This collection is a selection of articles following the growth of contemporary Satanism in the United States, mainly driven by the legal and political exploits of The Satanic Temple.
Satanism is as much an offshoot of atheism as it is of an of outgrowth of abrahamic traditions. Easily the most axiomatically disdained sect by mainstream religions and often shunned by other Atheists for their use of psychodrama, Satanism walks a thin line that evokes magical language while regarding the supernatural as flim-flam and parlor tricks. This tendency often leads some science-minded secularists to conclude that all the Satanic pomp and circumstance is a mere troll or lark, discounting the social role Satanic organizations fill for their congregations.
