Her experience in practical leadership, team development and strategic thinking was honed at Brilla Schools, the pioneering public charter-school network in the Bronx. As chief of schools / superintendent, she led Brilla's growth from one school to five, built on a vision of all in staff and family involvement in support of student achievement. LaVigne holds a master's degree in Education from Hunter College and a bachelor's in Business Administration, with an emphasis in leadership development, from the University of Southern California.
