His job post requests a vet, but he really needs a bride. And if I fake marry him, he’ll pay off my mom’s medical bills.
Taking the job is a no-brainer…
But this “engagement” comes with fine print. Touching, teasing, and every time our lips meet, my world tilts.
I’m marrying him to clear my debt, not to fall in love.
But tell that to the goosebumps covering my skin every time he looks at me. And my virginal body craves his touch. I fear he will see me, see that I’ve never had sex.
God help me to get through these six months because I’m falling for my husband.

Good book overall. I enjoyed the characters. Rhys came off a little too much like a cold hearted jackass at first. I wasn’t sure if I would like him at all at the beginning. With the brother Ryan almost losing the farm and then acting all sweet I kinda had a problem with the end of the book. It became pretty obvious where it was going when his old work was stolen under is company ID. A couple of things just didn’t add up to me with that. Like the author was trying to fit all the square facts in a round hole type of thing. Like if Rhys quit his highly secure job that has facial recognition! Why did they let him keep his badge? No way would a real company do that. If they needed him to consult he’d have to come in as a consultant not use his old security clearance to gain access to a billion dollar company he no longer works with. I’m Jen there’s how long Anna was missing without the police being involved bc of all the red tap calling the police in would take to long. Wait what? I mean Rhys has the potential of being charged with a felony and the kidnapper is the actually culprit. Add to that it took I think a week to find him, 3 of those days he had a captive and the police wasn’t involved at all? I know it’s a little nit picky and not real life but it should still make sense and the ending just didn’t to me.
I’m surprised I finished this book. It was juvenile in a lot of ways . To end like it did ? To try and rope us into reading another installment , erm no thanks. Rhys was weird at times talking to Anna like it was a dominatrix act. Super weird.
What happens when fate steps in turning something that was supposed to be fake into something that is very real leaving all kinds of questions. Rhys sexy as all get out usual grumpy billionaire who wants to go back to his ranch to reset but with so much on his plate how but fate steps in using his mother to call him home to handle some trouble his twin got into gambling causing his grandfather to sign everything over to him with a very important claws he has to get married now marriage isn’t something that he has really thought about most the women he have met want one thing his money not taking the time to get to know him really. Anna a vet she has so much on her plate right now trying to care for her mom, needing money for her medical bills, so when she notices an ad applies but upon getting there she finds out the billionaire needs her for something more than just being the vet, oh she will be the vet but he wants her to pretend to be his fake fiancé, then wife and in return she will get an unseemly amount of money more than enough to cover her mother’s care. The attraction is there from the moment they meet but they keep telling themselves it is fake but the more time they spend with/around each the magnetic pull grows stronger and before they know it they are doing all the things a real husband/wife would be doing now throw in his twins shenanigans that nearly lands his brother in jail, also throwing a monkey wrench in their relationship is their bond strong enough to get through it, will his brother get help, and will we see what happens when emotional bonds weren’t on the menu, and attachments certainly weren’t supposed to form but as always when fate put things, people in place and love rears her beautiful head throwing yet another wrench into the works but will it all end with a HEA?.

I started to read another book from this author and realized that even though it doesn't say it is a part of a series, it really is. Cowboy Billionaire is the first book before Cowboy Grump. Within the first few pages of that story, I realized something was off. I went looking and found this.
This author is relatively new and she does a wonderful job of telling a story that is very interesting. There is a little bit of intrigue that comes about half away into the story. This book is written in a dual POV format. I also liked that, even though the two main protagonists entered into a "fake" relationship, it didn't take long to work through all the usual drama.
Rhys is a brilliant scientist. He just received a call to come home. When he gets home to the ranch from Austin, his mother tells him that his older twin brother almost gambled the multi-generational ranch away. Rhys has to take over the ranch but his grandfather wants him married. Rhys finds Anna, a veterinarian, that was recently let go from her job due to a lay-off. The ranch could use a vet and she could also be his fake fiancee. Anna reluctantly agrees when Rhys mentions a sum that will pay off her student loans and help take care of her mother.
