Trix

I've lived my life in the dark since the very day I was born, but that's what happened when you're abandoned in front of a fire station at two days old. I was put into the state system and eventually after no interest, I was transferred to an orphanage. It's where my life became hell until I was old enough to age out of the system. Since then, I've made a life for myself.

It wasn't easy, but I did it. I persevered, went through some tough shit, and made it through.

I assumed I wouldn't have any more tough conflicts in my life, but the moment the Sons of Gods MC made it their mission to knowingly keep the truth from my best friend, I lost it. I told her the truth and while I know the club's intentions were good, I couldn't let them lie to her. Not when she'd already been through so much.

Only, as I stood up for telling the truth to one of my friends, I was faced with a hard decision with another: keep my growing relationship a secret, or tell Gemma I was sleeping with her brother.

I didn't want to lose her, and I didn't want to lose him.

Pan

I never intended on being with Trix, but she was a spitfire I couldn't keep my hands off. She pushed me at every point and argued with me just as much. She was a woman who didn't bend her will to appease others, and I respected that the most about her.

We went from hating each other for a while to being each other's resident bedmates. I couldn't imagine another woman in my bed and I didn't want to.

At the same time we were creating something between the two of us, things with the club were blowing up. Our Prez was shot, the man responsible evading us at every turn, and our sales were down. We all knew who was responsible for it and we just had to find him.

We'd find him one way or another, and when we did, the entire club would have vengeance for what he did. I don't know who's a bigger threat: Thorn, or Gemma.

This is book two of this series and leaves you with a HEA. This one held my attention more than the first one did, although I have enjoyed both books so far. Each book in this series can be read as a standalone, but they are better read in order to get the full effect of what challenges the whole club goes through. This is a bit darker than book one, so if you have any triggers, take caution.

With the way that Pan and Trixie interacted in book one, I had hoped that they would get together. I must say that I was jealous of Trixie and her culinary skills. I have always wanted to be that artistic. I love the chemistry between these two and how they connected no matter how hard they tried to deny it.

I loved that even though Trixie had to face her horrible past, she was able to get justice for what was done to her. I do wish that we would’ve gotten more of Pan’s history though. There were multiple times that he talked about wearing a mask, and how no one knew there were dark sides to him. We don’t get the answers to what happened to him that causes his darkness or why, until Trixie, he never wanted to settle down. I loved that he was dedicated to the club and respected Trixie enough not to push her for information on her past, but I wanted more of his past.

I loved all of the side characters in the club and Trixie’s roommates. I liked Gemma in book one, even though I thought was being a huge hypocrite near the end of book one and half of this book as well. I lost my like for her when she reacted to the way she did with Pan and Trixie about their relationship. She did redeem herself to me when she took matters into her own hands to stand up and protect Trixie when she was confronted by her past.

I am excited to read book three to see how the hunt continues for the trouble brewing for the Sons of Gods MC. With the little tid bit of hints we get near the end of this book, I’m curious to see what Zeus’ history is and what the next adventure will be.

I received an advanced readers copy via Booksprout. These thoughts and opinions are my own and left voluntarily after reading for my own personal enjoyment.

3.75stars--ERODE is the second instalment in the contemporary, adult SONS OF GOD erotic, MC romance series co-authored by Elizabeth Knox and JH Wolfe. This is Pan and baker Trix’s story line. ERODE can be read as a stand alone but for back story and cohesion I recommend reading book one EROTIC as many of the events of the current timeline are as a direct result from the events of book one.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers. If you have not read book one, there may be spoilers in my review

Told from dual first person perspectives (Pan and Trix) ERODE follows in the aftermath of the attack on the Sons of God MC wherein MC president Zeus was injured, struggling to survive, and his daughter Calli was abducted and forced at the hands of the Vile Serpents MC. Three months of recovery finds Zeus’ return to power, seeking vengeance for everything that went down, a vengeance that doesn’t go as well as planned. Meanwhile, Pan and Trix continue to dance around one another, a dance that isn’t appreciated by Pan’s sister Gemma. As Trix and Pan’s relationship continues to build, Trix’ past comes back, hoping to pick up where they left off.

