Love letter to Lola Glass
I started with Hazel's book, just hoping for a fun read and fully expecting to speed through the earlier series so I could get back to Shifter City. But what started as a casual detour quickly became a deep dive into a world I never wanted to leave.
I don’t usually read author notes—they often feel like cookie-cutter PR fluff. But Lola Glass’s are different. She shares her struggles with story development so openly, and it deepens my connection to every book. You can feel the love, the effort, and the heart behind every word she writes.
Lola doesn’t just write characters. She breathes life into them. In my 30 years of reading romance, I’ve read steamier books and stories with more intricate plots, but I’ve never fallen in love with a world the way I have with hers. These characters feel real—like friends, like family, like soul-deep connections.
If readers had true author mates, Lola Glass would be mine. I’m idling with excitement, just waiting to return to Hazel and Merrick’s story.

Negative stars and this was the book to put Lola Glass on my never buy again list. What is with authors making the FMC on the cover with weird flowing hair going in all directions? And the fact she put a dude that looks balding and 50 years old when the girl is an 18 year old virgin is just so gross. Also Lola Glass writes the same FMC in literally all her books. Nor does she know how to actually write.

Always a Favorite ♡
No matter how many times i read Henley and Roman's story i fall in love with it all over again. Roman remains firmly one of my favorite books boyfriends ♡ you can't help but love Henley's Sassy, Stubborn and sacrcastic personality she's definitely my soul sistah.
Love that London and Jamie's novellas are part of this completed package too.
Henley Clark has always been a hot commodity amongst wolf shifters also known as Wolfsbane and it's not because of her natural pink hair, she has the ability to allow wolves not to be controlled by the curse of the moon and revert to beastly forms each night, but only for the pack she belongs to. The pack she grew up in hid her away as best they could but all that changed when she was eight and another pack saw firsthand what her ability could do. Her back is a patchwork of scars each a mark from an Alpha who stole her and forced her into yet another pack. Her most recent packs Alpha tried to force her to mate with him and she knew she had to run. Finding solace in New York she spent six months freely under the radar until she was found and with a tattoo across her collarbone with the word Wolfsbane that was forced on her as a child she knew staying under the radar wouldn't last forever. She'd never known kindness from Alpha's they always took what they wanted or tortured her to get it. But the New York Alpha was a different breed, Roman Ellis, rather than forcing Henley to join his pack he offerred her a deal. Spend one year with his pack and he'd pay her in return and not a small sum either. Henley had never had anyone ask her what she wanted let alone offered her money in return for her gift, it was an offer she couldn't refuse and granted her freedom something she'd also never had except for the last six months.
Roman Ellis couldn't deny his attraction to the fiery haired beauty but Henley was so broken she'd closed herself off to the prospect of happiness a long time ago but Roman was a patient man he'd chase her forever because from the moment he caught her scent and the sight of her hair he knew even before seeing her face or hearing her voice that Henley Clark was it for him. Roman Ellis was the perfect gentleman and had every single she-wolf swooning which made Henley a target to their fury whether she wanted Roman's attention or not.
Just when she finally starts to open her heart to the New York pack forming friendships and even giving into her growing feelings for Roman, as with anything in her life everything comes crashing down around her. The truth about her pink hair comes to light and it wasn't something she'd ever expect.
Her survival is left hanging in the hands of someone who's not even her mate but it's Roman who will have to sacrifice it all to save her, the only question left will be is he strong enough to walk away in order to save her or will he risk it all and possibly die in the process.

I made it about 33% through this book before I finally called it quits—I was just too frustrated to keep going. The FMC felt incredibly inconsistent and honestly started to get annoying. I understand the trauma and abuse in the first portion of the book and why she wouldn’t want a mate, but her behavior constantly contradicts itself. For example, in one chapter she says she needs to complete the bond so she won’t get hunted anymore, and then just a few pages later she insists she would never consider it and is better off alone. That kind of back-and-forth happens so often it gives you whiplash.
There were also a lot of inconsistencies beyond just the character. One moment Roman has a sports car, then two sentences later it suddenly becomes a truck, stays a truck for several pages, and then switches back to a sports car again. Later, it’s still referred to as a truck. Little details like that made the story feel really unpolished. On top of that, there were noticeable spelling errors throughout, which made it even more frustrating to read.
I also struggled with how the FMC treated Roman. One page she’s declaring her love for him, how she’s the safest with him and talking about how amazing he is, and the next she’s calling him a terrible person. I understand the emotional conflict, but the constant extreme shifts just got old very quickly.
Overall, this had potential, but the inconsistencies and repetitive emotional flip-flopping made it too frustrating for me to finish. I’ve read almost all of Lola’s books and have loved them, this was the first DNF for me of hers.

