My summer was planned from packing lists to trip itineraries. Or so I’d thought.
It’s the night before my trip abroad, and my boyfriend Matt showed up at a party with another girl. The boyfriend I’m supposed to spend seven weeks with in Brazil.
No way can I board that plane.
With my trip tickets ripped up and the money down the drain, I owe my parents big-time. The only job hiring is Teed Off!, the driving range that just-so-happens to employ Matt’s trio of best friends.
Matt’s friends don’t like my presence on their artificial turf, so pranking me becomes their second part-time job. They definitely don’t want me winning the bonus money our boss is offering for an idea to improve the business.
By chance on a summer night, Matt’s head crony best friend Aidan is there for me when no one else is around. Turns out, he and Matt haven’t been close for a while. Aidan begins to see through to the real me—the me I’d kept from Matt to be the person I’ve always longed to be—popular with a boyfriend, all according to plan.
As the summer unfolds, our secrets unravel.

i had such high hopes....but it just was cringey!😖 Lila was honestly the worst of all the characters! she was like innocent and sweet and annoying! like I'm sorry but girl no🙃 i can even relate to a lot of her issues and stuff and I still couldn't get though some of the stuff she was saying lol. Aiden was annoying too. it was supposed to be enemies to lovers and it was such a sudden turn that I did not even realize that we were supposed to like Aiden now until way later! not to mention the whole book was boring! I'm not even sure what the point was? idk, but I would not recommend! i did think her standing up to Matt was so satisfying, but i also couldn't stand her "friendship" with Natalie. it felt very fake and almost one sided? i also didn't really like her parents, they seemed kinda off? idk but yeaaa!!
Pages: 309 Language: 🤭 TW⚠️: cheating, drinking, partying Genre: YA romance Format I read: Kindle Unlimited Would I recommend to others: Noooo
This is a ya romance so it wasn’t very complex or the most exciting but it was really sweet. I wish I would’ve read something like this while I was in high school. It really made me think of high school me
Be yourself, everyone else is taken. I wish I'd read this book in High School, in fact it should be required reading! This quick fun read is filled with meaning and fun well written characters. The meaning isn't overly sold as it's mixed with geeky fun and frolics. Grab this book for single sitting read and while away a summer with romance, robots and golf. Thanks to Voracious Reads and Stephanie J Scott for the chance to read and review.
I ALMOST DNF’d this one around 40% done. It was just so slow and painful. The end picked up really quickly though and I finally started to like the main character. Though I felt like the mini golf thing was brushed off too quickly at the end, the rest of it was pretty good. A great coming of age story, that would be good for high schoolers as they are just figuring out who they are too. Plus it emphasizes that nerds can be cool too, which I think is awesome.
This story was loads of fun. I really enjoyed this story. It was addictive, full of plot twists and it offered thoughtful lessons, as well. The story is written from Lila Vaughn’s perspective and there are moments of humour, despite the fears she has to face. I particularly like the phrases, ‘…shuddering awake from semi-retirement’ when talking about her scooter. And the inside of her head ‘feeling like a broken blender.’ Think we can all relate to that when we are feeling a little overwhelmed or attempting to solve a problem. I received this book for free and voluntarily reviewed it through the Voracious Readers Programme. Thank you.
sweet. cozy. cheesy! enemies! to! lovers! all in the best way possible.
this book brought me right back to high school and i was kind of liking this summer she was having (it was way better than mine anyways).
lila is a sweet girl who seems to have trouble realizing what she wants or who she wants to be. she is constantly trapped under the idea of being accepted and accepting herself. this journey takes us through her thoughts but also her development as a person.
we all have had that time during high school where we wanted to desperately to fit in that we forgot to hang on to the most important part of our true-selves. this story does the same thing to its readers, and it reminds us that, that true person still lies within you. the person you should be is the one that will make YOURSELF proud in the end.
it had such important points on accepting and learning with yourself while also realizing that there are endless possibilities out there.
stick to the people that love you and they’ll accept you no matter what.
as for aidan, what a man you are. this enemies to lovers was so strong but also so sweet that i barely even registered that i was supposed to “hate” him. either way, the dorkiest and sweetest guy that he is, he makes you fall so hard!
glad to have read this and wish i would have read it during high school to remind myself that deep down, the world wasn’t going to end and yes i was being overdramatic. 🤭
Enemies to lovers: ✓ Sweet summer love: ✓ Loveable characters: ✓ Minimal PDA: ✓ A quick read to get you out of a reading slump: ✓
5/5 definitely recommend!
A super enjoyable book and I'm so excited for the rest of the series!!