The relationship between Trix and Pan begins as a dance of attraction but a tempestuous dance as Pan is both hot and cold where it involves our story line heroine. Trix isn’t asking for a happily ever after but sometimes life has other plans on its’ own. The $ex scenes are provocative and intense.

Once, again, there is a large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters including most of the Sons of God MC members. We are also introduced to Calli’s mother, who continues to struggle with Calli and her father’s building relationship.

ERODE is a story of friendships, relationships and love; revenge and retribution, acceptance and family. The fast paced premise is dramatic and entertaining and captivating; the romance is edgy; the characters are dynamic and determined.

Erode is another intense, suspenseful addition to the Sons of Gods MC series by J.H. Wolfe/Elizabeth Knox. The story picks up after Zeus has been gunned down by Thorn and Callie is recovering from being tortured by Thorn leaving the club in chaos.

You will be hooked from the past page with all of the club drama surrounding Pan and Trix's turbulent journey. The Sons of Gods MC is dealing with turmoil and drama surrounding the club after Zeus has been shot by Thorn, Pres of the Vile Serpents MC. With Hade as acting President he tells Pan he has to find the location of the Vile Serpents MC as they have seemed to have gone underground before they attack again. Trix is best friends with Gemma Pan's sister and roommate along with Pearl and Callie who is the daughter of Zeus and is a friend of the club. Trix had a hard life left as a baby at a fire station ending up in an orphanage where she was abused and now suffers from PTSD. Her relationship with Pan starts off on the wrong foot, when newly patched Pan who is loyal to his club is told by the acting President to keep a secret from Eros and Callie regarding Zeus's health at first he resists but Pan will not go against his club. When Trix overhears she gets angry as she hates lies, takes it upon herself to tell Callie the truth causing more problems. Trix with her contemptuous behavior towards Pan each time she sees him, leaves Pan wondering what he could have done to her. When Pan finally confronts her, he learns what she has heard, he tells her that his loyalty to his club comes first and he would never go against orders from his President. Trix with all of her sass, she can't seem to understand his loyalty to his club family. As they start to drink, these two will make amends and end up in a relationship that is intense, hot and full of passion, but they have a problem, Pan's sister Gemma. Now Gemma does not want her friend with her brother and is putting a strain on their relationship as well as her other three roommates, but Pan and Trix continue as the love between them develops into something more as Pan claims her as his. When she opens up and tells Pan about her past and the secret she has kept hidden and her PTSD, will Pan be able to save her when her past returns? With all of the twists and turns in this story, Zeus returns to the clubhouse to heal, will the club ever end the threat by Thorn who is still out to destroy the Sons of Gods MC and Pan and Trix finally have it all as their family expands. Can't wait for the next book to learn if Zeus and his wife will ever resolve their issues and Gemma what is she hiding? This series is outstanding and is a must read .

Erode is the second book in the Sons of Gods series.
If you want to fully understand this story, you'll need to read Erotic (first book in the series).

In this volume, we meet up with Trixie and Pan.
Trixie is one of Callista's roommates and Pan's sister Gemma.
Pan has recently been patched up.
This book picks up the story a few months after Calli's rescue, and Pan and Trixie's relationship isn't going so well.
Trixie, who overhears a conversation between Pan and Hades, blames Pan for lying to Callista.
Despite the tension between them, they can't deny their attraction and end up starting a relationship.
But their relationship is fraught with pitfalls, between Pan's sister Gemma, Trixie's past and so on...

When Trixie's past catches up with her, it's not Pan who takes the lead in dealing with the problem, but her sister Gemma, and I have to admit I'm a bit puzzled. These men are supposed to be real alpha-protectors...

I was disappointed by this tome. Not much happens in this story, which is really centered on Trixie and Pan's relationship.
We learn a little more about Trixie's past and the things she's been through, but we learn nothing about Pan. He says several times that he has this noiceur, but we have no idea where it comes from, and we never get a glimpse of what he really means by it.

