It was better than the first in this series but the author lost the plot near the end. I was super over the Chaz storyline and the mom storyline by that point but the author decided that was the hill she wanted to die on. Totally ruined the book with all the absurdity.

A pro tip for authors the villains in your story don’t have to be evil caricatures of a villain for us to understand they are the bad guys. Less is more.

So, I was only going to give.this three stars but I had to throw in an extra one for the correct usages of the words "cum and come", if you know, you know!

The reason for three stars is because first, the mother doesn't receive any punishment. Nothing. She gets to carrying destroying lives and not.taking any consequences for her actions other than a smack or two. I'm against violence against women and even I would have knocked.her fucking block.off. permanently!

Second, we get no closure on chaz. Why was he so obsessed?
They didn't explain it so now we are.left.with a gaping hole. A guessing game. Not even a cliffhanger. Just zero info.
All stalkers have a reason for their obsession... It may not make sense to US but there is always a reason.. So what was his?

All in all it was a good book.

The plot of this book was awesome! We meet Scarlett right away. She is an Omega and coming up on an age where an Omega should be married by now. Transferred to a school as far away from her wealth obsessed, absurd mother - she is determined to become an Omega for more than just popping out babies.
When she discovers she was picked by a group to be wed, she never expected it to be one of her professors she's been lusting after. More than that, their seemed to be a discrepancy on her application and she is unsure if the pack will still want her when she comes clean. But what happens when Scarlett is finally happy and her mother and another Alpha are determined to ruin it all?

Adrian, Jonah, Dominic, Ezra and Leo of Pack Hart know the age difference is unexpected, but the heart wants what the heart wants. Will they be able to keep their Omega that fits perfectly in their life or will they be forced to give her up because of societal norms? Will the younger alpha pack that is also trying to win Scarlett over be able to get what they feel are deserved?

I enjoyed this Omegaverse story a lot. I had not read book 1 yet and although I was a little confused about Scarlett's sisters background - it was not complicated to figure out and I was left loving the individual story. This book CAN be read as a standalone!

This insta-love story was cute, unpredictable and I loved the plot! The steam was off the charts - although was left with my jaw dropped at the strap-on scene. lol. I was not expecting that. haha. I did not see all of that coming with the other Alphas and Scarlett's mother. I hope her mother "gets hers" in the future books! She's in definite need of it! lol

*Overall 4.5/5
*Heat? 5/5
*Fast Burn
*Multiple first person POV
*No MM, but had a strap-on scene. lol
*Insta-love
*Ends in HFN!

DNF at 77% because I couldn’t take it anymore. It is extremely rare that I DNF books. I really wanted to like this book but it was painful to read. The connection between characters seemed awkward and forced and there was very little genuine chemistry in the sex scenes. There were also way too many instances of “conflict” and it got boring and predictable. How many times can they say “I’ll make sure this never happens to her again” only for it to happen again a few pages later. It demeaned their Alpha qualities and seemed like they made a lot of threats but didn’t actually do anything to fix it. Also how many times are they going to have sex in public when they know people are watching them?? How are you going to say things have to be kept secret but are all over campus not really being secretive at all? There were so many holes that it took me out of the story and I wasn’t able to connect with the characters, I was just annoyed. The book could have been half the size and then maybe it would have helped.

This wasn't great but also wasn't terrible.

Pros:
-I've always liked an age gap. Add in the fact that these five guys work at her college and one of them is her current professor....hehehe
-She acclimates to her situation really quickly. No FMC in denial here, bless
-There was an attempt at a diverse group of guys with different personalities. Didn't hit the mark though.
-The scene where she's horny in class and texting the guys is probably my favorite haha.

Con:
-Book length. Did not need to be that long. But also, understand the choice so she gets SOME 1-1 time with each guy.
-Each guy. Basically carbon copies of each other. They're great dudes, but indistinguishable.
-They say seed out loud. I hate that, thanks.
-World building was a little muddy.

