Anchor Point - a review by Rosemary Kenny.
Nicholas Harvey's AJ Bailey Adventure Series reaches the 13th dynamic, non-stop action-thriller with Anchor Point.
Double timelines alternate between the early 18th century and the present day, telling of a privateer's acquisition of vast, unexpected rewards, before revealing a stunning secret about its new navigator.
In the present day, AJ and her dive partner Reg Moore of Mermaid Divers are working on a televised DoE project, when AJ makes a discovery that links to the earlier events.
What jeopardizes her intent to keep the find clandestine? What's found next?
The plots intertwine cleverly as the story of the privateer's circumstances changes and meshes with AJ and Reg's, as they come under fire in a different way while investigating their find.
Lots of derring-do, skulduggery and exciting action aplenty makes Nicholas Harvey's Anchor Point an unmissable, unputdownable, 5-star thriller you definitely won't want to miss.

Another Great AJ Adventure
A chance finding of an old pirate cutlass lead AL and Co. on a search for the fabled Sword of Calcutta. But the real story here is about a boy named Wil and his adventures with an English privateer in the Caribbean of the 17 th century. Love how Nicholas weaves Wil’s story with AJ. Loved it.

Best adventure yet
Although I enjoy all of AJ and her buddies adventures, this is the best one yet. The dual timeline provided 2 interesting stories that came together. I hope there will be more of AJ and crew!

another fascinating diving adventure
I love how he presents the story of a treasure hunt from both sides… the origin story of the treasure, and the modern day search for the treasure, with explanations of real scuba diving concepts in the mix,

Great
At 1st I was disappointed to see dual time lines, as I prefer the modern parts of these books. But, the parts in 1700's were just as good, or maybe even better than the current events. I loved this book!

English slang overuse does not detract from storied
I love reading this series and look forward to the next book.I do find, however, that the use of English slang is overdone and unnecessary at times. The content of the books,is most enjoyable.

Marking my last read of 2022 with one of my favorite authors and adventure series!!! The 13th book did NOT disappoint!
While working on a conservation effort for the island of Grand Cayman, AJ Bailey finds some treasure. And not just any treasure, but that which pertains to a pirate from the 1700s. There’s a young lad with an unloving father, a mother with unwavering love for her son, and a pirate with a giant secret. Plus, there’s some heart pounding current events that always leave AJ in a bind out in the deep blue ocean.
This one is a must!
Special thank you to my friend, Nicholas Harvey, for the advanced copy!
