I’m intrigued by the story and want to know how it concludes. However, I despise weak and whinny heroines like Luxury who are content to give their body and heart for nothing in return. 2.5 Stars.

Deviant Royal is the rewritten version of the book ‘Fear’. I loved the original but I’ve fallen deeper for Deviant Royal. Action packed.. ✅, drama… ✅, romance…✅, s*x (shivers)… ✅. Victor is everything you’d expect and alpha male to be and he is the perfect piece of puzzle for Luxury’s life. I’d go as far and say he really added spice to her life lol even though it’s from catching bodies. Amarie did an exceptional job with this new version and quite frankly I’m honored to be able to experience both her old and improved writing styles. I highly recommend reading this book, it will totally be worth your time

I knew, I knew it!
With that said. I HATE CLIFFHANGERS!
It's a good thing I already have the next book or I'd really be PO'd.
The storyline to me started off kind of boring. Lux and Vic's relationship was all about the hook-up. Even though Victor has finally found "THE ONE" he's fighting his feelings being caught between who he is and his duty to the royal family and what he wants. Lux has had a profound effect on him.
Lux still has PTSD from finding her mother's body and is emotionally distant until Vic comes into her life. She feels betrayed when she learns the truth.
NOTE: This book was listened to and read in conjunction with using Audible.com. The female narrator Aure Nash sounded a lot like Taraji P. Henson.

Deviant Royal by Amarie Avant is a royal age gap romance that I listened to on audio narrated by JT Farrell and Aure Nash. This is the first book in the Duke of Tudor series.
This is the first book of Amarie's that I have read, and it won't be my last. I will say it took me a while to get into the book. But, by the end it left me wanting to see how Victor and Luxury relationship will evolve over the course of the series.
JT and Aure did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you like romantic suspense, age gap romances, or royal romances.

Good read
I liked this book. But it's not my favorite by Amarie Avant. Luxury's father has a hit out on him and Victor Tudor was the Assassin sent to kill him. But seeing and meeting Luxury changed him. But in doing so, Victor hides his true identity from Luxury and her father. While I loved the synopsis, character development and storyline. I had a hard time liking Luxury. She just rubbed me the wrong way. But I'm very intrigued to see how their journey continues and ends. Will they get their HEA. I'm very interested in how Victor is going to regain Luxury's love and trust when his other secrets come out. And what's up with Dr. Everhart aka Uncle Red? Yes I'll be following this story. Hopefully the second installment will capture my attention better. Please do not let my review steer from reading this book. It's still a good book. What might not be great to me doesn't mean it won't be awesome to you. 🙂

JT Farrell is amazing as Victor. I enjoy his voices, with and without accents, he provides a realistic feel to his characters. As Victor, he is commanding, hard to not be infatuated with him and hate him all at the same time. Aure Nash is perfectly cast as Luxury. A bratty, young adult, she gives us just enough naivete with her sexual prowess. I can't wait to see where these narrators take us in the story.

My Assessment:
This author has always given the readers another fantastic good read featuring Victor and Luxury. Luxury was at times hard to take, but then there was Victor, who wasn't able to say it...in love in the end with Luxury. So be ready for a little bit of it all emotional, dramatic, mystery, suspense, thriller, and romance that will keep you turning the pages to see what is coming next for these two. One will be only left waiting to read the next series in the Duke of Tudor.

Hot hot hot!
Boy oh boy the intrigue was REAL in this one. I couldn’t put it down. I LOVED the MAJOR alpha male and his leading lady. Yes, my kind of book and the cliffhanger…I figured it out MOMENTS before we were told. I screamed when I was proven right then it ended!! 😬😮💨
All in all, this book was fire and I was supposed to be finding my next book to read since I was at 90% on her 1st series but took a peak at her catalogue to search, found this and completely stopped reading th end of the other series! 😂🤣Amerie Avants books grip you and draw you in. Both series are amazing and different. I’m going to finish the other now, sadly, but looking forward to all the treasures coming my way!

