"All it took was one smile, that damned smile, and I found myself falling in love with her all over again."

Seventeen-year-old Luna Delgato has always had a perfect life - as most would say, however, there is always more than the outside. She's your typical popular cheerleader and dating the most desired guy in school, Austin Chambers, until it all comes crashing down at a party with practically the entire year in attendance. Austin abruptly, and publicly, ends their three-year relationship leaving Luna's heart in pieces. Desperate to win back the heart of her first love she makes a pact with Hudson Wilder - her childhood best friend turned bitter enemy. The pair pretend to fake date in hopes of reeling a jealous Austin back into Luna's life - but cherished memories arise to the surface and Luna finds herself wanting her most cherished friend back in her life. Hudson, always having harbored secret feelings for Luna goes along with the plan but eventually, his true desires take over. He confesses his feelings for the only girl he's ever loved - only to get shot down. But, Hudson has never been one to give up easily.

Hudson makes it his personal mission to show Luna why he is the better choice. From public declarations and romantic gestures, such as asking her to the school dance in front of the entire Homecoming parade or stealing the crown from the Homecoming queen. Luna finds herself slowly falling for the sweet childhood friend under the bad boy exterior - but one problem arises. Their untimely graduation and inevitable goodbyes.

"You've stolen my heart, Luna Delgato, it's yours forever. I don't ever plan to collect."

The moment I started reading, it had me hooked. The little hatred between the main characters was hilarious and it made even more interested where this story was going to take me. Hudson Wilder is my dream boy, literally he won my heart with the way he expressed himself and his grey personality is an immediate yes for me. Luna Delgato, she’s a queen. The girl went through a lot, especially with her relationship with Austin and pulled through. They’re both very complimenting to each other and the connection goes even deeper with them being childhood friends turned enemies. The plot was everything and I mean it had a plot and it’s been a while since I’ve read a book that developed correctly and this one did the trick.

The writing it was EVERYTHING! Meagan knows how to make me feel things, like cry, laugh, even drive me to the edge to not stop reading. I could picture everything the characters described. I felt the emotions and whenever there was a touching moment, it felt like I was in it. The words and grammar hit just the right spot.

If you want to read a teen, funny and emotional book, this one’s it and TRUST me, you will NOT regret it. I loved it and the author, she’s an amazing person.

My Rating-⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My Review -

The book pictures the main characters Hudson Wilder and Luna Delgato even though they were childhood friends once but because of some reasons they became enemies and continued to hate each other. When Luna thinks that everything is perfect in her life Austin Chambers, her boyfriend whom  she meant her life to, breaks up the long relationship with her in a public party leaving her heart breaking to pieces. To win back his love by jealousy she makes a deal of fake dating with Hudson… Luna got a feeling that she got her childhood best friend back in his life who is very charming and lovely in the cover of a bad guy… Everything changes when Hundson confesses his secret feelings about her which she doesn't want to have. But Hudson is not the type of person who gives up who always tries to prove how better he is for her…

This story continues how she eventually falls for her childhood friend. But their ultimate journey after graduation is the only fear they have…

This book has a dual POV and the writing skills of the author explaining each and every detail was fabulous. It is very hard to put down the book and it's an amazing page turner. This book always keeps us engaged with each and every scene right from starting till end. Every character in this book was well designed and narrated in a great manner which makes readers fall in love with them. My favourite character is  definitely Hudson Wilder, he is a dream boy type of guy  of maximum girls in teenage and his attitude is quite interesting when he deals with Luna like being sweet and rude at the same time to make her know the truth and the reality..

I would recommend this book to those who love reading teenage romance and I can assure that you won't regret it.. Thank you so much Meagan For this amazing book and I wish more success in your life 💕..

