March 5, 2023I received this book for review and normally I don’t review dnfs. I stopped reading this at the unexpected pregnancy as it’s my least favorite trope. Also the writing in this one felt so wonky and normally I don’t even care about great writing.

Oh my word!!!! What a book!!
I will be honest because as a book reviewer I think that is important and I won't blow up someone's ego just for the sake of it.
When I first started reading this I didn't think that I would get on with this book as there were a number of spooky similarities that we shared in younger years.
This book then took a few different turns and bloody hell my eyes were opened and the more invested I became.
This book was really well written and bloody hell did Rose and Daniel go through some turbulent times...the dirty old man in the first house I would skewered him through his bits; mind you at one stage I would have also done that to Daniel.
The couple though being together from such a young age really had their heads screwed on and they were a solid unit.
The spice side of things in the first half of book was a bit of a korma but then the second half of the ramped up to a spicy jalfrezi so is definitely heading in the right direction and I can see in many ways how this book could develop going in to the next book.
I just hope I get to review the series out now as I was superbly impressed by this and highly recommend this book. It ticks all the boxes and I cannot wait to see what happens in the next book, like I NEED a physical copy asap it was that good.
Definitely pick this book up as it is more than worth the read. Huge thanks to Kathryn Louise for sending me this book to review. I will keep my promise and take the book along with me where l mentioned to you I am going and I'll get some more promotion pictures for you and share to my stories.

Totally loved this!! New to me author, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it is! I will deff read more from this author! I loved the characters and the plot. It was easy to read and well thought out!

I was recommended this book by a friend and wow this really rocked!! It starts off setting the scene, really connected with the two main characters and the situations they are faced with. It made me want to read on, loved the ending (but won't spoilt it for you all - you have to read it). She writes really well, nice and easy to follow. We need a book two though as I want to find out what happens next...

I would firstly just like to say a big thank you to the author who very kindly forwarded me an arc paperback copy of her book in return for my honest review.
I was very sceptical before i read this book, as I hadn’t come across the author before and the blurb didn’t tell me much either but i am so glad that I decided to read it because i absolutely loved everything about it and thoroughly enjoyed it.
The story is amazing and comes with so many shocks and twists and turns i was constantly dizzy! Just as i thought that everything had worked out and was going to be ok, bam, it all blew up, yet again.
I loved Rose, she was an amazing and interesting character and I can’t wait to find out what happens next in her life. Thank goodness there are more books in the series and now I’m more than curious for the next instalment…..

I read this book as part of an online book club and wasn’t really sure what to expect.
I must say I admire anyone who writes books and the stories concocted, but I just wasn’t sure where this book was going or what its purpose was, and I was left feeling a little flat sadly. There were moments I really wanted to vouch for these characters, but they were quickly quashed by the protagonist’s continued weaving of a web of deceit and her inability to prioritise and focus on what is important.

I thought this book was a really good read! Real life issues but also dreamy fantasies, Highly recommend to give this a read. Such a lovely couple, so right for each other and the love they have for one another is incredible.

I did enjoy this as a free book on Kindle Unlimited but I felt the ending was too rushed. I understand why because I believe there will be a follow on but I felt there could have been more to this story just another 20 pages or so!
The story is written in the voice of Rose. Almost as though she is telling the story of times past, back when it started when she was 15 and joined the Army Cadets and met Daniel. Quite surprising as it got spicy quite quickly then fizzled out then the second half there was more spice!
Rose and Daniel become an item and suddenly they find themselves pregnant when Rose is only 17. Daniel isn't keen and wants Rose to have an abortion but after telling her parents and they didn't go mad, they decided to keep the baby. What follows then is the story of the couple finding a place together, which didn't go to plan with a stalker of a landlord! Then having a baby and managing to get onto the property ladder only for things to go crazy then too! Full of ups and downs for the couple. Daniel does something which Rose hates him for but she desperately wants the family they have.
When their son was a couple of years old the story goes to the time they had a week away in Crete and met another couple. Things took another turn there when a bit of fun turns into something more dramatic. More spice!
I did think this story seemed to be rushed in lots of places, you got one point then it was over as soon as it started and the story skipped on further into the future. Likewise there were also bits that were long winded when they didn't need to be! It was a bit tricky to follow because I felt it wasn't as detailed as it could have been but I still enjoyed it and will read the second one.

This book was really different from the books I read. It was gifted to me by the author herself. It really was interesting. It’s an easy and a fast read.
It’s no fairytale, on the contrary it describes in a very realistic way all the difficulties that a young couple, childhood sweethearts, have to go through. The second half of the book was really spicy…
I liked to see the growth of the characters. How they responded to the challenges in their lives.
I really liked it and I can’t wait to read more of Rose and Daniel! There are more books to come, it’s a series.

Loved this book, the author was a new one for me but had seen it on Instagram and TikTok so decided to give it a go. Easy to read, really liked the characters and enjoyed the twists and turns that they experienced. Nice to see some topics covered that aren't always written about. What a cliffhanger at the end. Excited to read the next one in the series.

Follow along with Rose as she navigates love, growing up, and lots of obstacles and hardships. The book is told from her perspective which gives you a really good sense of her feelings and struggles. She makes some questionable decisions along the way and you get to see the aftermath of those choices. Her relationship with Daniel is so loving, but also so complicated. They fall in love so young and have to grow up so fast. There are lots of surprises and moments of suspense throughout the book which I really enjoyed! It ends on a cliffhanger, so now I’m so curious to know what happens next.

Unfortunately I wasn’t a big fan of this book. The overall plot was okay, a young struggling couple showing their ups and downs and problems in a real life relationship. However, I found most of the characters to be annoying and it particularly frustrated me that the main character just KEPT lying and withholding information from her boyfriend, & family, which just kept making things worse, like, you’d think she’d learn!!!
Plus the spicy scenes did make me quite uncomfortable, especially the early ones because… they’re children…

I am confused why this book has glowing reviews, I didn't enjoy it and its story was quite basic and is in desperate need of a editor. I also take exception to the author buying books from amazon and sending direct to bloggers for a review to show as a verified purchase, and am of the opinon that the author listing three large 500 250 and 75 pound so called giveaways of amazon vouchers to gain followers and not to ever draw them and simply delete the post is not a way to gain readers. The book has also not been in the top 100 on amazon either like the author claims nor is it best selling like her website says so very dishonest

I had never heard of this author before but Oh My God!!!! I couldn't put the book down, love the main characters and I am hoping that she writes the next book soon.... I follow her on TikTok and Instagram as well and some great content. Definitely recommend this to others!!!
