Forbidden Script

A fast paced short story that’s a whirlwind of romance, magic, and danger. The story left off in a bit of a hanger wondering what will happen next.

A short but great story! This is a new author for me and I'm glad I read it! From the beginning the author takes hold of your attention and barely lets go on the last page. This book is short but had some really interesting moments. There is psychic abilities and visions mixed into danger and love. The epilogue left me very curious as to how this story will play out.

Elora Roberts is a renown psychic and a hidden past. When she meets actor director Brennen Wentworth, she is honored to do his reading and become friends with him. They hit if off right away but when an ex comes back to haunt her, they decide to try and figure everything out and Elora needs to help get her past unlocked before it is too late.
Elora is a sweet woman who has this remarkable gift to talk to the dead and help people deal with their deep hidden pain. But there is a hidden pain in her past that is also haunting her. She is a gentle woman who really doesn't understand the real power she has. Brennen is almost to good to be true, he is an actor and a director who actually is a sweet, honest man who has a good heart and a sweet soul. They seem to have a chemistry that you can see instantly. They are well written and have a chance to grow into really complex characters.
This a short fast read that I sat down and read in an evening. This is a new author to me, and I was pleasantly surprised at how well written they are. They are such fun set of characters to read, and you will love the instant chemistry that they have with each other. I also love that this story is based in Canada using the small towns around Toronto as a backdrop. I am going to start book two right away need to find out what happens. A great set of books for your winter reading

This book has everything you would want from a short story that ends in a cliff hanger. The story flows well between story and characters. You have tragedy, loss, suspense, past trauma, witches, love and friendship. The characters including the secondary ones are enticing and keep you turning page after page so you can see what all the mystery was about. Elora and Brennen seem made for each other but a psychic and a writer/actor/director how will it even work out. She has dreamed about him for years but in not aware of who he was until they met. This writer has such a way with words that you fall into this story and will immediately read the second book. This is an engaging well written short read.

I enjoyed this story. I liked the protagonist, especially as I have the same spiritual interests as her, and it was interesting being in the point of view of a psychic. There are some intriguing plot points, but the book did end on a cliffhanger. The spiritual lessons and ideas were my favourite parts of the book, especially about following your intuition. I do think that it needed another edit as there were a few mistakes. I don't judge that as it happens to all of us as authors - just to take note. I'd like to read another one of Kali's books.

Wow! Such a great, intense beginning to an interesting series I can't wait to continue reading. Elora is a great psychic with a dark, troubling past which leads to what she will need to do next. Brennan is a handsome movie star, that has faced his own heartbreak to be open to a new love. This is a quick, intense read that ends with lots of questions and makes you excited for the next book in the series!!

I liked what I read, but it ended so abruptly that I'm not sure how I feel. These novellas are definitely not meant to be read separately. It will be interesting to see where the next book picks up. I can't even call this a cliffhanger. It's as if a large book was written and so many chapters were published per book. I want to read more, but I wish the conclusion was cleaner.

Darkness looming from the past.

Being open to ones future often is dependent on our past. Many experiences leave us closed to new beginnings. The keys to changing that are different for each of us. Healing takes time. Some things require much more effort to surpass than others.