Where do I even begin?! This story had me from the first line. I was in it. I was living it. Living with the characters each and every step of the way. This book allowed me to time travel all the way back to my high school days. One where we would do the stupidest of things to gain our crush's attention.
The characters in this book were amazing and flawed in every way like real human beings walking on earth. It was a very realistic story and one i could slightly resonate with. My favourite line , which i wont quote but play around with with words, is when Luna said she felt a buffalo stampede and not butterflies. Those are feelings and emotions that ever person feels when in love.
The fact that this book allows you to laugh, grin, tear up, get angry, clench your teeth, cry and cry some more is the best feeling ever.
Im not sure if this is a spoiler but i love the fact that we arent meant to base our future revolving around only one person. And i think thats beautiful. Oh and not to mention anger is a real thing and in my opinion Meagan depicts it beautifully
One thing that did make me laugh was that the characters parents didnt die in a car crash hahaha
This book really was hard to put down when i needed to cook or shower. I loved every moment i spent reading this novel. And i cant wait to have the opportunity to read the rest of the characters story.
Meagan is an amazing writer who puts her all in her writing, using simple words yet very drawing to the mind. Her descriptions are flawless and her characters are a pieces of everyone around us. And one more thing. I find this book lovely as it doesnt have curse words even tho i cuss a lot. The book is PG 13 in my opinion and i actually enjoyed a refreshing book that didnt have sex in it as like the main idea. I cherished every kissing scene there was in this book.
Thank you so much for an amazing book! And i am also delighted to call you a friend.
Keep writng

I'm not one for teenage romances, and they are not my favourite genre but We're At It Again gave me the warm and fuzzies and it was enough to give it a solid 4 stars.

Hudson and Luna was a very quick, and easy read and I really found their dynamic very adorable and cute. I did find some repitiveness that gave me After vibes (I haven't read After but I've read reviews and watched the movie), and im hoping Meagan will improve on this as she continues to grow in her writing and storytelling and flesh out the characters a bit more.

I loved that Luna recognized the bad traits she found in herself that probably stemmed from her relationship from Austin and I adore that she recognized it and decided to change and adapt to her flaws. Although her resentment of Austin felt very forced and out of nowhere, I appreciated that she learned from him and grew from it.

Hudson is my fave. I love his msicheviousness and playfulness but I could do without his corny quotes and flamboyant speech as it's very cliche and I understand how someone could easily fall for him. I can't wait to see how this character specifically will grow and mature as the series continues.

Some things I didn't besides the repetitveness was the two dimensional side characters that felt like nothing but like extras. They served no real purpose and didn't do anything to the plot.

But, as someone who enjoys fantasy, horror and a little bit more of mature content I wouldn't have picked this up at all BUT if you ever want to get into reading - especially if you're a teenager, I would highly reccomend this novel!!!

Well done, Meagan!! I can't wait to see the other stories you will create!

i’ve had the honor of receiving an arc version of meagan’s rerelease of this book and i’m so incredibly grateful for it 🩷 as always meagan her writing style is phenomenal and i absolutely love whatever she writes, she never has any misses !!! 🫡⭐️ i think one of my favorite quotes in this book is:

“have you ever been someone’s boyfriend before?” “no, but i’m already better than your previous one.”

the book is a fake dating / childhood friends to enemies / secretly in love with her / falling out 🤍

I loved reading this book! The angst, the fake dating, the characters Hudson and Luna! Just everything ! I really loved the development and slow burn the romance had. I also LIVED FOR THE BANTER! I definitely recommend this to everyone to read ! Not only is the story itself is bomb but the description and the writing style the author has makes it *chefs kiss*

Dnfed at 58% line

This book was suggested to me in one of my TikTok videos so I thought I’d give it a go. I was privileged enough to be sent an ARC by the lovely author.

The blurb gave me high hopes because if there is one trope, I can absolutely go feral for every single time and never get bored is, fake dating to make an ex jealous but ending up falling for the other person instead. Especially when that other person is their so called “enemy” 😁

“Hudson Wilder is, was and will always be the bane of my existence” seems like Luna is dedicating an awfully lot of energy towards her “enemy”

I love the inclusion of dual POV. This plot has been adapted in almost every young adults coming of age romance or rom com movie however I am an avid rom com lover and will read this plot re-adaptation over and over again until the end.

The tropes included are what influenced me to give this book a go. Fake dating, best friends to enemies to lovers. Enticing ? I think so.