MY FAVOURITE COUPLE!!!
Vic and Lux are one of my fave original couple in Amarie’s books, hands down. Poor Luxury didn’t know what hit her on that sidewalk or wasn’t prepared for all the changes that headed her way from that collision with a certain alpha royal. Poor Victor thought he could keep things copacetic and at arms length while still controlling to get his way but he was in for a rude awakening. This book has drama, intrigue, suspense, mystery, comedy and action. Especially with the specifics surrounding Gina’s death. Give this book a try, you’ll not be disappointed!!!

Less than ideal circumstances bring Victor into Luxury's life but once he meets her his previous agenda is put on hold. There is no denying the chemistry between them but the feelings he is developing for her were not part of the plan especially when you factor in the secrets he holds.
Luxury is drawn to Victor in a way she didn't expect however she is about to find out that their chance
meeting is anything and what she doesn't know about him will change everything.

Say It Ain't So!!!! It's Uncle Red!!!!! I can't believe it. It's going to crush Luxury's soul when she finds out. He better hope he stays clear of Victor because when he finds him it's gonna be game over. I just hope he finds him before he causes any more damage. Victor never intended to fall for Luxury mainly because he has other obligations already set in place. How will he fulfill his royal duties and be there for Luxury? If there's a will Victor will find a way and I can't wait to find out how.💛💛

Kind of boring…
I hate to be critical but this series sounded much better than it turned out. I was 75% finished before I actually became interested. Regardless of how boring a book is, I always finish it. It just takes me more time. A lot of chores became more interesting than reading. That said, I am getting ready to begin the next book. Hopefully, it will prove to be more worthwhile.

This book is full of suspense, mystery, action, drama, twists and turns.
It's the start of the romance between Victor and Luxury..
It wasn't a chance meeting between the two. Victor had another agenda, didn't follow through.
Victor, the domineering, aloha mAle is what Luxury needs in her life.
Together, they are hot and steamy..An interesting beginning to this series.

I can never resist anything written, or re-written by AMARIE AVANT! I loved Luxury and Victor's story - again! Being the ultimate royal bad boy assassin with his trusted sidekick Burt the Butler takes you on a witty and wickedly exciting thrill ride! Throw in one tiny, freckled faced and totally naive heroine, then you have one excellent read!

Victor and Lux, the Assassin and the innocent. Lots of kills and funny in parts with just the right amount of seriousness. It's great read. Victor and Lux are in for quite a ride or should I say Lux and in for the ride of her life. But when duty calls what will happen to Lux? I loved it, there's a Brit hero so I'm bias. Well done Ms Avant.

I enjoyed reading about Victor and Lux's again. Victor has always been quite a character and he still is...LOL. Amarie Avant did a really good job with this story. I was not disappointed at all. There is more to come and I look forward to it. I am not a fan of spoliers in reviews, so you will just have to check this story out for yourself. I recommend it. Great job, Amarie Avant!

Fantastic!
Well ,we have got a mystery, romance and drama filled story going on and to top it off we have a few royal involved. The writer gives a winning performance right out the gate. We get two characters are so so likable and relateable. This is a silken web being woven and we are happy to be caught.

Lux father has a hit on him but the person sent to do the job falls for Lux and refuses to fulfill the contract. Now everyone is in danger because others have been sent to finish the job and add two more people. Lux is street smart but you think she is a fool for the man she has fallen for. She is strong but has been through so much that it takes her a minute to realize her own strength.

Exceptional read...
I loved the mystery, intensity, cloak and dagger akin to a James Bond plot which we all know and love because of the memorable characters...as with thus storyline it will be remembered as a classic by mz.Amador throughout time...Great job 👏👍😉😏😊😆😀😃😁😄😅😂😘😍😎💓💗💞💘😈

Who doesn't love a novel that sends chills up their back while reading? If one wants/ needs to read a romantic thriller, then they must look no further than this novel! They week have chilly chills throughout the entire read, while also melting over the steamy romance!
