo. Now Hunter has had enough and is ready to stake his claim. Grier doesn’t believe in relationships and believes that she’ll always be left behind and made to believe she’s not important. This was a fast paced steamy read with an OTT ex-military guy who wants to settle down with his girl and give her the world. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I thought this was just the usual romantic love story but at about the middle of the story daddy comes into play which leads to the playroom at the end of the story. It's a nice story but that came out as a surprise.

This was a fantastic book. I really enjoyed Grier and Hunter together with their intense connection and chemistry. All it took was one look for Hunter to fall for Grier but she tries to fight her feelings because of her mother. Hunter is not going to let his woman get away from him that easily. Lots of laughs but also swooning moments and steam. I really enjoyed this book. And I can't wait for more.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. This book in the Fallen Peak series is about Hunter and Grier. He's determined and losing his patience with the woman he loves. Grier's past makes it hard to trust in love but she's lonely and wants Hunter. Things take a quick turn and sparks fly. It was a good romance and I liked both Grier and Hunter. Oh wow.. I could not put this book down until it was finished. Grier is a strong independent woman who does not want to turn out like her mother so she tried her hardest to stay away from relationships and feelings. But Hunter is the type of man who goes for what he wants and knows that is Grier.
These two are passionate and steamy together, definitely meant to be together.
This was a fantastic book, and I can not wait for the next book in this series.

Nope, daddy
Where the heck did the daddy stuff come from?! I was not prepared for that, and how quickly it escalated. I’m fine with a kink, but this just came out of the blue and suddenly took over.
I didn’t particularly enjoy this book anyway, the characters weren’t very likeable and I don’t think taking away someone’s free will should be considered sexy.

This book was definitely filthy and full of heat. Grier and Hunter were an over the top intense couple. I liked everything about this book, except the daddy stuff. I guess I missed that in the blurb because that really isn’t my trope. But honestly that would be my only complaint. The characters were great.

Greer and Hunter's story is a hot and steamy story that pulls you in from the start. Hunter sees Greer as his, but has not made his move, until he pushed to take her.

Grier cutting hair for a living. Hunter West gets his done by her every day and watching her all the time. Hunter was a Navy Seal and bought a cabin when he left the Seals in the mountains. He told Grier he was her man and she was his woman. The proof was he knew everything about her food, clothes and where she lives. Good read😊😁

Book two of Fallen Peak, Military Heroes is another great read by Shaw Hart. I love the way Grier and Hunter interact, chemistry like this is what Shaw is known for. Their story just rolls off the pages into your imagination. I enjoyed reading their journey from acquaintance to HEA!.

Patience ~
I enjoyed reading this story. I liked the explanation as to why she was so cautious of him, as sad as it was, it wasn’t because of him. He saw something was going on, and instead of demanding the info, he just cared for her and put her first, making sure she knew how important she was to him. Loved their epilogue.

Loved Grier and Hunter. He's hilarious, but he's determined to prove to Grier that they belong together. Even if he has to kidnap her to do it. These two are perfect for each other and I loved being able to see past characters in this world.

There is a lot of tender loving care in Grier and Hunter's story. Hunter is all in but Grier has to fight her ghosts and fears for them to get their HEA. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