I wish I could have a flag on authors when looking at books.... Idk what it is about this authors books but every time I get excited over a synapse of a book and start to read it... I just fall off and can't even force myself to finish reading. I think I've made it through one book and it was such a struggle that I started to get deja vu when reading .... Then come to find out most of the omegaverse books I struggle with is hers.😬 Most of them are just awkward and annoying. The themes are all basically the same. The mom did something horrid and starts the Fmc on their path to struggles.

DNF at 78%!!
There was so much wrong with this book I just couldn't keep going.
Detailed list below with some spoilers:

1. Scarlett is annoying as FUCK! Easily in my top 3 for worst FMC!
2. For how old the Alphas were I found every one of them to be so immature! Especially Leo and Dom. I could tolerate Jonah, although I found him very whiny! I like my alphas broody, angry, protective, and a bit unhinged. 🤣 These alphas were boring, lacked personalities, and so immature for being so much older than her. They acted more like her peers than her professors.
3. Her mother! I get an evil mother. But this one was just ANNOYING. And 99% of the time she was involved in the book made zero sense.
4. And the reason why I couldn't keep reading! The CORNINESS of this book!!! HOLY SMOKES! The way they all talked! Especially the alphas! The scene where Dom confronted Paul had me chuckling like I was watching a hokey 90s Power Ranger episode "You don’t blackmail Pack Hart without consequence. I think you underestimate our power and think too goddamn highly of yourself. Have you forgotten your true place? A reject. Only given a position of power to shut up your whining. You’re nothing, and if you think you can hurt my omega or my pack, you’re wrong."My biggest issue with the book was the writing style. It's the main reason I didn't give it 5 stars. I really enjoyed the plot but struggled with the writing." I know this was supposed to come off protective, but really only came off corny and dramatic.
5. The instalove!! I've never read an omegaverse book without angst. They're usually a story where the omega is thrust into a relationship VIA the government, arranged marriage, or scent matched. But never have I read a book where there is very little angst or trouble with the aphlas accepting her into the pack. Jonah gave a little bit of pushback. But that was all. 40% into the book, they're professing their undying love to one another! Blahhhh!
6. And I won't even go into the sex scenes.... MY GOD. I honestly couldn't even read them. After getting through the first few minutes of each one, I just had to skim. They were AWFUL, CORNY AF, and annoying. Not even something I could find even a little bit enjoyable to read. I honestly read it cringing!

All in all, the plot wasn't awful. I'd give it 3 stars.

It was ok

Interesting idea. Some really bad villains who i wish will get what they deserve and MCs who were likable.

I appreciated how open-minded Scarlett was and how devoted the guys were. They made the best out of an unexpected situation and I’m happy for them after everything. Unfortunately I didn’t actually connect with the characters. I very much felt like I was reading about them and not feeling for them.

It was my first book by Ginna Moran so maybe I’ll give her another chance as I think there’s potential there.

Obsessed. This was SO good. I couldn't put it down!

Okay, so I was right, I hate the Mom even more than I did the last book. She's awful. I was super disappointed the dads didn't stick up for Scarlett either.

But oooo, professor/student relationship?! Omega pretending to be a beta? A crazy, psycho stalker? This book had a bit of everything and I couldn't put it down!

Definitely loving this shared world series.

Scarlett is a shy omega disguising her self as a beta to finish her education. Her mom sets her up to meet her new pack. She was not expecting the crazy adventure and the enemies they were all about to encounter. This book will play with all your emotions. Loved Scarlett and her alphas.

I love a shared world and this was no different. Scarlett is awesome her unwillingness to conform and the growth she goes through in the book make her an amazing FMC. Plenty of steam with super sweet and caring guys. The threat going through the book was also really gripping. Can't wait to read the rest of the sisters' stories

Very dramatic, in a great way. This Omegaverse book has both an excellent plot, as well as a high level of steam. The characters are well written and complex. The antagonists progressively get worse. If you like Alphas/Omegas then this book is for you

loved everything about this… until the end

I get that this series will feature all seven Steele girls, so the evil mother needs to stay around to continue to be a plot device. I understand the motivation to keep her. HOWEVER….

