Book two of the Cerulean Lazulum series.

Magic changed my life. At first, it was for the better, bringing adventures, smiles, and even new friends. But I quickly learned that owning the magical Cavendish stone was far more dangerous than I could have imagined. That rock was why the devil kicked in my front door and then left despair and devastation in his wake.

Now I’m on the hunt for the rest of the Cerulean Lazulum stones and the two men who turned my world upside-down — one who stole my past, the other who could be my future. I’ve found myself in a race for survival that I am determined to win to keep an unknown darkness contained.

My name is Ivy Cavendish, and to protect the people I love, I’ll scour the world.

~ found family
~magic travel
~ fast-paced

What a great story. If you don't already know I am a huge fan of Cavendish (Book 1) I was excited to read Hawke. I loved every bit of it. I love the action and fast pace of the book. I loved seeing Ivy really grow through the whole book. I loved the found family in this book. Those dang twins have my heart. I laughed quite a few times in this book. Oh and Hunter was so dang dreamy. I also loved seeing more about his backstory as well. The spice was so good. I enjoyed traveling to some new places. The epilogue was too perfect. I really can't recommend this one enough.

Hawke is book 2 in The Cerulean Lazulum series/Duology. It is recommended for 18+. Hawke is out November 17th. I hope everyone gives this series a chance. If you are in need of a fast-paced, Urban Fantasy, spice, and a found family this book series is it.
I can't wait to see what Elle comes out with next.

✨ I received this book as ARC in exchange for my honest review. Thank you Elle for this amazing opportunity. ✨

After coming to terms with inheriting the magical Cavendish stone, Ivy Cavendish sets out on a world wide adventure to hunt down the one person that has already taken a loved one from her and who threatens to take another.

This was a fun read and a fantastic follow-up to Cavendish. I love the fact that with the Cerulean Lazulum stones, the characters have the ability to portal around the world (and...perhaps do more?), which easily allows for different scenes and settings. One moment you're with the characters sipping tea in Amsterdam, and the next your on the bays of Vietnam. The writing is detailed enough to make you feel like you're with Ivy and Hunter in their adventures, and thus creating the wanderlust in the reader, but not so unnecessarily descriptive that it slows the story down. As with Cavendish, you easily fall in love with the characters and their banter (again!). In Hawke, you get a little more background on a few characters, and still want to know more about them (personal request for a Ben novella!).

Highly recommend this series to anyone who loves urban-fantasy and romantic suspense with a good dose of spice!

Content Warnings: Violence, graphic language, on page s*x, loss of a loved one, attempted assault, depression, paranoia, and briefly mentions prior alcoholic behavior.

The book comes out on November 17 and will be available in ebook, paperback, and on Kindle Unlimited.

This is the second and last book of the serie. Much more fast paced and action paced than the first one. Time is running and they got to find a way to destroy Seth's plans.

With just a little spice to keep you entertained, Hawke is an urban fantasy about the risks of wanting too much power.

Gosh, where to start. Thank you Elle for giving me an eARC of this for my honest review.

So, I LOVED Cavendish (book 1). I read it in one sitting, in like 3 hours. Just could not stop. Elle writes in a way that makes it so easy to read her story. That was true for Cavendish and that is also true for Hawke. Hawke picks up pretty much right where Cavendish ends. Right into the action. I loved watching Ivy grow as a character in this one. She is so much stronger and confident in this book and it made my heart happy. Also, Bentley Hale. That is all. I love that nerdy twin.

This duology is such a great little urban fantasy adventure. The premise of it is unique, and I love that it has just enough of a fantasy aspect without overdoing the world building - which is what makes them such quick and easy reads (in a good way). I love all the characters we meet in this story and I have to say: one of my absolute favorite parts of Hawke was the couple Seth POVs we got. I enjoyed getting a peek inside his little psychopathic head.

The pace of this story is great. There really is no lolly-gagging here. No filler chapters. Reading this book was just so enjoyable. I really love how the story concluded, even though I want to read about this characters and how their lives go back to "normal" after everything FOREVER.

So if you want a fun story with just enough urban fantasy and romance, fun characters, and MAGIC PORTALS - look no further.

What a ride! Hawke picks up immediately with the action and throws us back into the CL world without a preamble. I adore Hunter; all his chapters are wrought with tension, and I read through them the fastest. The way he looks and thinks about Ivy....THIS MAN! Ivy is a tough nut to crack. She must be an earth sign. I'm getting strong Capricorn vibes from her. She's practical, but her stubbornness shines through in opportune moments, and she gets shit done. She is the perfect ying to Hunter's yang.

I loved Cavendish, but I loved Hawke even more! The prose in this book and the vivid settings were written perfectly, and I love all the travel elements. I could imagine myself in each of the places our main characters visited.

My critique is that some of the chapters moved slowly with how much world-building the stones needed, but other than that, it was a fun read!

Read this series if you love: urban fantasy, spice, friends to lovers trope, morally gray love interests, and HEA.