There's a bigger imbalance in this tome, which is really too Trixie-centric. At the end of my reading I felt I didn't know any more about Pan than we already knew after reading the first book.
It's a 2,5 stars for me. It's good, but really not what I expect from an MC romance.

I'll be reading the third volume for sure, because I want to know Zeus's story, but I hope the story will be more balanced.

This is a very intriguing series and the authors have given us another exceptional storyline in book 2, Erode, Pan and Thix story. It’s packed full of suspense, thrills, romance along with lots of heartfelt motions that kept this reader glued to the pages.

Pan is a newly patched member of the Sons of Gods MC and loves every aspect of it. He lives for the brotherhood and everything being in the MC entails. Including doing what he’s told even when he doesn’t totally agree with it. That is the predicament he finds himself in with Thix, one of his sister’s (Gemma) roommates and a woman he is wildly attracted to. You see, Thix overhears part of a conversation between Pan and the club’s VP which included the VP telling Pan to keep it a secret to everyone about the Prez’s condition after being shot in the chest, specifically telling him not to tell the Prez’s daughter Calli. While Pan disagrees with not telling Calli, he knows he has to do what he is told. Well Thix, due to her past, doesn't tolerate lies. So she tells Calli the truth and refuses to hear Pan’s side of the story about why he didn’t tell her himself. But what happens when she finally gives in and hears him out? Is a relationship in their future? Will having a relationship with Pan destroy her friendship with his sister? When trouble finds the club's doors will Thix handle being told its club business and he can’t tell her what she wants to know?

I loved reading about Pan and Thix’s story, as well as the events happening with the club, and this reader can’t wait to see what happens next with the Sons of God MC.

This book is the second in a new series by Knox. The first book was great; this one is even better. This one is a bit darker in some ways, although the resolution is more positive. The heroine went through a lot of horrible things prior to the events of the story and is still dealing with PTSD.
Here’s the breakdown:
MMC/FMC- Pan and Trix
POV- 1st person dual
Genre- MC Romance
Heat level- they do the things and name the parts, including the P word
Cliffhanger? N
HEA/HFN? Y
Triggers- violence, discussion of s. abuse of a minor (but it’s not detailed or fetishized), abuse, language, explicit erotic content
Tropes- It’s Just a Flesh Wound, Best Friend’s Brother/Sister’s Best Friend
What I liked- I really enjoyed this book. I love that it’s not a story about overcoming abuse: the heroine has already been through therapy. However, the book was realistic in that PTSD continues for the rest of the survivor’s life. In the story, the heroine is triggered by both expected and unexpected events. It was a relief that the s. abuse wasn’t described, detailed, or fetishized.
I liked the main characters and felt that they were complex. I loved the HEA because it felt like after everything she’d been through, the heroine in particular deserved a HEA.
What I didn’t- nothing much. I loved the book. Yes, the sister was over the top in her anger, but I understand that this drives the story.
Verdict- highly recommended. The book stands out.

MC Best Friend’s Brother

Trix and Gemma were not only best friends but they were roommates along with Calli and Pearl. Calli’s father is the Prez for the Sons of Gods MC and after the last book in this series we see he was struggling for his life after being shot by Thorn who is Prez of the Vile Serpents MC. Gemma’s brother Pan is also a member of the Sons of God has been asked by the acting Prez to keep a secret as to not tell Calli about her father’s health. Trix overhears this and not only thinks this is wrong that Pan keep this secret but she tells Calli herself. Pan and Trix have this pull none the less and Pan is trying to convince Trix that he HAS to follow orders.

They have a lot of hurdles to overcome one of which is Gemma and the other is letting Pan into her deepest, darkest past. It’s her past that has found her now again and Pan is out to protect her at no cost. Pan is also dealing with club business since the hunt is on for Thorn and the Vile Serpents MC.

