She’s running toward a life of safety. He’s running from a life of love.
Once was enough. Adelyn Jones married the perfect man five years ago. Zane Jones had the looks, the career, the smooth words—he had it all. He also had the controlling, abusive temper to go along with it all. After finally getting the courage to divorce him, the last thing Adelyn wanted was another man in her life.
If there was one thing Sidney Madison was good at, it was minding his own business. Maybe even a little too good. When Sidney finds the petite, brown-haired beauty and her talkative four-year-old daughter wrecked on the side of the road, he knows he has to step out of his comfort zone and come to their rescue. Will Adelyn let down her guard long enough to see past Sidney’s self-doubts and shy demeanor? Will Sidney open his heart to this woman he is attracted to or continue to play it safe and follow his lifelong rule... keep your distance and mind your own business.
KC Hart, author of Christian Contemporary Small Town Romance with a southern twist and Christian Cozy mysteries, has been married to Mr. Wonderful for thirty-nine years. She has three daughters, three grandsons, and one beautiful granddaughter.
KC sincerely believes that well-written Christian fiction can change lives. When a novel has strong Christian principals woven intricately into a well-written plot, the reader bonds with lifelike characters who struggle with trials, temptations, and struggles that the reader identifies with. The reader identifies with these characters because she’s been there. Everyone has fallen. That’s why everyone needs a Savior.
Then, when these same characters turn to Christ the Savior to bring them through these dark moments, the reader finds hope. KC believes the story reminds the reader why she must lean on the Lord in her trying situations. Through the book’s structure showing Christianity as the positive light for good that KC knows to be true, the reader also sees why she needs to be the hands and feet of Christ to others.
KC strives to show how the Lord uses situations, people, and His Word to bring the lost to Him, and mold, prune and grow His children. She tackles challenging situations, powerful emotions, and spiritual warfare through engaging stories and true-to-life characters.
All of KC's books are free of sex, gore and foul language. Her books are full of small town charm and share the light of Christ in a way that is natural to the story.
I loved Car Smarts and Bashful Hearts by KC Hart. Carson Bayou seems like a place that I’ve visited before right down to the Gator statue and mascot. I live in Louisiana so I’ve been there (more or less lol). Love the surroundings, the people, and the community. I appreciate finding out more about each character, their past, present, and future. This was a faith-filled story full of different emotions and doubts but most importantly faithfulness and wisdom. Listening to The Lord and letting him guide people and direct their hearts. All I can say is WOW and WONDERFUL. I am so excited about the next book in the series. “We are all fumbling through. I think God sometimes lets us fail so we will learn to lean on Him instead of ourselves.“ I received a free ARC for my honest review.
Well written book. We all need Christians in our lives to help us. God sends these friends in unexpected ways. There are circumstances in this story that we all can relate to in one way or another. It has funny and very serious adventures. I enjoyed this story and can hardly wait for the next one.
Loved this book for sure. If tgere were more Christian people in this world, what a wonderful world it would. E. This story is filled with love, faith and family. Lots of different emotions throughout and also some funny parts as well . Very well rounded book and can’t edit until the next one to see where the story is going next
Another inspiring and good story from KC Hart. Haizy May stole the story for me. Sidney, at times I just wanted to slap him...but he got his act together finally. As always a book that kept me turning pages.