This is a sexy read so just a word of caution on that score.
Rhys is living in the city and gets a call to come back to the family ranch. Apparently his twin Ryan had almost lost the ranch in a card game! So their grandfather is offering it to Rhys with the stipulation that he must get married in order to take ownership of the ranch.
Rhys puts an ad out for a vet who will live on the ranch for up to a year and Anna answers it. She is a veterinarian who is trying to pay her mom’s medical bills and this job sounds perfect for her needs. The salary Rhys offers her is more than enough to pay her mom’s treatment costs, but what the ad hadn’t said was that she has to agree to marry him for a year then they would go their separate ways. The marriage would not require anything sexual, but they would have to act like a couple.
Anna stands up to Rhys, which he respects, and they eventually begin to take notice that they have feelings for each other. Will they fall in love for real? And what happens when Ryan tries to frame Rhys to discredit him and destroy his job, kidnaps Anna, and pressures him to sign the ranch back over to him… or else? Would Rhys lose Anna in this standoff?
This is a great start to a new series and a new author! This is a beautiful love story about a practical man, Rhys who is forced to leave his bio-chemist job in the city to return to the family ranch to run it after his twin, Ryan almost gambles it away in card game. Rhys is given an ultimatum by his aging grandfather that he needs to marry to get ownership of the farm so he finds Anna a veterinarian and single woman willing to “pretend” to be in love and marry Rhys for a year. These two seem to be enemies but really they just rub one another with a way that creates friction and brings out their chemistry. Everyone falls in love with Anna and how she stands up to Rhys and they slowly start to finds ways to be together as they care about one another. Ryan never take responsibility for his actions and unknown to everyone he becomes a evil person creating harm to those around him. I really enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more from Olivia. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Rhys is living his dream job in science, far away from the family farm being run by his twin brother Ryan. Then one day Rhys' mum calls with an urgent call back to the farm for Rhys. Rhys soon learns that Ryan has nearly lost the family farm in a gambling bet. Rhys needs to save the farm but can only inherit and run the farm from dear old grandpa by being a married man, which he is not.
He puts an ad out for a vet to assist him run the farm, but there's a catch he asks the selected vet to also marry him, or at the very least pretend to be engaged to him. If they marry, they only need to be married for a short time for the charade to work. What can go wrong if the vet Rhys chooses is not only beautiful, a virgin, his family loves her and she is a damn good vet. Rhys can't be attracted to her, his scientific career awaits!
I really enjoyed the e-book version of this book and found it to be gripping and a real page turner. A great holiday read and easy to read.
I loved this book and I can't wait to read the next two books.
This book was filled with drama, suspense, romance, and love. What started out as a fake relationship ended in true love, marriage and children. It doesn't say what happened to Ryan in the end, but maybe in the next book.
I found it sad that the sibling relationship between Ryan and Rhys ended like it did, especially with them being twins. In the bonus two chapters is ten years later and Rhys and Anna have twin boys by the names of Emmitt and Ethan. Apparently, they have another one on the way.
Things are looking up for the Winding Ways Cowboys, so leek reading. I have read Olivia's 'Harmony in the Heartland series' and it is very good. Enjoy and happy reading
The “writer” has an extremely poor grasp of the English language. It is not my job as a reader to try a figure out what the writer is trying to say. It is the job of the writer to use words to paint a mental picture.
This book is full of steaming piles of rubbish like “My fingers were gripping the edge of the bed that was white-knuckled and bloodless.” Well beds are supposed to be bloodless and they don’t have knuckles so this was either a very special bed, or the writer isn’t very good at writing what she means. Then there were all the grammatical mistakes and sentence structure errors.
I loved this book. I mix of so many tropes: enemies to lovers, fake marrage, virgin, twins, add a bit of corporate espionage, jealousyand a lot of chemistry. This story had me engrossed. Anna is just about surviving, trying to look after her mum and find a job she is qualified for. Rhys has suddenly become responsible for the family ranch. But to keep it he has to marry. One ad posted and Anna and Rhys have a way out. Can they follow the rules and keep the relationship platonic or will chemistry win out. I loved this book and highly recommend it.