You spent the last three chapters with our FMC monologuing about how she and her pack were going to make big changes for the equality of omegas. How important it was that they move forward and fight the Good fight for omegas everywhere!

So… why didn’t they? They had evil omega Steele dead to rights. They had evidence and recordings that she was selling her daughter, had her kidnapped, and a host of other illegal, immoral and insane acts. They even already had a meeting set with Pack Carlisle Ready to go!

And they just let her go. They did absolutely nothing. Even worse, they left the younger, vulnerable omega sisters IN HER CUSTODY. they are enabling her to harm the FMC’s “beloved” sisters. They do absolutely nothing to protect those girls.

I lost respect for literally everyone involved in the story. I absolutely hate when an author slaughters the character of our heroes in the final hour.

I really enjoyed the story right up until they all agreed to endanger minors and abandon her sisters in harms way.

**Please note: I try not to spoiler anything, but I can't guarantee it. It's possible that there are some spoilers, or something that is considered too revealing. So, be aware!**

I really support it, when authors collaborate and work together and create a universe with different characters. I have read book one by SK Reign, too. The only thing I expect is, that everything fits together.

It mostly does with this one. Though, it is really lengthy with 516 pages. I don't complain about it, but I think it could have been shorter and some things were unnecessary. And it has some of the problems I had with the first book too. It's a lot of talking, which prolonged the plot. And then there is a lot of angst in the background. Though, the progress is naturally.

I liked Scarlett as a character, too. She is sweet and shy. And with her 21/22 years, she is of course a bit naive and full of insecurities. And a lot of that comes from her childhood. Considering what kind of mother she has, I don't wonder about that. I really wished she would have stood up for herself more.

And her guys were great, too. Loving and caring. And they support her. Of course, there were issues at first. As I said. The progress is naturally, including their relationships.

But they fit together. Overall, the characters in the book were all complex, and so they felt vibrant to me.

So, there isn't much to complain on that front. But I wasn't happy with the book either. It's always contradicted to me, when I enjoy a book, but I noticed I get tired of the story itself. That's a sign for me, that there is something with the book, that I don't enjoy or like. Or just doesn't fit for me.

As I mentioned at the beginning. The length and the prolonged plot wasn't for me. Then there is Sage Steele. I didn't like the mother in the first book, but here she hit it off. She lets her daughter kidnap and sold her to that psychopath Chaz. In the first book, I knew she was selfish. But I didn't get the impression, that she is that calloused and put her daughters with unworthy and unhinged males. Just for money.

And it is not believable, that Scarlett let her mother off the hook after what happened. There should have been consequences for her. And it's not only her mother. I don't get the fathers, either. Though, I only saw one of them in this book. In the first one, they weren't present once. In the first book, I thought the sisters have a better relationship with them. And that they only work too much, and aren't able to see what Sage does to them. But after that book, I had another impression. And I don't believe, that even if they work so much, that they don't recognize what kind of woman Sage Steele is and how she abused their children over the years. Never ever. Their fathers don't care either, as it seems.

Which makes it sad. Regarding the sisters. I think they love each other, but I don't understand why they would allow their mother to treat them that way. Another thing that I can't believe is, that Scarlett had the perfect opportunity to help her sisters escape with turning their mother in, and just didn't do it.

I mean, she and her Alphas talk about to change the world and the life of Omegas. But in the end, they didn't do much. They changed only a lot for the University. But that's it.

Overall, I liked it, and it was well written, but I'm glad it is over. Let's see what the next book has in store.

I usually only write reviews when I really love a book and feel as if the book and author truly deserve it. I want people to know and experience the same joy I felt while reading. Even when finishing a bad book that I didn’t enjoy, I don’t write bad reviews because I don’t ever feeling strongly enough that it warrants it.