Thank you to the author for the opportunity to read an advanced e-version of this book in exchange for an honest review.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶 18+

So good! I loved it. This sequel was action-packed, a real page-turner and an all encompassing love story. It had a lot more action and magic than the first book did, and it was fantastic. There was also a chance for a lot more character development, which the author definitely took advantage of. You understood Seth’s motives and it made him a better villain for jt. Rhia was a great addition to the team and a real firecracker. I think this would be an awesome book to turn into a movie or tv adaptation - I’m thinking Ian Sommerholder (sp?) for Hunter… lol I will definitely be following this author’s career and work going forward.

-portal Magic
-found family
-action packed
-spicy scenes

****VAGUE SPOILER****
I was even on the edge of my seat reading the epilogue (I don’t trust happy endings, ok?) 😆 definitely recommend.

This book picks up right after Cavendish, and it was an exciting and fast paced read. I re-read Cavendish prior to starting this copy so that it was fresh in my mind, and thought it was perfect that we just hopped right back into the story. I really loved the found family feeling of the book and the relationship between the main characters, Ivy and Hunter (and also Bentley - he brought a smile to my face many times). I was on the edge of my seat and excited for every next step of their journey and as they searched for the rest of the stones. I enjoyed switching between the different characters POVs for the chapters, I thought it added a lot to the story. Seth is a wild one and it's an interesting addition to the story to get inside his head a bit.

I really enjoyed this duology and this book was a fun and exciting read.

Thank you to the author for providing me with a copy of the eARC in return for an unbiased review.

"Hawke" picks up where "Cavendish" left off and is a quick-paced wrap-up to the Cerulean Lazulum series.

I really enjoy the unique magic in this series and the travel element doesn't disappoint -- urban fantasy isn't my usual genre, but I definitely appreciate it! The finale is satisfying and brutal (even if for a split second I felt bad for the villian).

I will forever be #teambentley and I loved the addition of no-nonsense kick-ass Rhia to the mix, even if Elle left us curious about their relationship in the epilogue.

Overall, I would recommend this book for anyone looking for a quick read with high-stakes action with a healthy dose of spice!

Can't wait to see what Elle has in store for us next!

Hi, I’m Elle! I wrote this book, so I’m going to be a little biased, but let me tell you why you’ll love it.

💙 Urban Fantasy – Think magic in the real world. There isn’t heavy world-building, which makes it easy to dive into the story and get lost in the adventure. Just like in Cavendish, you'll get to explore the world a bit with Ivy and her friends.

💙 Romance – There are multiple swoon worthy moments that will have your heart pitter-pattering. There are a few hot and steamy moments too :)

💙 Laughter – There are loads of inside jokes between you and the characters. Plus, with the Hale twins you can always guarantee some witty one-liners.

Hawke is book two in a duology. I hope you love this story and the characters. If you do, or if you want to chat about the ending, come visit my Instagram account and tell me all about it. @ellethrasherauthor

Hawke was the perfect conclusion for this duology!

The book was more action packed than the first one, with a villain I really hated which I love. Being around Europe with these characters was so much fun and obviously spending time with my love Ben was wonderful.

I had some laughs and as a great suspenseful book, obviously the intensity to see where things were going. The ending really was perfection and I LOVED it.

I recommend this series to everyone who wants a nice contemporary suspenseful romance that won't break your brain but will keep you interested, with a splash of magic. THIS IS THE ONE.

Like Cavendish, this was another quick, fun read. In Hawke, Ivy finds herself on a mission, revenge in her heart for her grandma’s death. How will she stop Seth? What will happen between Ivy and Cade or Ivy and Hunter? What about the twins? You will get all of that and more! This book gave me more of the magical backstory I was left wanting in book 1. Plus, you’ve still got the banter and wit. Overall, I enjoyed this one.

I received this book as an eARC.

4.5⭐️rounded up!

This duology does not get the hype it deserves. As you know by now, I really liked Cavendish... but I 𝗟𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗗 Hawke.

This book has everything book 1 had... but more. More adventures, more action, more travels, more magic, more fun, more feels, a faster pace. More, more, more!

Goodbye cute and sweet, hello darkness (my old friend 😏🤭). Don’t get me wrong, there are still some sweet moments but compared to Cavendish, it’s really darker and I enjoyed it a lot.

So, if you like NA urban romantasy, you definitely should give this series a try!

Hawke is the second book in the Cavendish duology by Elle Thrasher and what an epic conclusion! While I am sad that these characters’ stories are coming to an end, Elle Thrasher masterfully completed her series.

Picking up a few months after the end of Cavendish, Hawke follows our cast of characters around the world in an epic mystery, urban fantasy plot. Ivy has shown so much character development and has so much more confidence! I do not want to spoil anything but I will say that I was so impressed with how Elle Thrasher wrapped up the plot in a realistic and satisfying conclusion. I highly recommend Hawke to readers seeking an epic, modern fantasy, new adult novel!

This book makes me want to travel!!! I want to have an amazing stone that takes me places!!!

Elle did a wonderful job finishing up this duology!! She gives us the ups and downs for picking up where our hearts were ripped out in book one… you can feel the pain, the stressors and the anxieties! But we also get the chance to get to know our twins a little better (man those boys are yummy!) I loved the flow of this book and the epilogue 🥹….

This is a good quick read with a contemporary/urban fantasy feel. It was a perfect palate cleanser between heavy fantasy/dark fantasy reads!
