Bracken Ridge Arizona, where the Rebels M.C. rule and the only thing they ride or die for more than their club is their women, this is Colt’s story
Colt: She’s the raven-haired beauty with bright blue eyes, so piercing they could render any man to his knees with one glacial stare. The sight of her hurt, vulnerable, scared… it makes my heart thunder. I want to avenge her. I want to keep her safe. I want to keep her for myself, even when I know the waters surrounding her are deep and perilous. It doesn’t make me want to stop, it makes me want to kill every bastard whoever did her wrong, every single one of them. That’s if her dark soul doesn’t torture me and put me out of my misery first.
Cassidy: I feel his presence before he speaks. His voice is deep but soft; it washes right through me like a comfort blanket. It shouldn’t be familiar. I shouldn’t cling to him, it’s wrong. He may have rescued me from a dire situation, but that’s no excuse to dig my heels in. The trouble is, I can’t help it. He’s strong, masculine, sexy as sin, and I can’t help the feelings awakening in me whenever he’s around. I wish I could, but I can’t seem to stop, and it could be my final undoing.

i've been really loving mc books lately, and colt did not disappoint! this is book four of mackenzy fox's bracken ridge rebels mc series and while the books do happen chronologically, you don't need to read the other books to understand and enjoy colt! · this book was sweet and steamy with the perfect amount of angst to balance everything out. colt is your quintessential cinnamon roll trapped in a menacing body. his upbringing gives him an air of innoncence that i loved so much coming from the mmc. and cassidy!!! y'all know i love my girls tough as nails and cassidy is that embodied. · what colt and cassidy go through together is hard but it brings them closer in the best ways. i love who cole is for cassidy and vice versa. if you're looking for a quick mc romance fix, look no further! check out the bracken ridge rebels mc series 🥰
Cassidy is rescued from being kidnapped and has PSTD from her experience. Colt played a major part in her rescue and he feels drawn to her.
The pull I feel to her, the connection I can’t explain, it seems to grow stronger every time I see those pretty eyes.
Cass has had it hard and doesn’t feel worthy so she leaves to go back to her old life and bad habits.
Colt grew up in a Amish very religious and strict family. He’s haunted by what happened to his younger brother. He doesn’t do relationships but there is something about Cassidy.
“Very twisted, but you’re right. Out of something truly awful and crazy came something really amazing, Cass. That’s the way you gotta look at it.”
Super sexy edition to this amazing MC series. Just can’t get enough.
This book really didn't keep my attention. Nothing really happened. A story line was set up for the next book but I'm not sure if I'll read it. The stories are kind of cookie cutter.
I've been waiting for Colt & Cass's story since I saw their connection in @MackenzyFox 's debut novel "Steel" & even though the storyline is not what I had imagined (yes I had a whole storyline in my mind😂), I still enjoyed reading this.
** INCLUDES violence, religious beliefs (Amish) & a past incident of suicide.
Let me say this loud and clear, If you're looking for a story with some/ little darkness, a cinnamon roll but tough, caring, sexy MMC and a cute read then you're picking up the right book.
Now that we've got that out of the way, let's talk about the book.
IT WAS SO FUCKING SWEET. There's nothing over the top new, everything's pretty basic in the non-repetitive & best way. The storyline is simple & hella steamy! The things the FMC went through may or may not seem severe but different people react differently to situations. Cassidy here is a tough cookie who didn't leave her past life after what happened, she instead stayed a while & then atleast tried to make her life plans work out. Colt....let me just find a guy half as nice, understanding & caring as he is *sighs* (ugshsh when will I meet such guys??). He's protective (ofcourse) but doesn't order Cassidy to follow, he somehow says it like he's giving an option & in case I didn't say it before, HE'S SWEET & CARING & talks dirty.🔥

I received a copy of this arc in exchange for an honest review. This is the second book in this series I’ve read and I have absolutely loved both! I never knew I could love a motorcycle club trope in a book until I read this author. Colt, the mmc in this book is lovable from the start. He is a big and tough guy, with a heart of gold and will go to the ends of the earth to protect the people he cares about. He meets Cassidy when his friends and him find her being held hostage after being kidnapped. She instantly feels safe with him and the two of them form a connection neither one of them can explain. They both have a painful past that they haven’t healed from and haven’t really ever opened up to others about. Neither one were looking for the other, yet seeing them seek solace with another was such a beautiful piece of this story. I absolutely loved this. It was sweet, emotional, spicy and easily binge worthy. Huge shout-out ti this 𝚖𝚞𝚜𝚝 𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚍 series ! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The fourth book in the series actually starts off at the end of the first book, Steel, when he saves a captive Cassidy, Sienna's cousin. Cassidy had been kidnapped by Sienna's ex and held for days as ransom before the MC had shown up to rescue her.
Colt, aka Daniel, and Cass's storyline jumps back and forth between their individual dark parts of their pasts, to when they met, to the present, and the times in-between the two time points.
Woooo, Colt is swoonworthy a sweet, hot, and kind MC man with a different background and outlook on life compared to his fellow MC brothers. He made this a steamy read as they come together towards their HEA. Steamy, not dark, but very sweetly steamy. Sigh, such a nice guy!
