This was a good read. Gemma and Liam meet at a wedding. Then things get messy when he says they are together. She loses her job and they actually end up going through with this plan. However, they did seem to fight a lot. Thankfully by the end they were happily in love and got their real happy ending.

The Wedding Dare was a story about who could play chicken better but instead of cars it was with a fake engagement/wedding.
Liam Barlow is a well-known beloved actor who comes from a wealthy family. He's in Charlotte to see his father and attend his family's annual charity fundraising event.
Gemma Harding is a remote writer for Bustier when she was sent to cover the Barlow Foundation’s fundraising party. While at the bar Liam comes up to order a drink. There they strike up a conversation when she asks him an unexpected question. After a few drinks and dancing they end the night in his hotel room spending an unforgettable night together but she slips out before he wakes up the next morning.
Months later she writes a story with information he thought he told her in private. In the story she was defending him against what others were saying but he was furious that she used details of their private conversation nonetheless so to get back at her he came up with a plan. He would announce they were engaged so she would get to feel what's like to have her privacy invaded.
That's when their story truly begins as they play a game of cat and mouse or more like chicken to see who calls quits first. They were both determined to be right as the fake wedding date was fast approaching. As their story progresses you can't help but be drawn to the drama, chemistry, twist, turns and the back and forth banter between them. Can they actually find their happily ever after or is someone setting out to sabotage everything?

The Wedding Dare is the seventeenth book in the Forbidden Temptation series and it is a great addition to it. The story is about Gemma Harding and Liam Barlow. He is a movie star and she is a journalist for a magazine. When her latest story has her interviewing Liam's father she also ends up getting an "up close and personal" experience with Liam also. The evening ends up not being "off the record" and Gemma writes about Liam in the article. Let's just say that he does not take it too well and not only decides to talk about it when he is being interviewed on a talk show. But he takes it a step further and announces that he and Gemma are engaged. The round robin of payback over the next several weeks ends up being more than interesting to see as they try to outdo each other. Before it is all over they will end up in more than one compromising position, and several satisfying others also!!!

This is a beautiful love story with a movie star, Liam and a writer for a magazine, Gemma who meet at his fathers annual charity event where she gets to interview his father. Later that night while at the bar Gemma meets Liam and they end up spending a wonderful night together for her to leave in the morning before Liam notices. Months later Gemma writes a story about Liam with a positive outlook towards Liam and he takes offense to her sharing a “private conversation” they had. Then Liam goes onto a talk show saying they are engaged to get back at Gemma only for this to set off several weeks of seeing who can get the other to admit the truth and win. These two have a genuine desire to be together and enjoy the life they are living as a real couple so when an unexpected evilness sets out to destroy their relationship. Gemma ends up publishing some of Liam's personal details that he shared with her during their night together and to get revenge he tells the world that they are engaged.
This ends up with Gemma loosing her job and in turn her apartment, but she decides to use the public declaration to her advantage. She needs somewhere to stay, so why not move in with her new "Fiancé" and play into the lie.
But what happens when Gemma wishes that their pretend relationship isn't pretend anymore, what happens when she realises that she wants to get married for real. Will Liam want to same as Gemma and what happens when he finds out about a secret she has.
I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it.

Gemma is a reporter and is having a drink a the bar while attending an event when she hears Liam Barlow ask for a drink. They start talking and he stays even though she tells him that she a reporter. They end up leaving together and share an amazing night. However, Liam finds out she wrote a story about what they had talked about and when he speaks to her he doesn't like her attitude. So to get back at her he goes on a talk show and says that she is his fiancé. By him doing this Gemma end up jobless and homeless. So, she goes to his apartment and gets herself in as his fiancé. Will Liam admit that he was lying about them being together? Or will the lie lead into something more between them?
This is an amazing story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Such a great romcom read
Where do I even start. I don’t want to rewrite the blurb. Ok here goes nothin.
Liam and Gemma’s chemistry was strong right from their first meet cute and night together. But in the morning they went there separate ways.
You see Liam is an actor, a celebrity and Gemma, she’s a journalist or trying to be. Their worlds really don’t fit, add in that he his older too. And smokn hot too.
Well due to some interesting turn of events, she loses her job because of him and so she decides to retaliate or should I say ….raise to the challenge. What ensues is some mad capped fun, lots of sparring and makeup sex. And what started as a bit of fun, a lark soon turns these two strangers into something so much more. But with a wedding looming will they confess their feelings or continue the farce.
Will have you giggling in your chair as you follow this loved up pair on this mad capped adventure that all started with a dare. Enjoy

The Wedding Dare was a fast-paced and quick read. It held my interest from the beginning. Both Liam and Gemma were good together and grew close fast. Their chemistry and attraction were off the charts and I loved how their fake wedding was getting planned with Gemma paying attention to all the details.
There were steamy moments but down to earth ones too. I liked their relationships with their family and friends. There were some twists and turns - some expected and some more out of the blue. There was nice closure with the epilogue and the second epilogue gave hints of what's to come in the next book.
Ms. Summers is an author who often takes me out of my comfort zone but I always come back for more.

Liam & Gemma's chance meeting when she was reporting at an event does not end after a night of passion it leads to a whole new drama. Their story starts when Liam finds out that Gemma has written some of the private details he had shared with her that night in the article she wrote so to get back at her by telling publicly on TV that they are engaged. Gemma is gobsmacked but is not taking this lying down preparing to get her own back. This lie, secret, fake wedding continues as neither backing down but along the way their relationship becomes more than just than just hot & steamy, sassy banter & emotions change.
I loved the story the characters & once I started reading I couldn't put it down hoping that the lie wasn't going to ruin them.