This was a good book, not great but not bad. I am very glad the fake relationship wasn’t drawn out too much. The few close calls were well written and I did like the way they communicated like adults. The only thing that kept this from being a 4 star (5 I rarely give out), was the climax of the story. I will not give any spoilers but the big reveal happened and I just didn’t care. However I did like both main characters and the steamy scenes were very well done. I did fall in love with Tucker so I am looking forward to his story.
Love this series. What started off as a plan to secure his grandfather’s ranch, Rhys hired Anna to pretend to be his fiancé and then his wife. Anna excepted the role as Rhys’s fiancé and also to serve as a vet on his ranch for enough money to get out of debt and pay for her mother’s hospice care. Quite a few grammatical errors throughout the entire story, but I understand that they were corrected before publication.

A Sweet love story that starts out as a business proposition. This story has a few ups and downs, but it has some fun heart to it. Great characters that mesh well together with that perfect twist at the end. I enjoyed all thge twists and turns this story had. Well written!
A well written perfectly paced story pulling you in from the start. A family feud between twin brothers Rhys and Ryan over the family legacy ranch. This story keep you interested throughout even with others being drawn into the mix. Anna gets caught up in the feud and helps Rhys figure things out.
You have twins, Rhys is super intelligent and very wealthy and then you have Ryan who is thinks he's entitled. Unfortunately, Ryan almost loses their ranch while gambling. Rhys takes over but is required to be married. He hires Anna who is a vet and needs money for her mother's upkeep. The story gets super tangled when Rhys and Anna are falling for each other.
This author needs an editor or beta readers to catch the typos, grammar errors, and missing words (sentences). That's all part of the package, afterall. Okay character development, a smooth flowing plot, lots of hot spices in the bedroom, and some good angst mixed in with a touch of suspense made for a mostly enjoyable read.
Winding Ways Cowboys book 1. A new author for me. A very delightful story. The cowboy and the vet. A deal struck in order to save his family ranch and pay her mother's health bills. They are two sides of the same coin. They need each other more than they realize. Watching them fall for each other was entertaining. Smexy, dramatic, angstful and fun.
What an incredible page turner this novel turned out just to be. First Rhys and Anna decide on a fake relationship. Then when their feelings become the real thing Anna is kidnapped by Ryan, Rhys' twin brother. After an agonising few days Rhys finds Anna, Ryan is captured and finally Rhys and Anna get their happily ever after.
This story was just ok. Fake engagement with the constant pull of desire. But, neither Rhys or Anna were especially interesting characters. There was a “mystery” but the culprit was extremely predictable. And for all of Anna’s sweetness she made a pretty wild and uncharacteristic error in judgement.
Thus was a great story about to brothers who are one trying to save the ranch and the other wants to destroy every thing for money rhys finds love with the vet he hired to be his girlfriend
Great story. The book was full of small stories of ranch life and interesting people who lived there. Most twins have a wonderful bond Rhy and Ryan were twins with a love hate relationship.
Rhy and Anna story is full of confusion, regret, family dramatics and a fledgling love. The characters are rich, opinionated and funny. The sex scenes are steamy. I highly recommend this book!
This was great. Anna was so made for Rhys. She is a feisty Vet, who ended up becoming a fake fiancee to Billionaire Rhys. HEA, but no extra chapter after the HEA lol... Please, I need one!
Exciting read that start off as a fake engagement and spins into a story of duplicity, crimes, family drama and more before reaching a happy ending. Thoroughly enjoyed it!
This was quite a story. Not only did they start with a fake romance but deception was involved and a nail biting but exciting ending. I'm sure all romance readers will love this story.
Filled with fakery, love, thievery, and twins competition!
She needed to find a mob to support herself and her mom, who was in a care center. Well he interviewed her and offered a job. Not one she thought it would be!
