TV reporter, Lacey Aniston, has been an enemy to Gabby since high school. When Lacey calls Gabby for help, she wants to say no at first. But Gabby uses her psychic gift to help people, that includes Lacey.
Lacey's sister has been kidnapped and it will take Gabby and her gift along with Dustin and Lucas to find her. After this case, nothing will be the same.

sigh…good books that are ruined by an awful main character
Such a shame because this series is fun and i enjoy most of the story. I just can’t get past an adult that constantly acts like a child. Get over yourself Gabby…you’re not a cop. Legally you have no part in the investigations. Not only does she screw up badly on every single one but she can’t keep her mouth shut. She blabs crucial evidence then the whole town knows. I was frustrated with her brother in the first book but now I really can see his point of view. Then she has the audacity to play the “confidentiality card” when it comes time to her cases but shows absolutely no respect towards law enforcement or the law in general. Another otherwise great book ruined by a main character that needs to grow up. So tired of her saying “crap on a cracker” too All The Time. And her whining about being left out. Gabby you’re not a cop just stop it already with your immaturity
We follow Gabby as she gets a call from her very own bully. Asking for help to find her missing sister. Gabby helps and along the way discovers that Lacey has a hidden secret that helps the case. It also leads to another family secret being uncovered which rocks Gabby and her family lives. With Gabby father making a show again.
We also have to deal with the heartbreak of Gabby being told to leave Lucas 😭 but will they get back together. We all know they will, the heart wants what the heart wants. It ends with karma being very much served once again.
It was also nice to see Gabby and Lacey become more bonded with each other and well at least not bullying each other. But I wonder how long that will last.
I have enjoyed this book, but the break up with Lucas? What? Why? What is going on? I had thought that maybe the tattoo was linked to her father with some kind of magic or something. It is all very perplexing. Her relationship with Lucas is also a bit hit and miss and she doesn't respect him whatsoever, so he deserves a better girlfriend anyway. Her father is a strange character, so this story is very frustrating and it answers nothing whatsoever. Gabby is quite annoying really, she finds she has more family, but they are not interested in her. Still the book grips you and you want to know more. Will be reading the next one with interest because I need to know the answers! Lol.
Dawn Merriman continues her Messages of Murder series with Message in the Blood. Gabby's life is never dull. Even when she thinks she has everyone in their appropriate columns of "good" and "bad," twists of fate jumble everything up in a cyclone of confusion. When a bullying news reporter reaches out, Gabby shows up because that's the kind of person she is. If only everyone else in her life could see her motivations. Gabby is unfailingly obedient, even if it means reaching out to help someone she always considered an enemy or leaving behind the person she loves.
The entire series has been a page turner and keeps you guessing.Great mystery books.Be warned if you have something planned wait to read the books because hard to put down.ook a break and read a different book but was bored to death and had to get back to the series. Her style of writing just flows as she pulls you through the story.Again as I've said before these are real stories with real plots that don't rely on smex and redundancy and overly wordy chapters to sell her books.Really enjoy them.
I want to make sure I don't write spoilers in my review, so my review may sound quite vague.
But I loved this book from start to finish, some very unexpected things happened throughout it all. I have loved this series as a whole and loved all of Gabby's adventures. As well as how she has grown as a character throughout the series.
I am now going to read the last book in the series, gutted it is coming to an end.
This one made me angry lol. All the feels. I love Gabby but I'm starting to feel like she's loosing herself as a self. These are amazing books......and the fact that I get in my feels just means the writer is doing her job......but when the heroine starts to feel incompetent you loose me. Of corse I'll be reading the next book and of course you still get 5 stars bc you still smash it out of the park!!
Gabby makes new discoveries and one of them is an extension of family. She is pulled in by a kidnapping and is asked by Lacey, a person who has always been considered an enemy and has little regard for her or her special gift to help find her sister. Twists, turns and secrets revealed and Gabby finds a way to help and a way to heartbreak. Fast paced and an easy read.
I missed Gabby and her adventures. I'm so glad that she had more to tell. This time her deranged father is involved along with her long time unfavorite reporter, Lacey. When Lacey asks Gabby for her help in finding her sister, Aubry, the action begins with a few surprises.
Another excellent book in the series. I can’t wait to see how this all ends, but I’m sad I’m almost finished. Other than some minor editing issues, which I ignored, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The story is really intriguing. And the characters are realistic—even Gabby, since some people actually have a gift like hers. Ok, I’m ready to finish this series.
Another fantastic book in the series. I absolutely love Gabby and everything she gets caught up in. I would never have thought that Lacey would call on her for help. That was wild. And that twist OMG!! I can’t wait for the outcome to that. I highly recommend this book and series.
Lacey has been Gabby’s Bain of existence until her sister goes missing and she needs Gabby’s help. An unlikely partnership forms as Gabby & Lacey try to find her sister. The book ends with a cliffhanger and I can’t wait to find out what happens next!
I was looking for a new book to read and stumbled upon this new release. I excitedly started reading it, as I already read all of the other Messages books Dawn has done it again. The book was amazing, just like the rest. I can't wait for the next one!!
Message in the Vlood is another good read from Dawn Merriman. This continuing series about a small town psychics involvement in mysteries & kidnapping is sure to delight & raise the heart rate.
I did not like many things that happened in this book. I can't dock stars for it but I'm an angsty reader, nonetheless. I have to say that I did appreciate the twists and turns in this one. I didn't see the majority coming which is always a delight.
Lacey Aniston has been an enemy to Gabby since high school. When Lacey calls and asks for help Gabby goes to her. Lacey's sister has been kidnapped and her boyfriend killed. Gabby is at another crime scene.
I like the fact I don't have to skip through graphic sex scenes or filler pieces that's not needed. Dawn Merriment keeps you interested with well written plots and characters you love!
This series is so addictive once you pick up a book about Gabby you can’t put it down. One of the things I like is there isn’t any bad language but so much suspense and your always trying to guess what will happen next.
When her worst enemy calls you and pleads for your help, cause her sister is missing, what do you do. You help her, right? Well, when she starts to help, they find things out that will leave you with your jaw open
This was an incredible book and all the twist and turns, as well as the revelation of what all Nathan has done. Just wow! The book is on a cliffhanger of sorts, but it makes my heart hurt as well as trying to see what God has in store for Gabby.
Editing errors are annoying, but I tried not overlook them and just enjoy the Gabby universe. Sadness abounds in this one. I hope the next hook has happiness and hope.
There was a lot going on with this one. I still liked it, but at the same time didn’t? I also need Gabby & Lucas to get it together right now 😂 and I’d love Gabby more if she would stop saying “crap on a cracker”.