What follows is a high-intensity fake engagement with a few secrets and some very real feelings.
I loved the chemistry between our couple and the dynamic they had. I kept rooting for them to sort things out and admit what was really happening between them. I found myself immersed in their whirlwind.
This is a fast-paced and very steamy read and exactly what I expect from this author.

I loved, loved, loved Gemma. Liam was a but full of himself, but I eventually fell for him also as his character was more fully developed. I genuinely felt that they had chemistry as a couple even when Liam fought it

Gemma slips away before morning and he thinks they will never see each other. Weeks later he sees Gemma’s article and is furious she printed things that he told her in conversation. He decides to make her see how it feels by announcing they are engaged. Each tries to one up the other but what happens when you want it to be the truth.

The Wedding Dare. I absolutely fell in love with Gemma and Liam. There story was refreshing and different. It took my heart into so many different directions. First, I was surprised at their meeting. Then, I got angry at the lies they proceeded to spread. And finally my heart filled with joy when they truly fell in love and made things right with each other. Another amazing book by Sophia T Summers, she is such a great author. This book was so well written, that it felt like you were there watching. You could also see these things happening, they were realistic and such everyday topics. Loved how the story went and how the characters were. The characters Liam and Gemma were from different worlds, and their working life was totally opposite. However together playing a game of chicken, as in who will crack first was so good. Loved it from start to finish. Hooked and couldn't put it down. Highly recommend an amazing book.

The Wedding Dare is a hilarious romantic comedy about Gemma, a magazine journalist, and Liam, a film star, who met at a bar one evening. Since their private conversation was not “off the record’, Gemma writes a story about Liam who in turn spreads the rumor they are engaged on a television show as payback for her article. These actions result in a book with amazing characters, witty banter, laugh out loud humor, steamy chemistry, and a unique storyline. I highly recommend this well written and hilarious book.

OMG I fucking loved the shit out of this book! Liam and Gemma were seriously relationship goals! They had so much chemistry and it felt like the love growing between them was real! I loved Gemmas character because she was so strong, independent and naturally adorable! I love Liam because he just was such a complex character that was vulnerable in a way that was totally relatable. Sofia T. Summers did a great job building their fights and relationship dynamic. It was witty, adorable and overall just fantastic read! I don’t know how I got this book for free, but im so lucky I was able to read this!

This wonderfully entertaining story tells us how Gemma and Liam met and what happened afterwards. I just loved Liam and how he got his own back on Gemma for what she did.
Liam and Gemma first met at a charity event where they both felt an instant connection to each other. They ended the evening by spending the night together. The next morning Gemma left with no hint to him that she intended to write an article about him.
Liam is obviously upset about the article and so agrees to go on a talk show where he announces that Gemm has agreed to marry him.

I am glad I read this book on a weekend day, when I could carve out a few free hours, as once I start reading, it was difficult to take a break until I finished. There was enough drama, romance and steamy moments in the story to make it a worthwhile read. If you are looking for an awesome book to read, that will blow your mind as you keep turn the pages, then I will suggest you try this amazing piece of work from a talented author. Another definite must read book.

Who doesn’t love dares, but Liam takes it too far unknowingly that he met his match In Gemma as she gives as good as she gets.
So much uncertainty, but glad when it mattered the most they were both able to come up shining.
Absolute shocking reveal but I guess not so much a shock for us readers as opposed to Liam and Gemma finding out who it was.
Loved the sneak peak into Caroline’s story and can’t wait for that summer
getaway.

I couldn't believe the stunt that Liam pulled because he felt betrayed by Jemma after a one-night stand! And her reaction - to move into his home without him knowing... SO GREAT! They were fairly laid back, considering the stakes - but I loved it.
With no options left, they're forced to face the fact that the "fake" wedding dare has turned into some very real feelings.
Definitely an unexpectedly wonderful read!!.

In this book we meet Gemma Harding & Liam Barlow. These two meet at a charity event. The thing is things are said that night becomes public because Gemma is a reporter. 3***. This is a pretty good age-gap rom-com but it was a long read. The MMC, Liam, was 40 to the MFC, Gemma's 27 - so it wasn't a big difference. And, it's the usual "he's rich she's poor trope". Actually, Liam acts much younger than his age when he rashly plays a public deception and prank on Gemma. The entire story is based on this deception and how she retaliates. There's plenty of steam between the couple. It just takes a long time for them to realize they have strong feelings for each other.

Loved this entertaining read that was well written, humorous, steamy & the main characters were decidedly different. The heroine was borderline crazy, she couldn't resist poking the bear but she had no malicious intent. The hero was a famous film star but came across as a normal quirky guy, they were adorable as a couple. Highly recommended. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.

fascinating
This was not your standard fake love story. There was no one screaming, leaving or cursing. That is so refreshing. This is like a unicorn I have been dying to read for months now. The couple were so lifelike in their romance and trying to find their footing. I loved that Liam was adult enough to find himself his own worst enemy. I’m glad that Gemma helped him live a little.

What a wonderful story that grabbed my attention right at the beginning and I couldn't put it down. From the minute that Gemma and Lian met at the bar I was hooked. Their chemistry was over the top and their banter was hilarious and addictive. Great story line, wonderful characters and a great read that I didn't want to end. I read a free advance reader copy via Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review it.