For me this was a one sit read that had me totally enthralled. The MC drama was great as well as the drama of the friends brother situation. The chemistry between Pan and Trix was hot and this book had a great HEA for the couple. I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next book in this series.

I love this series. This story centers around Pan and Trix. Trix has a strong exterior and it is hard to get through her walls. Pan has worked his way past those walls and she doesn’t know what to do. She has her small circle of friends who she considers family. She doesn’t want to do anything that will take that away. That is why she tries to stay away from Pan. He is her roommates older brother she knows if she were to go for Pan, she could lose one of her best friends. The pull between Pan and Trix os so strong that it makes her want to throw caution to the wind. What happens when her past comes back to haunt her and what happens when secrets are exposed? I was taken through many emotions reading this. I can’t wait to read the next Gods book and I really want to know if Zeus is going to get his wife back or not. So many twists in these books and I love it. There is angst, suspense, action, secrets, lies, truths revealed and lust/love. I just couldn’t put it down once I started.

I could definitely tell the difference between the writer's. That is what happens when you know Knox and Wolfe's writing like I do. I like what each individual brought to the page. I recommend this book.

About the book:
Pan has been a member of the MC for a little while. He is not an officer, but does what needs done, and has earned his patch. He is a bit of a jokester, and tries not to let people see what is beneath. Pan believes he has to much turmoil to make someone happy, but that changes when Trixie gives him crap.

Trixie is a beautiful, tough, passionate woman. She has had a very rough upbringing, that has given her a no bs fuse. When she overhears something in the clubhouse, her opinion of Pan changes drastically. I will say, these two are very fiery, and definitely do not take crap off of each other.

Trix is a little fireball, she’s had a hard life already. She was abandoned as a new born then sent through the orphanage system. She has faced trauma both physical and emotional at others hands. She feels like she’s found a family now with the MC club and her friends Calli and Gemma. She doesn’t trust easily and she’s very particular about who she hangs out with and right now Gemma’s brother is on her list of NO’s. She discovered he was lying and that’s a definite NO as far as she’s concerned. Pan slowly gets back in her good graces and the fireworks start. I love he chemistry these two have as Pan slowly learns what Trix has been through and vows to keep her safe from the dangers out there. She discovers you can pick your family, and she feels like she’s found one with her friends who are now her family. They will protect and defend her at all cost. Erode is great addition to the Sons of Gods MC series by J.H. Wolfe and Elizabeth Knox. This book picks up where Erotic (Sons of Gods Book 1) leaves off. Definitely not a standalone, but this entire series is available on Kindle Unlimited so a free read with your subscription. Pan is a newly patched member of the Sons of Gods MC. He loves the brotherhood and enjoys all the brothers. Trix seems like a strong, tough women, but she has had a horrendous life. Abandoned as a baby and raised in an orphanage, she loves her friends dearly. Pan is her roommates older brother she knows if she were to go for Pan, she could lose one of her best friends. Even though they are attracted to each other, she holds back. This book is full of sizzle, steam, twists, turns, betrayal, lies, and more. Great Read and I can't wait for book 3.

Arc Review

What an opening prologue. In order to understand though, you need to read book 1 ‘Erotic”. This is a series and they flow through.

Trix - beautiful, bubbly, 20-something. Underneath a world of darkness.
Pan - Gemma‘s brother, part of the sons of Gods MC.

Won’t spoil, as there is more within the story surrounding Trix. How will she be accepted by Pan? What will happen? Will her past be an issue?

Calli, Eros and Zeus still continuation from book 1 main storyline.
Question, - though can imagine the horrors Calli survived There has not been an extension of her kidnapping.
Greek mythology, respect, club rules are a standard, in any MC.

May cause triggers for some readers. Trix’s life was never a bed of roses. Her life is full of scars. Trusting the system is not always as it appears. Certain people abuse the innocent, and now her nightmare has returned.

No cliffhanger.

