This is our story, a story of abuse and neglect that spanned the childhoods of my siblings and I. Growing up without the love and support that children need, we each found our own way out of the darkness, dealing with things that no child should have to endure; we did what we could to fight back, to live, to survive, though sadly I am the only one left to tell the story.

A Legacy of Abuse and Neglect shines the light on the failures of the care system. It’s a harrowing true story of how six siblings grew up fighting for survival, abused by those who were entrusted with their care, passed from one place of violence to another until old enough to fend for themselves. This is my story, our story; it's a tale of suffering, betrayal and loss but also one of hope and survival, at least for some of us.