But this will have to be the exception…. I cannot recommend to anyone enough to NOT read this book. When starting I felt it had a lot of potential to be great, I kept reading with the hope that it would get better but I was constantly disappointed at every turn.
I got the impression from the MMCs actions that they just wanted her to mold to their expectations and wants despite them saying the opposite. First they wanted her to drop out of school a semester away from graduating to accommodate them and their careers. Only 1 of them later said that was unfair, so instead they would just hide their relationship from all and continue to do so and choose hiding their relationship and careers over the FMC even when the FMC was in danger. The FMC was constantly being stalked and threatened while her “mates” continued to do doing nothing to help or protect her. The FMC was offered her first paying job for her art skills and when telling one of her “mates” he dismissed and disregarded her achievement while lying to her about other things. Said mate proceeds to never apologize for his dismissal of her achievements and feelings. I could go on and on with examples….

Then what really had my fuming was the FMCs mother, she was awful and seems she will continue to be awful with no consequences to her heinous actions.
The mother (sage) was a greedy and selfish women that accepted a marriage on the FMC behalf without her knowledge, then blackmailed them all for money later, and proceeded turned everyone (authorities/ruling packs) against them when she decided the outcome was NOT what she was hoping.
Hired people to kidnap the FMC on her wedding day to give her to her stalker, and was there when the stalker physically hurt her and threatened to kill her unborn child. Sage didn’t protest at all until they tried to not pay her.
I completely understand there needs to be an antagonist and an obstacle for the main characters to overcome. BUTTT when the antagonist doesn’t face ANY, absolutely no consequences for their actions and they are free to continue those awful actions with the excuse that they didn’t turn her in because her husband (also awful) and children (the FMCS sister, that also hate their mother) “need” her. That’s absolutely ridiculous to me, why wouldn’t the FMC want to turn her in the protect her sisters future from what just happened to her. It really lowered my entire opinion of all the characters.

With that said, I truly wish I could wipe this book from my mind, so while that isn’t an option for me hopefully I gave enough feedback for anyone who feels the same about what they do and don’t enjoy reading, and I hopefully save you from the same mistake I made.

If this review made you feel this is a good fit for you, awesome, everyone likes different things so happy reading!

If you are more like me, and these things set you off too (lol), please, save yourself.

Ginna Moran has quickly won a space in my book-loving heart. Knotty Lessons is the second book in this multi-author series and is the second book I've read of Moran and now I'm hooked on both the series and the author. I absolutely loved this book, sexy alphas, a nerdy but flirty omega, and a whole lot of steam and drama. Hecks yeah! Where the first book in the series, Secrets and Seductions (Violet Steele's story) by S.K. Reign was more emotional based, dealing with secrets and lies, Knotty Lessons is action-packed.

I like Scarlett, she's sweet and flirty, if a bit naive she still tries to be what her parents want her to be, that perfect omega. Scarlett has one thing for herself, she's an artist, she expresses herself through her art which her parents could care less about but she's able to bond with her new alphas through that shared passion. Something that could have been hard and awkward was smoothed over through that shared passion. The guys fell almost instantly and Scarlett was comfortable being herself right away and started breaking out of that societal omega mold. They don't have fated mates in this world but I would swear that this group was, that's how well they fit together.

It was hard to remember that the guys are all older than Scarlett. They have young hearts, are playful while showing respect and care towards Scarlett and are obviously knowledgeable about life, and have their own ideas about how society should treat omegas. The guys are sweet, ensuring Scarlett is comfortable and making sure she is making decisions based on what she wants. The chemistry between them is undeniable, they really set the pages on fire. The chemistry isn't just between Scarlett and them, this does have MM. I love all of them, no complaints whatsoever, I would take them all.

As I said before this book is action-packed but there's still an emotional side. The new pack is great it's the outside threats that are the issue for Pack Hart. The Steele family is a hot mess. The girls are crazy (can't blame them) but likable, the mom a money-grubbing "omega", while the dads only think about themselves. Sage (Mama) Steele is up to her scheming ways causing trouble for Scarlett and the guys, the dads are useless, and a stalker comes into play. Things get real intense and I loved every second of it.

