This is a new author for me and the start of a new series. I'll be honest and say that I didn't much like Elijah or Malcolm come to think about it at the beginning, and I am pleased to say I did by the end. For me personally, I would have liked to have seen more of Elijah and Ava's relationship growing as the story ended sooner than I'd have liked, I would have also liked to have seen what happened next for Safe Haven, as it was what brought them together. I liked seeing life from both their worlds and the support they gave each other.

This is a well written book with strong characters in Ava and Elijah. They don't start off on the right foot but he's determined to have her. The author brings a sizzling hot romance filled with suspense and sass. She paints her scenes in vivid detail and does a great job pulling you in with the story line. It moves quickly and smoothly and is a great read.

I enjoyed this short story told in alternating views from Ava and Elijah. I enjoyed meeting the characters but would have liked more about Safe Haven, given that was the name of the story.
I found there was too many detailed sex scenes for my liking - I prefer more of the story line. I got really interested in the scenes with Sarah - but they went too quickly. Overall it was an entertaining short read.
