War has come to Kairos' doorstep right as his dynasty seems secure. The Poison Emperor Mithridates has launched his conquest of the Sunsea, sowing death and destruction in his path. The vile Romulus feeds on the chaos in the hope of freeing his dreadful master, the wolf-god Lycaon.
As his final battle approaches, Kairos gathers his many allies to face his foes once and for all. Two would-be pantheons will now clash to determine which of them will inherit the Olympians' throne.
At the apex of the world, there is only enough space for one.
It seems my prediction at the end of book two was right. This is the last book in the series (at least that is how the blurb reads... we will see).
This is the end, and like a true Greek Epic was filled with tragedies.
I enjoyed my journey (books one to two more than three) along with Kairos, and recommend the series to anyone who loves anything to do with Greek Mythology.
A solid conclusion to the series. Really not a lot else to say, as it moved well and kept my attention to the end. Probably the best book of the series; the ending was satisfying and an appropriate place to stop it.
Love the depth of the characters emotions and thoughts and the twists of the political plots. The system while great needed work in a writing aspect. The [Hero] format that appeared was unnecessary. 8.7/10
A satisfying ending to this clever, fun Greek Mythology LitRPG trilogy. Durand is a talented writer, and really captured the infamous Greek tragedy with this book. This was probably the best book of the trilogy, moved at a rapid pace but didn't feel rushed.