Knotty Lessons was great! That Ending was one helluva wild ride, talk about drama. I so loved it. Age gap, sex toys, professor-student relationships, blackmail, pack politics, threats, bribery, dom/sub, attacks, high heat, stalking, and more. One thing I can say this book wasn't boring. Scarlett and the guys went through a lot together but hung in there to get their HEA. I loved Scarlett's story. That's two Bond sisters, five more to go.

This is my first listen by this author, I went into this series of standalones blind and only knew it was an omegaverse and a different sister was focused on in each book. I listened to the audiobook and knew I was going to like it based on the narrators alone haha. I have listened to a lot of books by them and they always do a good job bringing the characters to life and really digging deep for some of the more emotional moments. Both did that here with all the high octane scenes with the stalker involved and bad things kept happening to the pack or to Scarlett. I will say what would keep me from giving the narrator 5 stars is the accent issues I was hearing. So Ezra had one but not all the time. That would make me think Ezra wasn’t in the scene but he ended up being there (just sans accent). I think if that had been fixed I would have rounded the narration up to 5.

In terms of the story, I love student/teacher tropes (so yummy!!!) and this one did not disappoint. I liked that aspect of the story, I liked how different all the guys were (I did have an issue trying to remember who had what courses haha). I think Ezra was my favorite and Dom was a close second. I love the cuddly ones or the super protective ones haha, and these 2 fit the bill. I also loved the small bits of M/M thrown in and the role reversal for Scarlett as an omega with one of the alphas. I thought the steam was great, good mix with the plot. I wanted to destroy Scarlett’s mother. This was the first book I have read or listened to so I am not sure if one of the earlier books had more about her, but boy I need her to have some karmic justice because she is a horrible individual who deserves al the things coming to her. I also was really upset by her fathers, I don’t think they can be redeemed in my eyes after what the mom put her through and they all just allowed it. I did think some of the storyline was repetitive and I think kinda stalled it too much with the progression.

Overall I did enjoy it, I am already listening to another in the series on audio because I want to know more about these omegas. I would give both the story and narration 4 stars. I loved the play on “older alphas”, I appreciated the different personalities within the harem, and I loved how they supported her (after she had to give them a piece of her mind) and wanted to cherish and protect her. I would die for an group of guys like this one, Scarlett is one lucky lady 😍

The couple: Adrian/Leo/Dominic/Jonah/Ezra and Scarlett

Romance trope: omegaverse; rh
Series: Bonds of Steele
Length: 516 pages

Plot: Scarlett is an omega at university, pretending to be a beta so that she can get the education she desperately wants. But her mother has arranged a pack for her and she is swiftly sent to them. She doesn't have far to go though; they are all on campus. It turns out that there was a mistake and she was given to a much older pack, including her literature professor, an art professor, an athletics director, a math professor, and a finance director. They are a good group of guys, but there is still the matter of getting to know each other. That's not the most important thing, though; because of their positions on campus they need to keep their relationship secret, but someone else knows and is determined to use it against them. And Scarlett's mother is not certain she wants her to have that pack after all.

Commentary:
The one downer for me in this story was the one-dimensional aspect of the villains. The mother/Chaz story kept getting more and more ridiculous and there was no explanation for either of them except for the implication that they were both insane. That could be a reason, but how has the mother functioned all this time that way, and none of the dads said anything? Supposedly she gets all this attention because of her fertility, but nobody notices.
Other than that, though, this was actually a pretty sweet story. The guys love her to distraction and would do anything to spoil and adore her. I love that I didn't have to wade past pages of torture and angst - that stuff is okay sometimes, but not all the time! I didn't really care for the Domme-like scene with Adrian and Leo and Scarlett, but I could skip past that easily enough.

