I did my best to keep my head down and stay out of trouble. After escaping an abusive relationship, the last thing I wanted was more conflict. But when my ex-fiance walks into the bar where I work, determined to win me back, I find myself caught in more trouble than I know what to do with.
Brewer
I barely knew her. As the President of the Alpha Riders MC, I make it my business to be familiar with everyone in Merry Field, California. But then her douchebag ex shows up with his fancy clothes and gold watch. Once his threats become violent, I have no choice but to step in and protect her.
When things get bloody, will Alexandra and Brewer find love amid the violence?
OTT everything, short read, FMC in danger, MMC helped and protected her.
Not a lot is explained about the MC life and what they are doing as a club. It was more focused on the main characters' relationship and on saving her.
Cute novella overall, with some 🔥, and HFN.
Being so rushed, we do not have much background on the MMC. We have a little bit more information on the FMC since someone from her past caused the conflict.
I'll continue the series (I already read the 2nd book, and this book's couple definitely has a HEA, despite the lack of an epilogue. Even short reads are better with a proper epilogue 😁 and it can be done, I've read it before 😂).
Alexandra is a bartender at a biker bar back in her home town after running from her crazy ex-fiancé. She has made a rule for herself and that’s that she doesn’t date her customers.
Brewer is a biker with the Alpha Riders MC and happens to come into the bar the same day her ex shows up trying to take her against her will. Brewer comes to the rescue but because of his action’s things are just starting to heat up.
For a quick read this book hit all the marks for me as a really good MC read. I love the bad boy alpha hero along with a strong female lead. I’m really looking forward for more to come from this author.
Loved it! Insta-love done right. Brewer was seriously the cutest biker. I loved how he stood up for Alexandra. Her ex fiancé was such a douche and Brewer protected her and I absolutely love that. I love MCs so much because they have each other back and this club definitely had not only Brewers back but Alexandra’s too. I’ll be continuing with this series for sure. The characters were great and it flowed nicely for a novella. Wasn’t super smutty but did have a little steam. A really great story!
This was a short book—so I expected things to move quickly and get right into the action. Strangely enough, it managed to feel dragged out. The pacing was sluggish, and the internal monologue and dialogue were surprisingly long-winded for a story this short.
The plot itself had potential and could’ve been interesting with sharper execution, but unfortunately, it just didn’t land for me. I don’t think I’ll be continuing the series.
2,75 stars It's not a bad book, but It's a bit rusched and we get to read very much of the FMC monolog to her self and it takes away a lot of the main story.
This story has it all- damsel in distress (although she probably would tell you that she isn't), tension between our two MC's, jealous ex and a hint of violence that will certainly keep you on the edge of your seat!
Brewer is the first story in the Alpha Riders MC series and follows Brewer, president of the Alpha Riders, and Alexandra, lowly bartender who is back in Merry Field to escape her ex, despite her strong desire to escape the very place she grew up years ago. Despite trying to remain low and keep her head down, things don't stay quiet for long during her shift at the bar and before the night is out, a whole new set of problems arises for Alexandra, and not all of them are bad.
What I have always loved about any story by Audrey Bell is that despite how short they are, the characters are always so thoroughly developed and the situations that the MCs, as well as the supporting characters find themselves in always are so carefully thought out and detailed that you never feel like you are lacking anything despite the length of the story. I also really enjoy how she takes some men who may not necessarily be the most savory of characters in the eyes of most of society and gives them dimension and another layer that makes you form a different opinion from what you see on the outside.
Brewer and Alexandra are no exception to any of the other characters that she writes- they both find this spark within each other that pulls them together and lights a fire that will never be doused by anything. The chemistry between these two is heavy and despite the fact that these are typically insta-love stories, they don't follow the same pattern as other stories that she has written-this one included. I also really love how we get a glimpse of the next character who gets a story arc in this book and I can't wait to pick that one up as well.
I love this story! It is book 1 in the Alpha Riders MC series and can be read as a standalone. Alexandra has a problem - her abusive ex. Brewer feels very protective of the strong yet vulnerable bartender. Will she accept the care and security he offers? Or will she run from another man she thinks is trying to control her? This is an entertaining short story with a page-turning plot, drama, violence, descriptive world-building details and simmering passion. Brewer is a good blend of thoughtful man, brutal fighter and savage lover. Great start to a new series and I will be looking forward to the next book!