One of my favourite things about all last summer was how normal and realistic the characters were written. Both Lila and Aiden were realistic depictions of what teens actually think and do. Loved the dialogue and how natural the conversations flowed. Thankfully Aiden was not some stuck-up jerk or bully that had a sob story and needed the girl to "fix him" which unfortunately is a repetitive theme in YA novels. Aiden's character was a breath of fresh air from the usual YA books and I would LOVE a book written from his POV! I just really wish the book was a little bit longer because I finished it in under 2 hours XD
I don’t really care too much for this book therefore I won’t put much effort into this review. Deeply sorry🙏
It was a really sweet, light YA book, nothing too special. The only reason I rounded the stars up to 3 was because the book was kind of flowy and the MMC was really sweet and is a walking green flag. Although they were all very cringey to me, which now kinda makes me want to put it back to 2 stars. I switched it back. Anyway, I did not like the FMC, in some situations she seemed emotionally immature and apathetic to me. I don’t know if I would call the plot a plot, whatever this was, did not captivate me to the point I had to put the book on hold for a couple of weeks. I feel like a 12 year old would really like it, which i’m not, but this is only my personal opinion.
I couldn't stop reading! The romance build up, the drama that was depicted so quickly yet with just the right amount of detail at the beginning...all the geeky things, real friendships starting and the power of honesty and transparency. Delightful...although I think the moped sounds awesome.
This book is the definition of a three-star book. Nothing about it was bad. There just was a level of story that I felt was missing.
There were a lot of places where conflict happened, but nothing really felt like it was dire. Or it was resolved by coincidence off-page. I just wanted there to be some issues that unfolded. I wanted there to be fighting or actual punishments. It took till the end of the book for anything bad to actually happen to anyone or any actual drama to occur. And I know this author knows how to write it, because she started out the book with a bang! Lila finding out Matt was cheating on her and throwing his medal in the fire and all that! That was great! And the fight at the end where she was chewing Matt out. Golden! But there were so many blah moments in the middle that I had to drag myself through. I hope it changes throughout the rest of the series. I unfortunately will not be reading the rest.
I felt this accurately depicted the teenage temptation to hide who you really are and act in a way which you think will make people like you. An easy, quick read. I wanted to give the main character a hug as she was so hard on herself all of the time and was treated horribly but a certain male character. I enjoyed seeing her gradually being more honest and authentic with others throughout the book.
This book was so cute it was enemies to lovers and I was absolutely on my knees for Aiden because he say her for who she was so cute .highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
All Last Summer is the first book in a new summer series. It is also the first book I have read by Stephanie Scott. I actually really enjoyed this story. I thought it was unpredictable and a bit relatable. Clean YA romance with some PDA. Lila was supposed to go on a trip to Brazil with her boyfriend Matt. Unfortunately things did not turn out the way Lila always planned it. Lila is a planner; she makes lists and has a ton of notebooks full of them. Lila finds out that Matt has been cheating on her with another girl; I honestly loved the reaction Lila had especially with his swim medal. She decides to cancel the trip but now her and her parents are out a ton of money. They are of military background so they make her pay it back by getting a job. The closest one to her house though is the same place Matt and his 'cronies' have jobs. Lila ends up getting the job but his friends don't take it very well and end up pranking her/making things a little harder for her. Things progress for the better though and she starts to see his friends in a better light especially Aidan. I actually really liked Aidan once Lila got to know him. He was the complete opposite of Matt which is what Lila needed. I loved the character and relationship development in this book between Lila, Mason, Dan, and Aidan. I really was not expecting the twist and turns that this story took. It's a little hard to say more without giving too much away but I felt that certain things were unpredictable to me. I was glad that people got what they deserved at the end but for others it was a HEA(in more ways than one). Excited to read the second one and maybe see more of these characters in the second book!
I think that the main character's development could have been super good but the author just HAD to bring in the love interest. I also thought that the love interest was way too good for her which the relationship as a whole is pretty problematic. (I mean I really don't think I need to explain that.) But it is a YA romance so what do you expect. I did like that the love interest wasn't like some cool jock or whatever he was different which was nice. But yeah I mean if you need a quick easy read that isn't lifelike at all, toxic relationships throughout the whole book, and where you don't root for the main character during the whole book and hate her this is the book for you.
I really enjoyed "All Last Summer" by Stephanie J. Scott. This is the first book I've read by this author and I quickly became a fan. I love the clean YA romance. It's refreshing to read a storyline that felt like I was watching a fun romantic comedy movie with ups and downs and well-written engaging characters. This book isn't as predictable as I thought it was going to be and I loved it. Can't wait to see what happens in the second book. This book is a great addition to your book collection. Happy Reading...enjoy!
I am giving this 4 stars because the romance between Lila and Aiden started in quite an expected way (maybe I do not read enough ex-bf's best friend novels, but I liked it).

Some parts were so unbelievably cringey, I would make a face lol. Not much to say because this was pretty underwhelming. It was bearable, but not really good.
This YA romance is super awesome. I loved the characters so much. There was amazing chemistry and romance. Loved the kissing scenes. Highly recommend this novel.