Standing gives us a sneak peek into the author's next book between Rubble and Lucy and how they came together. Had to that, the lead in from Colt's book in regards to the one percenter MC that are on the hunt for Rubble.
*****5 Swooning Stars***** I absolutely love this series each book gets better and better. Colt is so different from his brother’s but he believes in the same things they do. Cassidy is rescued by the MC after being kidnapped and has been suffering with PSTD from her experience and Colt played a major part in her rescue and he feels drawn to her just as much as she feels drawn to him. Colt back ground is very different from his fellow brother’s he grew up in a very strict and religious Amish family and no one knows that side of him. Cass did not have an easy life growing up the only constancy was her cousin Sienna (Steel girlfriend book one in the series). These share a connection that they won’t admit to each other so when Cass decides it’s time to go home thing but thing are not that easy for either one of them. You must read to get the rest of the story!! I can’t wait to read more.
Welcome back into the world of.... ʙʀᴀᴄᴋᴇɴ ʀɪᴅɢᴇ ʀᴇʙᴇʟꜱ ᴍ.ᴄ. – ᴇɴᴛᴇʀ ᴀᴛ ᴏᴡɴ ʀɪꜱᴋ…….
-----------
Damn, the emotional pull & chemistry within this book will leave you swooning & feeling all the damn love. The MC'S are stealing the hearts of it's readers. Colt & Cass are breathtaking. -----------
----------- This is one helluva a emotional rollercoaster and the way Mackenzy handles the trauma within is written beautifully. It captures the pain & aches so damn well. The way Colt emotionally supports her is outfrigginstanding! Plus the internal diologue is PERFECT!
The MC trope is honestly becoming one of my favourites and this book did not disappoint, after reading Steel, Brock, and Gunner's story I was excited to see who was next. Colt and Cassidy are honestly so sweet and unique I was ready for their story to finally got a chance to be told. The healing that had to happen for both of them to be together was so real and loveable it was a nice change from the bully romance I normally read and it made me more connected to the characters and what they were experiencing. I honestly cried at different aspects and I wanted more. I loved that both characters were vulnerable and sassy showing softer sides with each other was cute and heart-warming to see and I will defiantly be going back for a reread soon. Bring on the next Bracken Ridge Rebel romance please
Loved, loved, loved this book to pieces. I do not usually like any book that gets too sweet, especially my MC books - but the author somehow made me love a (mostly) very sweet story (probably because a fair amount of spice and steam is mixed in). Colt is such a very different character to have in an MC. I’ve only read a few books with heroes that have a background such as his. His story is both tragic and unique. Cassidy is just sad. Her life so far has been so sad and full of humans treating her poorly, except for Sienna and Sam. I loved the two of them together. I especially loved seeing them progress from Cassidy having a strange PTSD bond with Colt to something much deeper. I’m now on pins and needles waiting for Rubble’s book in Feb!
Colt and Cassidy’s story was definitely an emotional rollercoaster ride from beginning to end. These two pulled on my heartstrings and had me all teary eyed and gushing with love over how perfect they are together. They have an instant connection that is undeniable and their chemistry is hot and intense. But their story is not all hearts and butterflies, there are serious issues that both need to deal with before they can be together fully.
Really well written story with amazing characters that you fall hopelessly in love with and with a storyline that is captivating, emotional, sweet and very spicy.
I loved every second and I can’t wait to read the next story.
Colt and Cassidy’s romance has been brewing in the background for while. The readers got snippets throughout the last books but I still was surprised how it went.
Both have some rather unique backstories that have shaped them and was glad to see Cassidy being more feisty than I thought she would be. Not to say she doesn’t have a vulnerable side. She still is dealing with being kidnapped.
Very steamy and oh so hot. Loved it and can’t wait for others in the series.
* I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.
Something about MC romance that makes me giddy. This is Colt's story he is my new MC book boyfriend. He and Cass have a great storyline their journey to healing to move forward into a future. Really good MC book not like some others but does not lack in heat..
I received this free ARC from this Author and my honest review is voluntary.
I been excited for these two since Brock's story were we so glimpse of them. Cassidy and Colt story is about healing a growth. I felt alot for Cassidy and everything that she went through. I think these two were perfect for each other. I can't wait for moreof Bracken Ridge Rebels.
Because this is a dang good series. Colt have I looked forward to read and it didn't disappointed. It is a solid well written book with a beautiful love story to tell. I love how it storie unfolds with respect for both main character. It's just so right❤️
Fourth book in the Bracken Ridge Rebels series and yes it just got a little better. She’s coming back from a kidnapping. A little lost and broken. He has a back story with his amish background. Together they fine themself. This is a story about trust and hope.
Wow just wow! Colt and his background was not surprising to me since I have some knowledge of his upbringing. As for Cassidy I was beyond proud of her.
Like this series, it is a Lovely, quick read series! Well written and executed. The Character development is well done And great world building. And it's Fun with Drama and just the right amount of tension and Romance!