This was just ok, but not great. I didn’t love the story or the characters. Some quick insta-love books have all the feels, so I know it’s possible, even in a short book, but this one was a miss for me. There was an external story of a stalker ex-boyfriend and it was mainly focused on that. I just didn’t get enough info about the two MC to really care about them at all, I could have used a few more details about each character. I assume they appear in this rest of the series but I always prefer a HEA over a HFN (which is how this abruptly ended- basically met & we’re together for a few days & book ends). I don’t plan on reading any more from this author, it just wasn’t steamy enough and I don’t really care about the characters.
Most enjoyable first story of the Alpha Riders MC Book
The first book of the Alpha Riders MC Book series titled "Brewer" was a very entertaining book. The lead Alpha Rider was named Brewer! And alpha he was for sure! He went into the Road Rage Bar with nine of his riders. Immediately he was attracted to the female bartender (Alexandra) - and the attraction was mutual! Unfortunately her Ex- fiance showed up and caused trouble which Brewer took care of easily! The mutual attraction between Brewer and Alexandra made for an excellent story! Highly enjoyed this romance and recommend this book to all readers! I am moving on to the next book in this series as this was such a fabulous read!
Alexandra and Brewer meet as she's bartending. She's in a new town as she's laying low. She's putting distance between her and her ex fiancé who is a prick.
Brewer is mesmerized after one look at Alexandra, and when he sees her ex, she shows up making demands on her, he's ready to step in. Alexandra tells him that she'll handle the issue and he backs off. Then he watches dude shove Alexandra and that's all she wrote, he steps in and hauls him out of the bar before giving him a beat down. Thus begins Alexandra and Brewer's journey to love.
I loved how Brewer didn't push Alexandra (after the ex she fault that she couldn't trust her own instincts regarding men).
Alexandra is a bartender in Merry Field, CA. She grew up there. She came back after escaping her abusive ex-fiance. Brewer is President of the Alpha Riders MC. He comes into the bar and notices Alexandra. She is backward and squeamish because of her past. Which comes back at the bar. Brewer doesn't hesitate to help her. He is drawn to her. She's drawn to him as well. I loved all of the characters. They were well written. I'm looking forward to more from this MC. I appreciated this not being a typical MC. There was no mention of club girls, lots of sex, cheating, etc. It was refreshing.

After breaking up with her ex, Alexandra moved back home to Merry Field and is trying to keep a low profile. Alpha Riders MC keep an eye on the town of Merry Field, Brewer is the club's pres. When Alexandra's ex comes pushing her around, Brewer steps in to help.
Alexandra is pulled to Brewer but keeps pushing him away to avoid him getting involved. Brewer does not take no for a word, when he sees Alexandra in trouble, he can't help but step in. This is a hot and heated fast read with a lot of passion and tension that grabs you from the start and keeps you with each turn of the page.