Amazing story
I always love Lola’s writing, but I’d say this series took it up a notch in depth and complexity, without losing the ease of reading and voice that I associate with her books. The plot was strong in each book and across the series. The attraction and tension were high, even if the intimacy and relationship as a whole were a bit more of a slow burn. The spice was quality. The world-building was on point. Both MCs were well-developed. Even the novella’s were well-done, although they were obviously less in-depth and faster paced. This series is not just fun to read, but deeply satisfying and well-worth the time.

This story was the complete package! Roman and Henley’s story completely gripped me from the beginning. ❤️
Trauma, heartache, loss, love, fighting for your one true mate… this story has everything! The emotions, the struggles and everything they go through to find their way to each other had me hooked.
And just when you think the story is over, the novellas continue, giving you the chance to see how the other pack members’ stories unfold and how they resolve their own issues.
I absolutely loved seeing everything come together, and the whole series felt so complete. If you love mates, wolves, drama, heartbreak and plenty of emotion, this is a definite must-read! 🐺❤️📚

Definitely worth the read
I read the series all at one time. It was great not having to wait for the next book but there were some very long nights.
I loved Henley’s no holds barred character. She was always true to herself. You don’t always see that in the main female character. I also liked that she had good friends and that they pranked her.
Roman is the type of man we all wish we could have. His love for Henley is epic.
Thank you Lola for the afterword after each book. I enjoyed them tremendously and appreciated the insights into your life. I also appreciated the two novellas. I always wonder what happens to the other characters.

This series I just love. It’s one of the first ones I read of Lola Glass and I have never been disappointed by her books. Read this series in its entirety. The characters are well developed, and the twists are sometimes really interesting exploring a lot of different perspectives and scenarios. I love Hen and Roman. I love the other couples and the group of friends. The girl relationships make me just as jealous with how great they are together.

This is most definitely the best series of Lola's that I have read. The characters of Henley and Roman really made my heart happy. I loved how Roman became such a wonderful mate for Henley and Henley who is such a survivor found Love after all. The follow-up stories with their friends made it so beautiful. I would recommend this to everyone who loves the supernatural in romance and intense bedroom scenes.

a little drawn out but good
I know this is technically 3 book in one. Lola glass usually does. Interconnected standalone books. This one the plot felt really dragged out and redundant for how long it was. I think it could have been shortened and edited into one book that was a little longer.. but definitely didn’t need to be 2 whole books. As always Lola glass does a fantastic job at sound family, some drama, and happy ever afters

Wolfsbane
I am so glad Lola changed the characters rewriting the stories. After all the abuse Henley needed someone who loved her for who she was. The 3 stories brought a nice closure for the friends and mates who fought and grew through their mistakes and attacks, and found such happiness in the end. ☺️

I loved this series from the second I started book 1. This author has some amazing world building skills. The world seems to come to life right in the page and the characters are so likeable. I couldn’t put this boxset down until I’d read every page. If werewolves are your thing, give this a go.

Such a great story
This might have the most in-depth character development I have ever read in a trilogy. The story is great, the main couple interesting, intense and laugh out loud sassy. The support characters are relatable and just as flawed and fabulous!

A love story for imperfect people
I recently reread the story, and novellas. This series is raw about trauma but still tells a story of hope and imperfection. Each character has their own development that they need to do throughout the series. Truely recommended this read.

The whole story!
I consumed the whole volume in 2 days of frantic reading and I thoroughly enjoyed the journey. In my opinion this is one of her best, if not her total best. Please write more!

Cozy read
Loved this series. Seeing the development of all the characters was brilliant and beautiful. Despite the dark undertones of Henley’s story it was a really cozy read all in all and I’m delighted to have picked it up!!

I truly enjoyed this series.
I am glad I found this one. Love her work. Liked that she included the novellas otherwise I would have continued to wonder about them. Plenty of suspense, playfulness & depth to these stories. Definitely worth the read.

I loved that all five books were together
Love the love story's! But what about Arla??? 😭. I'd love that story.

Interesting
