D.R. Perry writes primarily in Revealed World. These are open UF YA Academy books with diverse characters and cute magical critters. She lives with her spouse, child, and dog in Rhode Island.
This is one geeky author who loves writing for the sense of adventure and wonder. In her books, you’ll find real characters, fantastic worlds, and a handful each of humor and hope.
D.R. hopes you have as much fun reading her books as she did writing them.
Friendship and teamwork of different races combined with obstacles on every corner leading to a better understanding and the resulting respect and love is an incredible achievement to be presented in a book full of adventures and quests in order to save the world. I was hooked from the beginning and just wanted to carry on reading. I can recommend this series to everyone able to read. Totally captivating characters and fascinating worlds make reading this box set unforgettable.
I think I have a new favorite author:). Finished Books 1 and 2 of the set and started book 3. the books are short, funny, have an ongoing mystery ( so if bought separately read in order) and the characters are likeable and interesting. Each book has a couple of main characters that seem to have good dynamics and a cute romance plot while solving their respective mysteries. I like that side characters in one book are main characters in another so you get lots of good character development and consistent group dynamics. The only confusing bit is that this says book one and they keep referencing events that happ0ened to the previous generation. Its not immersion breaking or anything in my opinion, but i think the series that is strictly about physic and magi at the college is canonically first. If you are quest completionism type maybe read that first. The world building is interesting and does a good job explaining info as needed. I like that magi and psychics are specialized by default and have interesting limitations along with the magical creature types this improves character dynamics a lot because they always need help from the group.
10 books and a few short stories full of heart. The author has filled the books with all manner of fairies creatures, shifters, magic and love. The story is about an evil person intent on taking over the magic and the mundane worlds and the people who are trying to stop him. I found it very hard to put down as it had some very engaging characters and a great series of stories.
I read the whole series. In many ways it was like reading the same story over and over. I don't feel like I really got to know any of the characters, there was a lot of subdued angst, then some flowers and it was over. Very unsatisfactory. The owl was my favorite.
Although I enjoyed this set, it was so long and convoluted that I almost gave up a few times. In the end, it was worth powering through and I did enjoy the fullness of character development.
I really loved the way the story is presented from each character instead of from just one point of view, so you know exactly what each person is feeling and thinking. It showed how different Races and magical creatures can come together.
This set shows how fate or the right wrong turn can change the outcome of any event or life. It shows that love happens when you look for it the least or are not looking for it at all.
Fun series! Each book is a different paranormal romance. Goblins, ghosts, wolf shifters, vampires, psychics, genies, faeries, and Evan a human. You can read one book, or the whole series....no horrible cliffhangers. Lol For probably 12 yrs and up; no steamy scenes.
I would love to see more of these characters. So heart warming to see the stories. I didn’t think I would like it because you could see the end of each book. Nope loved them