Alexandra thought she had gotten away from her ex fiancée until he showed up at her workplace and demands she go back with him. Brewer is Pres of the Alpha Riders, when he spots Alexandra he is instantly drawn to her and when her Ex gets pushy he draws the line, but has he just put himself and Alexandra in the line of more trouble. The chemestry sizzles between Brewer and Alexandra, though she pushes him away Brewer won't let her get hurt. Well written action, steamy, fast paced, desire filled, short MC romance
If you want a short read then this book is for you . It's about a biker named Brewer. He is the president of a MC that fell with a bartender named Alexandra that she came back home to get away from her ex fiance. Her ex fiance found her and started trouble and wanted her back in Brewer a very protective alpha that would not stand for anyone who mistreated any women especially Alexandra. It's a must read. You have to read it to know what happened to whoever mistreated his women that Brewer claimed.
I understand this is a short story. It was alright up til...of course...the author has to have to woman do a dumb B movie move. I almost stopped reading. It's like they can't make women think outside the box and sometimes...not that we don't like a hero to come save his girl but every once in awhile it doesn't have to be because she's made an over used chick move. I did like that it was fast paced. The story only extended over a 48 hour period so it might have been a bit too fact paced. It's ok if you're looking for a quick short read.
Alexandra is bartending in her hometown hoping her ex boyfriend won’t find her. Brewer is the president of the Alpha Riders MC. He’s interested in Alexandra but she doesn’t trust men. Then all hell breaks loose. Alexandra’s ex tries to convince her to get back with him. When Brewer steps in and beats her ex up, Stephen becomes even more unhinged. I liked seeing how Brewer protected Alexandra and helped her see that men are not all the same. That she can feel safe in the arms on the right man.
I very much enjoyed this book. Alexandria's ex-fiance hunted her down and is trying to make her his again. She wants nothing to do with him, Brewer see this and comes to her rescue. They have this instant attraction and he and his MC protect her from the psycho ex. The story grabbed your attention and had some action. It was good.

This was a short read, that was filled with amazing content, from how the characters were written to the plot, every page held my attention. I enjoyed how the main characters got together, he fell in love almost instantly with her and she returned the favor only a little later. There is some gore in this book but also some spice!.

A good short story about the president of a motorcycle gang and a bartender who ran away from her ex. Alexandra has been keeping her head down, serving behind a bar in the town where she grew up. Unfortunately, one evening her rich boy ex turns up and causes problems. Brewer doesn't like the way the creep is speaking to Alexandra and when things escalate, so does his temper. Hot read.
I just hate that this was called a book. When something takes 15 or 20 minutes to read it is definitely a magazine article and not a book. As far as articles go this was actually pretty good. You can read it in a waiting room while you're waiting for your turn to go back to the doctor's office. Please call these articles and not books! Absolutely you should read this while you're waiting in line at the grocery store. Shirley
Alexandra is working at a bar when her abusive, obsessed (not in a hot way) ex, Stephen, comes in looking for her. Brewer, President of the Alpha Riders MC, ends up kicking Stephens ass, but he knows that Stephen isn’t the type of guy to let that, or Alexandra, go.
I’m loving the way this author is writing these novellas. They’re only like 60 pages, but they read like they’re longer. I’m really enjoying them.
Alexandra has moved back to her hometown and is working in a biker's bar. When her ex-fiancé finds her, she is not pleased. He is nothing like she thought he would be and when he demands that she comes back with him Brewer comes to her rescue. He had taken notice of her and is drawn to her persona. As she and Brewer get to know each other her ex is planning how he is going to get rid of Brewer and get Alexandra back. Will Brewer be able to keep her safe.
Their first meeting is life changing: instant attraction, danger, and the protection begins! Brewer and Alexandra’s connection is visceral and he’ll never let anything or anyone hurt her or keep her from him. I loved the intensity between them, the dialogue was mature and efficient, and Audrey Bell really packed a this short story with emotion and desire! Very spicy and I’m so glad there’s more stories in the series!
This is a well written book with strong well developed characters and an action packed storyline. The author brings the heat along with the danger and delivers a great read with descriptive scenes. Loved it !!
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
This is loaded with danger and suspense when Alexandra who bartends where Brewer and his MC hangout and her nasty ex Gary tracks her down to drag her back. Brewer steps in and all heck breaks loose but in the end all that is left is the attraction between them.

This is the first book I have read by this author and I have to say it was a very good read. The story flowed really smoothly and was well written and held my attention for an afternoon. The main characters had romantic chemistry between them. Lots of MC action and adventure.

Super short, but its packed full of a good story, action, heat & drama! Its really not so much an MC read as could be any look into a new couples lives and romance with a crazy stalking, murderous ex! Free with k.u. good filler book until you find your next fabulous read!✌
I enjoyed reading this story. I liked the way the story progressed and all of the details and descriptions that just fit. I like how B could read her body language, and protected her. I loved the ending. A very good first impression for a new to me author. Yes, I’ll be reading the rest of this series.