Grammar/formatting: some of the dialogue was very stilted (contractions would have solved most of the problems)

Previous book in the series: Secrets & Seduction
Next book in the series: The Scent of Deception

This was pretty good! The tension and angst I was feeling had my jaw clenched. I hate their mom after book 1, but this one took it to a whole other level. I really hope she gets some karma in one of the later books cause that woman needs to be publicly disgraced and abandoned by her entire family. She’s truly awful. The book was a litttttle bit too long, parts of the middle felt kinda dragged out to me and I started to skim some of the more flowery moments, but the last 25% of the book really had me on the edge of my seat. I also enjoyed the characters and the plot line which wasn’t a very ‘typical’ ABO story set up.

If you’re reading this as a series, it’s definitely important to keep in mind that it’s a shared universe with different authors. Because of this, there are some inconsistencies in the world set up. In book 1, which followed Violet, we’re told that packs bond during heat with a bite that makes it permanent and legal. And only infertility or death can end it. There is no talk about weddings as an important part of this legality. In this book, the wedding is the important part to make things official and the bonding can happen separately in advance but doesn’t seem to rely on the heat timing to be official either. It’s also unclear on if bond marks are permanent or required for the bonding in this book. I’ve read some other shared universes and these kind of inconsistencies in world building are pretty common for this style of series, but I can see how this would annoy a reader. I feel like certain world ‘rules’ should be established and agreed upon by authors and the biological aspects of ABO are so varied for different authors that when you’re doing a shared universe you really need to clearly define them and use them consistently across the books.

Not so knotty....

Lets start out with: I enjoyed this book but I wasn't a huge fan. Its not that it was a bad book. The plot was like most omega and alpha books but with a little twist. Scarlett needs to be married to a pack by a certain time or her mother doesn't continue to get money. At least that's what I got from it. So her mother makes her a profile on this database to find her a pack. But for some reason no one wants her, the only reason given was that she didn't look good on paper..that she was boring. Finally, after getting close to this supposed cut off for the money, A pack shows interest. They pay the dowry and get scarlett. I want to point out that later in the book it claims that they don't pay for Scarlett but then what is the dowry? Anywho they get her and immediately find out she isn't as old as the profile says. Apparently her mother lied on it which is just the beginning to the lying psychotic behavior we see from her mom. So like I said, the plot was pretty decent, I guess it was just the execution of it. There never seemed to be a motive for why the things were happening . Or maybe it just wasn't a good enough answer for me. The action kept you on your toes but toward the end of the book it just became a little outrageous. Like how were they getting away with all of this stuff without anyone believing them. Like all the evidence points to this but it wasn't good enough? Finally was the steamy scenes. Now don't get me wrong, some were pretty hot and I enjoyed those. However some were just a little cringy. I think its adorable how much they love and cherish their omega but the repetition of those words in single scenes became overwhelming. Overall I think it was a good book but maybe not for me. If your looking for a reverse harem age gap romance, with stalking(not in the harem), and some steamy scenes then this could be for you.

I just hope they can see me as more than a student. If they can’t, this won’t work out. I won’t have a pack. I’ll face a life of rejection.

Scarlett Steele was happy living in the background and working towards her art degree, however Scarlett’s mother is about to change her life and for better or worse.

Only it seems Scarlett's profile had one little slip-up and not only that her new alpha’s are her teachers…but they were all led to believe that she was older then the student before them.

“You’re forbidden to me, but how can I deny you?”

“You can’t.”

Scarlett may be young but she is turning out to be the perfect omega for this pack and this only makes each of them stronger. Park Hart, however, can't enjoy their new formed pack as others are turning their heads and some seek to claim something that isn’t there to take.

I don’t care how long it takes. She is my omega, and she’s my future.

High tension in and outside of the bedroom, with older commanding-yet caring males, blossoming talented omega and wholesome love that comes across on each page this story will wrap you up. I loved each of these characters, they each had their own identity and love that was shown with each of them.

The Steele mother Sage…well, we already know she’s a piece of work from the last story-trust me she was only just warming up! Even though she’s only really a side character, Sage certainly knows how to play the game.

