War rages in the lands of Light, and the Darkness seems to be winning. Cities fall as the mad player Lily leads her armies against them, and hordes of Shadowborn descend on the Lightborn, seeking their destruction and enslavement. The Dark Pantheon itself has taken up arms against Aranos and his party, and he has only days to finish Redeeming the Arcane Doors before his Quest fails - which means the end of Geltheriel and the defeat of the Light.
To overcome the Darkness, Aranos must delve deeper than he ever has into his arcane powers, but even his Primal magic may not be enough when the Darkbringer herself, Queen of the Dark Pantheon, stands against him. Only by transcending his mortal limits and understanding the deepest truths of Singularity can he hope to face the horrors opposing him. To save everyone, he may have to lose everything and everyone he loves...
What price will he pay to become the Sorcerer Eternal?
Kyle Johnson is a kids gymnastics and martial arts instructor who teaches outside of Chicago. He's worked on cruise ships, traveled the world, climbed glaciers, ziplined between mountains, and even danced in the end of a rainbow.

A fitting finale for Aranos and crew. Well done book. Well done series. If you are reading a review of book 7, but somehow didn't read the others, don't cheat yourself. Read the whole thing.
The author has given a lot of thought to the ending and it is brilliant , there are deaths , many of our favourite characters simply don't survive and what happens to those that do and how does it effect the relationships and bonds that have been formed. I would love to read further adventures of Jeff , the programmer who became the sorcerer Aramos killer of Gods.
Sorcerer Eternal is an amazing ending to the singularity online series. It takes our favorite characters and brings them into the final battle, a war for the entire realm and it doesn't disappoint. Loose ends are tied up, mysteries are revealed and final choices made. This is a fitting end to this wonderful series. Read it now!
This series is amazing. I'm honestly more than a little sad that its over. I hope that a continuation of this series from new characters perspectives or even if Jeff does embrace the singularity, I'll definitely be on the look out.
Brilliantly written an realized, fantastic characters, awesome story...BRAVO! Thank you, for this story Author! I am definitely on the lookout for more from these characters and this author!
Book 7 (and final entry) of a fantasy LitRPG or GameLIT series about a futuristic in-development VR system where people use it for a week or more to play in a D&D like fantasy world. This provided a decent conclusion to the series.
I ended up liking this series more than one with a similar premise called "Clan Dominance: Sleepless Ones" that I read earlier. Below are some comments I prepared on the overall Singularity Online series (light spoilers at most):
- Many books in this series have their own satisfying conclusion which I think is a rarity for a LitRPG series. - Lots of focus on progression including notifications the MC receives about new/upgraded skills, spells, perks, titles, and even mana types. - There is also quite a bit of focus on crafting systems that the MC uses to make overpowered equipment. There are some interesting city building mechanics that are similar to a 4X game. - This series has some outstanding platonic male/female relationships. - This series is mostly serious in that it does not get too silly. The humor is mostly light teasing between characters. - MC is very overpowered if that is a detraction for you but there are some explanations provided for that at least. The sorcerer class the MC picked is probably the main reason. - The MC is able to overcome challenges too frequently via what seems like willpower alone. - Sometimes characters give an angry little speech during a battle that just feels cheesy at times. - Some books in this series were darker than I was expecting. Lily's past traumatic experiences are horrific and she in turn does terrible things to other people/NPCs within the game.
So to be fair, the bad gal power up plot twist, within another power up plot twist, I could have done without at least one. It's been done so many times that doing it twice was... Excessive and a bit of a cliche.
HAVING SAID THAT.
The book was still amazing. The consequences to actions was handled wonderfully. The final decisions to let go. The actually GOOD plot twist with the pantheon all earned a 5*.
But the epilogue alone earned a second 5*. Fantastically done. Characters handled, repercussions, presents, teasers. I want 7 more books of the epilogue alone.
Wonderfully done, and an amazingly satisfying ending to the series. Thank you Mr. Johnson for the world you created!
In Ka, Aranos and Geltheriel are pushing the expiration date on their "impossible" quest to cleanse Geltheriel of the Darkness's corruption; while, IRL the end of Singularity Online's beta test is drawing to a close. Jeff and his online persona, both, must confront the uncertain future that could see both brought to ruin, or advancing to even greater accomplishments. Most importantly, for Jeff, his employer, and his nemesis; Lilly; will Jeff/Aranos achieve the Singularity? Does he even want to?
I haven't come across many series that keep the sheer enjoyment of reading through multiple books as this one does. From start to finish, book one through the seventh, it has been an epic story, filled with everything a great story needs... characters, emotions, actions, magic, and epic world building that ties it all together. Well done!
This book series has the most intricate system of magic and skills I’ve ever read. It’s amazing. The characters were written very well and it has a forever storyline for the two main characters. He can just write a million of these, as long as the characters progress. This is a novelist gold mine if he can churn these out.
It’s good to wrap this story up. VR stories are inherently limited, while still a nice diversion into what might be possible a century or two from now. The story ended in a good way. If food, it’d be fast food.
I don't usually leave reviews, but I just Loved the entire series! Very well written and character development. Shoot it even has me in tears towards the end. Highly recommend reading this serial!
A great ending to the series. The world building that had been going on for aaqll the other books comes full round and questions that you didn't even know to ask were answered
An amazing finish to a great series, willpower, destiny and the power of love guide a man on his quest to become the best possible person and bring all his friends with him.
I read all 7 books. They were amazing. I binge read them as fast as possible. I love the world and people the author has created. I look forward to more stories of Aranos and Galetheriel!