I did however struggle to connect to the characters in the first couple chapters as their was no description of their appearance however it gave me the opportunity to imagine them how I wanted to.

I found hudson to be quite pessimistic, although that could be understood when delving into his back story, I found him quite unlikable in the first couple of chapters. He tried to embody a mysterious bad boy kind of vibe but in reality it was more of a pessimistic, rebellious vibes which no one cared for.

I am however loving maya’s character. She’s loveable and fierce with a hint of sass.

The scene during homecoming where Hudson steals the home coming queen crown and making a run for it had me cackling in my seat.

However unfortunately, She went from 0-100 in regards to her feelings for him which wasn’t written well at all. I sensed no chemistry between them and just couldn’t finish the book.

Thank you to the author for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Unfortunately, this book had some major problems that prevented me from enjoying it very much.

There were numerous grammatical errors, practically constant. I usually try not to critique these too much in ARCs since I understand I'm not reading the final version of the book, but We're At It Again reads like an early draft. There are so many errors in spelling, tense, and punctuation that overall they significantly detract from the reading experience.

In addition, the writing was incredibly repetitive. I lost track of how many times Hudson mentioned crushing a cigarette under his boot or how often Luna hugged her arms around herself or how many fights the characters got into. Repetitive character traits are normal, but you can only say the same thing over and over so many times before it gets annoying. Whole sentences also directly contradicted earlier dialogue or events. The book was either repeating itself or confusing me with inconsistencies at every turn. I also struggled with the frequent philosophizing of Luna and Hudson. It's as if every time the book switches perspectives it needs to mark doing so by having the character launch into a page-long attempt at poetic language, which rather than being insightful, just drags. I would have found all these issues acceptable when reading an early draft, but when an ARC reader is supposed to receive a version of the book that is practically complete minus minor corrections prepublication, and when this book seems so far from that mark, I'm left feeling disappointed and trying to get through the book as fast as possible.

Which is a shame, because besides the significant errors, I would have enjoyed the story. Both main characters had a handful of moments that reminded me of To All the Boys I've Loved Before and other successful high school romance stories. But then again, I would have enjoyed the plot if it hadn't also been for the confusing choices each character made, some of those choices acting in direct opposition to the opinions they had just voiced.

Overall, I felt the story has some potential, but in its present condition the book is underdeveloped and should not have been considered ready for publication. I however would encourage the author to keep working on the book and hire a professional editor, because some reworking and collaborative feedback could turn this into a charming story.

I wanted to like this book because I bought it to support an author I came across on booktok. However, with that being said, I wasn't a big fan. The characters were very repetitive and I felt like even within the same chapter it is constantly reintroducing the same idea as if the author had started two different ideas in a draft and accidently submitted both. The grammar was really hard to get past for me. The characters fought over the absolute dumbest things and yet no one in their lives was telling these almost adults to get their shit together. Instead of just using words like human beings to portray things like thoughts and feelings, the author constantly had them brooding about and stomping out only to have things magically resolved. I am still wondering exactly what the point of the fake dating plot was in this book. Her ex she was trying to make jealous had a new girlfriend from 5 months before they even broke up and clearly showed no interest in her. There was no reason to fake date. Not only that, but they didn't kiss once in public until they fell in love instantly? There was no build up, no resolution, no reasoning and the childish mannerisms just made it rough to get through. I think if the storyline got reworked so the pact had a point in the first place it could have been less cringy.

2.5 stars: this isn’t the worst book I’ve read, unfortunately it wasn’t the best. When I first picked up this book, it seemed as though it had so much potential to be one of my favorites.
Fake dating/best friends and enemies to lovers is one of my favorite tropes. The author had well written imagery within the book, but lacked the depth in charcters. This is a dual perspective between the characters Luna and Hudson, I wanted to enjoy this book but I felt no connection between any of characters. Luna and Hudson, fake date in order to make Luna’s ex boyfriend jealous….they barely expanded of the ex boyfriend’s reaction. As for Hudson’s end of the bargain. He would get this character Stacy off his back. (Hudson and Stacy’s interactions were very minimal)
Hudson always being in love with Luna made sense, but Luna’s feelings jumped from 0 to 100 real quick. The transition when Luna realizes she shared feelings for Hudson was very rushed. The character Maya which was Luna’s best friend and one of Hudson’s friend, was a a great character. Even without any detail or back story on their friendship, her character was enjoyable to read by the way she was portrayed. She had so much potent though…. All the characters did.
Overall this book was okay. Towards the end it made me gush, and certain pages made me happy to read this book, but it could’ve been way better.

