A slick lion is about to get sticky this holiday season when he meets his unlikely mate.
It’s almost Christmas, and a visiting lion prince is excited to go tree hunting with the Pride ladies. Only a mishap with a squirrel leaves the posh Felix snowed in with a honey-loving bear.
Edwina, owner of Honey Pine Farm, is a bear with a serious sweet tooth who prefers comfort over style. She’s counting down the days until she can head south for Christmas, only to get snowed in with a lion prince.
She isn’t impressed by his silky-soft mane, and he casts doubts on honey as a cure-all, yet as they spend time together, they discover they have more in common than expected—and a passion hotter than chestnuts roasting on a fire.
When Edwina is put in danger during a beehive heist, he’ll do anything—even place his trust in the squirrel that almost killed him—to help save the bear he loves.
Hello, my name is Eve Langlais and I am an International Bestselling author who loves to write hot romance, usually with werewolves, cyborgs or aliens .
I should warn you, I have a twisted imagination and a sarcastic sense of humor something I like to let loose in my writing. While well known for my shifter stories, I am also extremely partial to aliens, the kind who like to abduct humans and then drive them insane...with pleasure. Or do you like something a little darker, more serious? Then check out my cyborgs whose battle with humanity have captivated readers worldwide.
Opposites attract in this humorous holiday romance by Eve Langlais.
Edwina Barkley is a brash and independent woman. As an American brown bear shifter she can certainly take care of herself. And when his Royal Majesty, Prince Felix Charlemagne the Seventh, visits her honey farm while on holiday she instantly pegs him as an imperious prick. These two clash initially but thanks to a feisty squirrel and a snow storm they get a second chance.
Can a spoiled lion prince from Europe and an eclectic honey farmer from America put aside their differences enough to realize they underestimated the other and allow themselves the most precious gift of all... love, happiness, family...
Deck the Mane by Eve Langlais is a delightful romance that is perfect for the season!
Dual POV - Felix and Edwina No cheating or sharing - no ow drama - no manwhore Teensy-weensy om drama - h's ex of 3 mons. makes an appearance - MC's are always respectful of each other IMO H is 35 / h is 37 Spicy and descriptive - no virgins Epilogue 1yr
4 stars because… Every book doesn’t have to be perfect to be entertaining. This was the highest level of fun I’ve experienced in a long time. Over the top. Unapologetic. Fun and a pleasure to read. I wanted to write how I wanted this to be longer, more in-depth, more flushed out characters and a greater sense of place BUT wisely Eve Langlais stays in her lane and does what she does. If she ever decides to go there I’ll give her a chance but honestly this made me so happy. Cheers.
"Deck the Mane" is a easy going, funny shapeshifting Christmas story that is just the right story to escape the stressful Christmas hustle and bustle due to its lightness.
Well this one was brilliant. Loved the characters and storyline so very much. Great story to end the 14 book series. All the Lions and the Bears ending up to form a loving family. Edwina, Felix, Luna, Jeoff, Reba, Leo, Melly, Theo and Joan made for a fun adventure. Barry was treated to his comeuppance by Papa Bear. Mama Bear delivered Simba Luna and Jeoff’s baby and Edwina and Felix’s little Princess Lulu entered the shifter universe the following year. Oh I wish there were more stories. These have been some of the best stories. All except at the beginning when someone silly decided to mess up that Luna’s husband Jeoff WAS NOT a Joel!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰💜💜💜💜💜😊😊😊😊😊🦁🐻
Oh my! When these lions get up to their highjinks you just never know what’s going to happen next, but find yourself laughing until the very end. The characters are vain, but gentle, grumpy, but kind, interfering, but caring, and above all absolutely hilarious. The author made this story one laugh after another with moments of sweetness and levity mixed in. I love the way the family sticks together, and the side help from an unexpected hero. This book is perfect for the holiday season and I’m looking forward to reading what these crazy lions get up to next.
Cute quick little read, Felix a prince can be a little annoying with all his hair products and body lotions. Edwina I get the impression thinks he's to pampered and a little over the top. She's a farmer lived most of her life on the farm raising bee's and making honey products for family and friends. Most definitely an unlikely pair. UNTIL Felix gets lost in the woods during a snowstorm and Edwina has to go find him. A good bump on his noggin and she's able to prank him. That was cute.
I think Edwina realized you can't judge a book by it's cover. There was a lot more to Felix then anyone would have guessed.
This was just the fun and frivolity I needed! A foreign royal cousin and the farmer bear, a match made in rawrring heaven. Add in a troublesome, Santa hat wearing squirrel, for a bit more liveliness. Felix and Edwina end up snowed in together, and then rescued when they didn’t wany to be. Pride hijinks ensue and, more bears, along with a wolf (thank you very much) and more lions, all settle in to enjoy Christmas, and another special delivery, once they save the day 😊
Although a Christmas romance, it was silly and funny at times. Edwina is a strong female bear shifter who owns a farm that produces honey and honey products. In comes a lion shifter named Felix who is a prince and is a little snotty at first. Felix attends the annual tree cutting with his cousin's female lion shifters. After Felix gets left behind at the farm by the female lion shifters, he and Edwina get to know each other in many ways. All ends in a happily ever after.
Another quirky, funny, sweet, quick, X-mas romance in this series. I love how much fun these books are, as well as the women being so feisty and hilarious. This one fit right in with the vibe of this series. A feel-good holiday read that I would absolutely recommend. It works as a standalone, but just know you'll likely want to go back to the start and read them all.
It’s always a treat to return to this series and hilarious and crazy stuff these characters get up to. Main characters were interesting and fun. Our hero is fun and hot while our heroine is strong and vulnerable and the same time. They are a wonderful match. This was quite an enjoyable and entertaining read.
Guilty pleasure. The author always has the most humor and irreverence when mating these couples- this time a lion and a bear. I like the tall curvy bee keeper and the Prince from Europe finding each other at Christmas time during a snow storm and bee heist. Loved seeing the Liston pride cameos too.
This was such a fun Christmas story. As always Eve Langlais has written a very detailed, fun loving, with quirky, snarky characters who add so much depth into the story. I absolutely enjoyed and loved this book.
A lighthearted Christmas story featuring the Lion's pride crowd, Deck the Mane is a quick, fun read for a cold winter evening. It helps to have read the series but can be read as a stand alone. I hope there's more.
Finally finished this extremely funny book! I had to start with chapter 2 over and over again, kept falling asleep due to exhaustion. Lol. But so glad I kept trying. Well worth it too!! Loved main couple, once again 🥰
Prince Felix a Lion Shifter had came to America to visit his cousin. Edwina Brown Bear Shifter running the family tree and honey farm, has found her Fated Mate Felix !
I’d put this book in the Erotic Romcom category. Some of it had me rolling my eyes at the silly/corny parts, some of it had me laughing, some moments were cute and swoon worthy, and some were uncomfortable thanks to the unnecessary intimate details. Over all though I did enjoy the story.
This book had an almost slapstick type of humor. If you ever decide to go into the forest during a snowstorm, make sure to take plenty of nuts along with you in case you find yourself at the mercy of a little squirrel in a red hat. I enjoyed the book.
Couldn't put it down loved the characters and the storyline so it's a well deserved five stars and I would recommend this book to everyone as I love this series
I enjoyed this book from the first page. It kept me laughing all the way. This author really has a sense of humor and knows how to entertain her readers.
LOOOOVVVEEED this story! It's an absolutely perfect A Lion's Pride story, and also an absolutely perfect Christmas story, and I LOVE a good Christmas story!