Then add in an undercurrent of mystery with another character and you look forward to seeing how this all unfolds.

A great addition to this series!

“You are ours. Ours.”

“And you’re all mine.”

Amazing Addition
This is a cracking addition to the Bonds of Steele Omegaverse shared world 😃
Scarlett is one of the Steele sisters, they’re famous for essentially being seven omega sisters when fertility is poor - which means along with being an omega, that brings its own rules and regulations, se needs to set a precedent for others and her sisters! 😬
After very little interest in her Scarlett begins to fear she maybe an unwanted omega and fears that she will end up rejected! Sequestered away in a university where her mother has largely dictated her classes she’s still trying to foster her artistic aspirations!
With an engagement sprung on her, it’s a whole ethical mess when it turns out her betrothed pack are her professors and work at the uni 🙈
Despite some apprehension on both sides they soon realise how perfect they are for each other and boy are these alphas smitten with their omega 🥰🥰 honestly the feels in this one are just 💗💗and the knotting and nesting is 🥵🥵 they really help Scarlett grew from a timid omega always doing what was expected to finding her own voice and carving her own path with hew newfound family 😁
Yet their happy ever after is consistently jeopardised by another student who just doesn’t understand no means no and his place in the world, along with the Steeles mother who is an absolute b&@£! 🤬 there’s a lot of drama and angst created by these outside forces but it creates a really dynamic story 👍🏻
A really heartwarming standalone packed with everything you want from an Omegaverse ☺️

Knotty Lessons, part of the Bonds of Steele Omegaverse by Ginna Moran, is the perfect age-gap, student/professor insta-love omegaverse romance for anyone that loves omegaverse romances full of action, suspense, steamy heat and of course lots of knotting. What happens when one tiny typo is made on an application? Apparently an unexpected romance with lots of spice, steam and even suspense when a stalker gets involved!

Scarlett is a young, beautiful, shy omega that just wants to have a normal life, but still please her family and do what’s expected of her. Having been passed over by multiple packs, she is still looking for one to call their own—until she’s finally selected by a pack due to one simple typo that leads the guys of Pack Hart to think she’s actually older than she is…when really she’s a student at their school! So now they have to try and keep their match a secret…and protect their omega from someone crazy trying to destroy their pack.

I absolutely loved Scarlett and all her men and how their story unfolded and seeing Scarlett evolve into a strong female lead, one that even though she has her alphas there to wait on her, is quite capable of taking care of herself if need be. I love that Scarlett fights for what she wants and never gives up and that the multiple POVs allowed us a chance to see the story unfold for all of their views and not just Scarlett’s.

If you’re a fan of OTT possessive older alphas with breeding kinks and a love of role playing and all things hot and steamy then this is the one for you because Moran knows how to bring the heat!!!

A great mix to create a gripping story.

This is the second book I read in the Bonds of Steele multi author series and I love the fresh take on the family.

Having a different author do each of the sisters was a great idea. It truly feels like it’s being told from the individual because the insight is different across the series of standalones. I have read out of order and feel their may be slight spoilers for the other sisters but hasn’t taken away from the story.

This one is in an academic like contemporary setting but with adults. The men being older than her with established careers. The story is a mix of hope, love, angst, drama, betrayals and fighting for a happily ever after.

And yes this pack gets there happily ever after.

The mom of Pack Steele is not the good guy in any way and a very well created villain. Thing only thing I needed more from this story was tying up the loose ends of what happened to the parents, the rest of Pack Broderick and Pack Miller and Rip. It felt unfinished in that area since such much drama was created around them.

Otherwise I loved the art element, the love and acceptance of Pack Hart and their chemistry created with Scarlett.

A RH nonshifting, omegaverse with knotting and pregnancy trope.

Multiple povs told in first person.