After Zeus was attacked and shot in chest, Hades has taken over the MC until Zeus out of hospital. Pan is looking into the club who attacked him per Hades' orders. Vile Serpents and leader Thorn have gone to ground...Pan coming and going to clubhouse where he frequently sees a woman, he doesn't quite trust, but she is Zeus' daughter Callie's and his sister Gemma's roommate, Trixie or Trix as she's called. She was left at firehouse as infant, in foster care, but ended up in horrendous orphanage so she does have trust issues herself, seeing Pan as player and liar who says whatever he needs to get what he wants...but could proximity lead to more?? You will need to read this twisting tale to see what happens...I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is the second book in this incredible series, and this is Pan and Trix’s journey. Trix has had a tough life, and she is a little spitfire, who is attracted to her best friends’ brother Pan. Pan is a playboy, who is drawn to Trix, and she knows how to push his buttons, and they have a love / hate relationship. Pan will do whatever he must to keep Trix safe and protected. The chemistry between these two is off the charts and undeniable. This is a well written story which had challenges, truths, family, friendships, vengeance, enemies, drama, tension, emotions, and love, which leads to a steamy and addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this gifted author whose work I highly recommend.

Pan meet Trix when he went over to his sister to help with a repair. Flirty word and stolen glances but that was about it because of his sister. Trix hate liars more than anything, so when Pan did not tell Calli everything about her dad, that was it.

Pan did what he had to for the club, trying to get Trix off his mind did not work, instead she found her way under her skin. Now he needs to decide what path he want to take.

Trix and Pan's story is the second book in the series, it picks up after the first and continues with the danger as they try to find the MC that took Calli and shot their Prez. Add in Trix childhood trauma that shows up in the least expected place. Good thing for Pan's sister.

Great read.

Trix (roommate of Gemma and Callie) had a rough childhood – growing up an orphan and left at an orphanage where bad things happened to the young girls, has a wall built around her. However, ever since Pan and Eros came over to fix the plumbing issue, her and Pan have been flirting with each other and things were getting hot. Gemma did not want anything to happen between the two because she knew how her brother was and didn’t want to lose their friendship. Something about Trix drew Pan in – unlike any other woman has before. She is feisty and sassy!

The past catches up with Trix, the Vile Serpents are still causing trouble and both Trix and Pan reveal secrets to each other and learn to trust and overcome the challenges that they are facing.

Trixie has never had a family, until her friends Gemma and Calli, she was abused by people who were supposed to help her growing up. She has no tolerance for lies. When she hears Pan talking to VP about keeping Calli’s dad’s condition from her, she sees red. She knows there intentions are good but it is important to be honest, so she tells her friend.

Pan never expected his sister’s friend would get his blood pumping, he just cannot keep his hands off her. They went from arguing to burning up the bed sheets. They were keeping that information away from his sister, Gemma. She was not sure which one she feared losing more, Gemma or Pan.

This is an awesome MC romance read. The Sons of Gods MC is in turmoil after Zeus, the Prez, has been shot and Calli who was abused and tortured by Thorn, the prez of the Vile Serpents MC. Pan and Trix have been dancing around one another and flirting, but when the club keeps Zeus’s condition a secret from Calli, she gets mad at Pan and argues with him. Pan is Gemma’s brother and her best friend. Trix has secrets from her childhood and growing up in an orphanage which turned out to be more of a torture chamber than a loving and caring establishment. Good storyline with plenty of danger and suspense and these two finally finding the happy ending they deserve. Loved it.

Part of the Sons of Gods MC series, this book is not intended to be read as a standalone as it builds on the previous book.

Trix has not had an easy life growing up in foster care. She has dealt with a lot of unpleasant things and still has PTSD episodes.

Pan is Trix's roommate Gemma's brother. Pan is definitely interested in Trix, but has a lot he has to take care of at the club after the events of book one. He is entrusted with a secret about Zeus, Cali's father and Trix overhears. She is very upset that he won't tell Cali, so she does.

Will they be able to move past this and have a happy future together?.