Super sweet read. This was definitely a bit different than the others since the MMC was not a manho, lol. It also was as angsty as the other stories have been. Looking forward to finishing the series!
I was eager for more of Colt's story and he did not dissapoint. This couple was so sweet together. A bit of drama, a touch of angst and some heat made for a fun read.
I tried so hard to like this series. MC is my favorite genre, but it genuinely feels like this author doesn’t like MCs. Also- the details between the first book when Cass is rescued and her relationship with Colt and this book are different- and different in a big way. Both Gunner and Colt’s books have MAJOR “secrets” revealed through dreams which is repetitive and lazy. Also, many of the members seem to not really believe or buy into major themes of an MC, ie “claiming a woman.” Obviously these characters would feel that way- they chose this life and the “club comes first.” Finally, these are not great love stories. Many of the characters in this series (with maybe the exception of Gunner and Lilly) could be end game or not, nothing special. I DNF’ed this book 80 percent in, and I feel after 3.5+ plus books I’ve given it a fair shake and I won’t be reading any more.
If you’re looking for a sweet, steamy read with a dash of emotional depth, Colt & Cassidy might just be what you need. It’s not without its flaws, but I definitely found myself enjoying it in the end.
First off, Colt is the real star here. I mean, he’s the definition of a cinnamon-roll hero with an edge. Tough but caring, sexy but considerate—he’s the kind of guy you just want to swoon over. His protective nature and sweet, patient attitude with Cassidy made for some seriously heart-melting moments. Plus, the guy talks dirty, which is always a bonus. I’ll take a guy who knows how to balance tenderness with a little heat any day!
Cassidy, on the other hand, is a tough cookie. She’s been through a lot, including some very personal struggles and a rough past that she doesn’t let define her. She’s resilient, and I appreciated her determination to make things work, even when life threw curveballs at her. The emotional weight of her past, including a sensitive topic like suicide, adds depth to her character and gives the romance more emotional weight than you’d expect.
The romance itself is sweet and definitely steamy, but I have to admit, the storyline felt a little predictable at times. There’s nothing too groundbreaking here—just two people who’ve been through some stuff, come together, and work through their baggage to find happiness. It’s simple, in the best way possible, though I did find myself wishing for a bit more tension or unexpected twists in the plot.
Colt is book 4 in the Bracken Ridge Rebels MC Series. After the disaster that was book 3, I was worried this would be my last in this series. It was better, somewhat. When Colt assists in rescuing Cassidy from her kidnapper, she sees him as her savior. He feels a connection to her as well. With both of them having past trauma and baggage, they set aside their feelings for one another to give Cass a chance to heal from her ordeal. When they can no longer deny their feelings, the relationship begins. The relationship between these two is spicy and sweet, with lots of chemistry and both overcoming things from their past. However, if you are looking for action or anything related to the MC, this is NOT the book, and honestly, not the series for you. There really is nothing to this book plot wise, no major event or excitement.. nothing. This series started so strong for me, and now, sadly, I feel like it is barely keeping my attention. I may try one more book at some point, but this may not be the series for me.
Ok I’m gonna start by saying, I hate steel, he’s just an AH there is just no need for it at all. I get he’s supposed to be grumpy but he’s not just grumpy he’s awful. Ok moving on…. I love colt and cass they are up there with lily and gunner for me. I loved the Amish story, so unusual never read anything like that in a mc book and it was a great little read. I will say one thing that really bothered me about this series is since cass entered everyone (except colt) made her seem like this desperate clingy bunny boiler and that’s just not it at all. I’m honestly tired of the sexism in this series. Colt wasn’t like that and neither is gunner. I’m honestly not sure what to be prepared for with the next one.
Fantastic book! The story of Colt, who is in the motorcycle club. One day on a rescue mission od sorts he finds Cassidy and she instantly feel save with him. I love how sweet this book is after reading a lot of dark books so this was a nice change. Also not RH which is what I read mostly but not solely. I'll make exceptions and was so glad to read this. It's stand-alone but part of a series and it's my fav MC novel this year so far!
Uhhhh Amish boy!? Who would have thought that a hot as biker could be raised an Amish boy….I sure didn’t!!! Another amazing written book by Mackenzy I devoured this book like all the others !!! Stripper and Amish/biker !? Uh yeah it works so well eventho it sounds so wrong. In love with this story the spice level as always is immaculate and so well written!!! Can’t wait til Rubble comes out because this series is amazing!!!

"And just as the Phoenix rose from the ashes, she too will rise. Returning from the flames, clothed in nothing but her strength, more beautiful than ever before." .... I feel this symbolizes both Cassidy and Colt. This book focused more on the depth of both characters I feel. How broken, yet reborn with each other. Fantastically written and I can't wait for the next!
This one i absolutely loved from beginning to end Even read it while walking on the treadmill at the gym. that's how much i was addicted.
Never in my wildest dreams did i think Colt came from an amish back ground lol but it's so fitting. Him and cass fit so perfectly together. im glad they found each other despite cassidy's shocking start.
Love that this book starts where steel and seinnas ended kind of.
These books are so good Now, onto the next book 5 :)