Characters-
Scarlett - omega from Pack Steele
Pack Hart alphas - Adrian, Leo, Dominic, Adrian and Jonah

Steam - hot, knotting

Triggers - this is dark and you should definitely check trigger warnings, st@lking, vi0lence, parental @buse

DNF at over 50% through audiobook, so no stars. If I had to hear about how the heroine was a "stupendous", "accomplished" or "remarkable woman" one more time, my eyes would have rolled back in my head and stuck there.

The female audiobook reader was fantastic and really emoted. The male reader only emoted anger well. He made all of the almost interchangeable alphas sound very same-y. I never knew who was talking until they used their unique, cringey nickname for Scarlett, like Leo. She hates Chaz instantly when he sees her nude drawings and calls her "Dickasso" (like Picasso), but when one of her Alpha's sees the pics a few minutes later and insists on calling her "Dirty Girl" because of it, she likes it. Yuck. There is nothing shameful in an artist sketching nudes.

There is a lack of worldbuilding that makes it so that the men immediately decide that they are professionals who will NOT disclose with the College they work at that they are contracting marriage with a student. They need to keep it top secret until she graduates. This means that they send her out, as an Omega in heat, with no scent blockers. They constantly hang out with her in public and have sex on campus in unlocked classrooms. They promise to protect her, and never do. Communication is their enemy.

They bad guys are cartoonishly evil, and as I've read in other reviews, are not properly punished. What?

The love is instant and ridiculous. The plot is only holes. You mean this pack basically looked at a resume for Scarlett, saw she was listed as 31 years old, saw that she "liked art" and they were like "yes, this is the accomplished woman we want". The evil mom couldn't sell her daughter to any pack, even though her daughters are the most desired omegas of their generation, and she never revamped the resume? Never tweaked that puppy and noticed the mistake in age? Everything that makes this plot run depends on every character being a moron at all times.

I will look up the female audiobook reader, but the author is horrid and banned.

Knotty Lessons is book two of the Bonds of Steel Omegaverse series of interconnected standalones. This book is everything you could ever want in an omegaverse! It has older, sweet but protective alphas, an omega that just wants to bond with her alphas and live a happy life, and some suspense and danger thrown in. Oh, and lots and lots of spice!

Scarlett is an omega that is living as a beta so she can go to college and get away from her mother. When she finds out that a pack has chosen her for their omega she is surprise but also happy. Then she finds out that they are professors at her college.

The alphas of Pack Hart are finally in a place in their lives where they are ready to bond with an omega and start a family. They want a more experienced omega so she will be closer to their age. When they find out that Scarlett is only 21 they are shocked because her application stated that she was 31. But they decide that they like Scarlett and don’t care about her age.

Scarlett’s mother is a meddling omega that is only concerned about herself and how much she can get out of her omega daughters. She starts causing all kinds of problems for Scarlett and her new pack. She really awful and can’t imagine a mother treating her children as possessions to be sold off!

I absolutely loved this book and reading about another Steele sister! I can’t wait for the rest of this series and get the other sisters stories.

3.5 stars, great writing.

Scarlett, disguised as beta, is finishing up her school. Her mom informs her that she found a pack for her. When Scarlett meets her pack she finds out that they are older professors in her school. She is happy with the match and all the men are real gentlemen. She mentions the age error to her mom and her mom tried to break them apart because she didn't realize her profile had an error and as such Scarlett could fetch more money.
I liked the actio and I loved how Scarlett's character was potrayed. When i came to her sexuality, she was not a shy virgin girl but a curious woman who had sexual experiences before meeting her alphas. She was also speaking her mind and not submissive, and lastly my favorite part is that she fought for what she wanted. The men very sweet, respectful, and loving but somehow they were coming off a tad but too weak and not enough "alpha" for me when it came to her safety. However, I stilled liked all of them and their mentality on letting Scarlett chose what is best for her and encouraging her to be her own person and not a brainwashed omega.

Not 4 stars for me as I had some questions left when it came to her fathers. For example, it was mentioned that alphas make all the decisions but often times her mom is the only one in charge. What happened to all of her dads, weren't they concerned for her at all?? Why isn't her mom punished at all? It felt unanswered.