ARC REVIEW:
“All it took was one smile, that damned smile, and I found myself falling in love with her all over again.”
🔖WE’RE AT IT AGAIN🔖
🌟🌟🌟🌟.5/5

The author portrays Hudson Wilder and Luna Delgato as enemies who have remained hostile toward one another despite their former friendship. When Luna thinks her life is perfect, Austin Chambers, the lover she devoted her entire being to, ends their relationship in front of others at a party, leaving Luna's heart broken. She strikes a plan to pretend to date Hudson in an effort to win back his affection via jealousy. We all know where this is headed (wink wink 😉)
However, everything changes when Hundson confesses to her his forbidden emotions.

The author's work is impressive, and this book has dual points of view. From the very beginning to the very end, every situation in this book keeps us intrigued. Each character in this book was expertly developed and narrated, making readers care about them. Without a doubt, Hudson Wilder is my favourite character since he is the perfect guy for most young females.

You must read about them to find out more about them and their journey. If you're seeking a young adult, amusing, and emotional book, you won't be let down if you decide to read this one. It was a fantastic book, and @Meagan Pringle is a great author!

Very sweet and safe read with no spice.

I liked the premise of the story and it was a good read but there isn't much depth to the story or the characters. This is a story between Luna and Hudson who are best friends but fall out when they are 13. The majority of the book is set some 4/5 years later. She is dating a guy who cheats on her and Hudson jumps to her rescue having wanted to make up with her for a long time. They fake date but it's not really fake.

He helps her come out of her shell and become who she used to be. So much more could have been made of this but there was a lot of telling.

2.75 this book was entertaining but the writing was kind of a mess. the timing of the book started to make no sense. in the beginning of the book, the characters are starting their senior year (so one would think august or september) and then later on supposedly it’s 6 months later but it’s halloween? it made no sense. there were grammatical mistakes, as well. and there were so many things happening. so many parties and dances that i couldn’t even keep track. it also just seemed like the author was trying to fit every trope and cliche into the book. i like the characters and the plot of the book; it just could’ve been executed better. but it was a good pallet cleanser

edit: i forgot to mention but there was also so much physical violence for literally no reason? 😭 these characters could not deal with their anger without punching someone in the face

I feel like this story has potential but just needs a bit more work before being called finished. The premise was good. But the timeline was confusing at times. The seasons were a bit melded together at moments.

It's a sweet story, but sometimes I felt like the language was too mature for teenagers. Too poetic if that makes sense.

Overall, I enjoyed it and think this author shows good promise with a little bit more meat added to the bones of this tale.

This book was super adorable I love the good girl X bad boy (calling him a bad boy is a bit of a stretch). It was a little cliche and cringey at a lot of parts though. I wish we got flashbacks to when they were younger and what happened at the treehouse. A lot of it revolves too much around them and other characters are a bit undeveloped - like Eli and Maya there best friends. I love how his mom brings out his soft side

Short and sweet ♥️ the banter was so funny to read. Hudson is just a total softie when it comes to Luna and I was LIVING for it. The romantic gestures even when it was something he didn’t want to do but did it anyway bc he knew it would make Luna happy was 🤌🏻 I loved this book and I couldn’t put it down 🥰 5 stars for me ⭐️♥️

This is a cute short read but I loved it. Luna and Hudson used to be best friends, now turned enemies. Hudson has always loved Luna and even after they stop being friends. They are now entering their senior year when Luna gets the news that her boyfriend cheated on her. They both make a deal to fake date in order to piss her ex off.