This is the 2nd book in the Sons of Gods MC series featuring the fast-paced action-packed enemies to lovers romance between Pan and Trix. Their story actually started in the first book Erotic so that when we begin there's still anger between them. Before you knew it their anger turned into white HOT passion that combusted between them. There is drama, action, secrets and twists and turns that keep you turning the pages to see what's going to happen next. You really need to read this fast-paced action-packed enemies to lovers romance to see what happens. I would recommend reading this book and I'm looking forward to the next book in this AMAZING series!!.

Trix and Pan take you on a read, with load of twist, turns, emotions, with a side darkness that you wont see coming. These two gitmit off but when he has to lie because his prez Zeus told him, it puts a block between for little while, but when things heat up they could find they need each other more than they thought. When they start to open up to each other her past is dark and unpleasant. When they have to tell his sister things are little unsettled between, hopefully they can get past it. When her past comes and slaps her in the face will she be able to take her stand? Will they fix everything that is revealed? Will a surprise push them together or apart? An absolutely amazing full of everything. These two are made for each they just have to see it. Can't wait to read the next.

I liked how this story was picked up again and linked the housemates with the MC.

Trix was a puzzle to unravel and very emotive as a character with strong moral feelings about truth and honesty. Pan and she were on fire for much of this book and took turns stoking the flames ever higher.

I found Gemma an annoyance in this book with her switching between accepting/hating Trix and Pan being together and holding on to her anger over this for longer than seemed reasonable really

I liked where the story here is going within the MC and look forward to the next in series.

Every book of Elizabeth Knox that I have read has been fantastic. I love this new MC she is writing. This is book 2 so far, the characters are great. I love the dynamic between everyone. Elizabeth is building an interest with even the characters who aren’t the main focus of this book. When their time comes for their book you will know more about them and how they fit within the group. Pan and the Sons of God are definitely the Alpha male type. Trip is no wall flower and these two are Fire together! Hope we see more with Gemma she’s gonna be trouble!.

So this was a really tame book for an MC, it was a story about an orphaned girl who finds friendships with an MC family, it starts off with a lot of not friendly vibes from Pan and Trixie but all that anger leads to some really hot chemistry. Gemma is Pans sister who doesn’t really take to Pan and Trixies relationship but Pan shows us that he really does love Trixie, especially after they welcome a son, there is so much still yet I answered about where is Thorn and who is Gemma seeing so much yet to be written and I can’t wait.

I loved this book it was awesome, the author Elizabeth Knox has really brought these characters to life again, this book was just as good as the first book and has continued to make the characters Trix and Pan come to life. It is a love hate relationship and her best friends brother. Pan is the Prez of an MC club and now they are trying to find the person who shot the Prez. This book was a Dark, Mythology, Dark Romance, with the Dark MC Club. I loved it.

Pan has always been the playboy of the club and Trix has an abusive childhood from the orphanage she grew up in but they can not help buy be attracted to each other. His sister Gemma is not happy about their relationship because she knows how her brother is and does not want Trix hurt and to lose her friendship if things go badly because Trix is also one of her roommates. Between their relationship and hunting down Thorn the MC's enemy their is much going on in this second book. Can not wait to read the book.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. This book is a good addition to the Sons Of Gods MC series. Trix and Pan are both attracted to each but there are issues that come between them. Honesty, baggage, club life, family and enemies all contribute in different ways to their chances of being together. Trix will have to trust Pan about the things she doesn't understand. He'll have to balance club, family and show her that they do have a future together. No one will have her back and love her like Pan would. Their story pulls you in and keeps you interested to the end.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Erode is Pan and Thix's story. This is a great addition to Sons of Gods MC series. The book held my attention as I read straight through. I love the action but the characters are my favorite. They are all unique and multi-faceted. While reading I thought I had figured out the story but was pleasantly surprised by the twists. Pan and Thix's chemistry is steamy and they are perfect for each other. Thix has been through lots of bad but she came through it a fighter. I love that Pan will protect her.

Great read that went fast with an interesting plot and characters that you won't forget.
