My father was the infamous Grim Reaper - the second in command of the Hunters.
My job was simple. Follow in the footsteps of my father, starting with my undercover mission to spy and take down the target.
Easy, right?
Except I didn't plan on liking the target. And I sure as hell didn't plan on falling in love with her best friend either.
The Hunter is a Black Spades Novella. It is the POV of another character from the series and therefore, you should have read the Black Spades Trilogy before starting The Hunter. It is intended to be read after the Black Spades and will contain spoilers from the series.
Fave Quote: "Her body was a temple, and I'll be fucking damned if I didn't come pray every chance I got."
This is The Hunter it is a short Novella of Levi's POV from the black spades trilogy. It's fast paced & jumps from scene to scene but fills in all those pieces you want, This was so heartbreaking the way Levi was treated by his own father had me seeing red 😡 I now understand the girls were truly his only family.. 🥹 The love, care & determination Levi had to help Blair was absolutely beautiful also we can't forget his best friend Benny too I need a book with more Levi & benny would be so cool. 🥰 The way levi was so in love with Quinn but that all came crashing down it broke my heart into a million pieces & how he found her with that one scene. 😭 Overall this was a fantastic little novella. I really enjoyed this series. It is so so good. I highly recommend it!!!
Trope's- Different Character POV Reverse Harem Romance Sad Fast Paced Violence Gangs Adult themes Must be read after Black Spades Trilogy
Must be read after the first 3 books since it contains major spoilers to what happened.
Levi's story and POV that starts off one year before transferring schools and meeting Blair and Quinn. Then speeds through the events of books 1 through 3 in his POV as an undercover agent for the Hunters, to the heartbreak, to helping Blair, and then switching.
Despite being short, you still get a good amount of smut in the first 60% between Levi and Quinn. I feel like this could've wrapped up better, but it ends with the final battle between Hunters and Spades. Wished Levi had an HEA epilogue too. Also glad Levi had such a good friend in Benny.
Wow, I can’t express how much I enjoyed this short book by Steph Macca, titled *The Hunter*. It kept me on my toes and brought me to tears. I felt deeply for Levi as he grappled with the loss of the love of his life, and I was moved by his determination to save his friend from a fate worse than death. I truly wish there was more to his story. This book definitely deserves five stars!
It is a novella from Black Spades and events are told from a different POV. Let me tell you... knowing what was coming, didn't make it any easier. I was not ready for any of it.
This must be read AFTER the Black Spades trilogy. If you enjoyed that one, you will definitely enjoy seeing some major events from Levi's POV.
This novella is the perfect accompaniment to the Black Spades trilogy, and is best read after the main series, so that you don't get spoilers. It runs concurrently with Blair's books, and adds a different POV to the events of the trilogy.
Honestly, my heart broke for Levi. Even knowing what was coming plot wise, his reactions and response truly hit hard.
I love that we got an alternate POV to the series, and it complemented the trilogy so well. I kind of wish we got more from Levi and his POV, but was left very satisfied with how his growth arc panned out.
A Novella that focuses on Levi's POV and his story that ran alongside the Trilogy the Black Spades books. So it's best to read this book after the other 3 books or it give out spoilers and not make as much sense. Sad in places but I'm glad that we got to read everything that's happened from a different perspective. I loved Benny but for me it felt like Levi and Benny's story wasn't finished yet or at least I'm hoping it's not?? We get more from both of them. A good addition to the Trilogy.
I really enjoyed reading Levi's story about meeting Blair and Quinn. Such a heartbreaking story but also about finding friendships and love. I really am Cross everything that there's going to be books on Levi and hopefully Benny too because I just need more!!
I really enjoyed this series. It is so good. Definitely a dark book and series so be sure to read the triggers.
This was a short quick story about Levi from the Spades series. You need to read the series before reading this to understand what went on in this book. I'm not giving things away as they would be spoilers from the other book's, but I would love for him to get another chance as well as his friend Benny. This book did shed some light on the things he and Benny did to help the Spades, but then again that would be a spoiler lol. Just read the series then read this book.
This is an additional gripping perspective from Levi's POV, an essential character in the Black Spades series; please read previous books first. As the son of the infamous Grim Reaper, Levi is tasked with an undercover mission that becomes complicated when he develops feelings for his target's best friend. Despite being a novella, the story deepens into Levi's internal struggles and adds emotional depth to the original series. It's a must-read for those who enjoyed the Black Spades series.
I love Levi’s story. It was sad but a great POV. I love the Black Spades trilogy and this book is important to the whole story. If you love the Black Spades, you must read this. I hope there will be more books related in the future.
This novella was fantastic, loved seeing everything from Levi’s point of view, it moves at a fast pace with such determination and really shows his love for Quinn and Blair. Overall a perfect addition to the series
Levi's Story I was so excited to get Levi's POV. We get to know him better and we get another side of the story. I think this book was an excellent companion to the Black Spades Trilogy. I loved it!
I Personally loved this little story so much, as it was just enough information to get the POV from someone who we thought was evil the whole time but it was really just someone who was dealt a bad hand in the life they were born in. I will say, knowing what was coming probably made it more sad to get it from this MC’s POV
This novella follows Levi’s pov through out the Black spades trilogy. I loved having a different pov, it definitely gives you a different perspective. Seeing more of these great characters is a great bonus. This book was a great addition to the series.
I loved getting Levi's view. Following someone so devoted to his friends that he was defying his "family" and where his loyalty was supposed to be. It was really sad to see some of those memorable scenes through his eyes though. Those stung more knowing all the sides and the ending.
This Focus on Levi views and is the alternate POV to the series. This was an emotional read. This story I devoured in one sitting and loved this view point from Levi.
I loved getting the Black Spades story from Levi’s POV. It gives you a completely new perspective on everything. You definitely have to have read the trilogy before diving into this one though .
I was suspicious of Levi whole reading the Black Spades series. But to see his side of the story made things clearer. Enjoyed getting to know the real Levi.
I love this novella mainly focuses Levi's POV. I highly suggest reading it only after reading the trilogy in its entirety. It definitely gives perspective.
I absolutely devoured this story and loved how we were able to read the story and get other information from another character's POV. I highly recommend checking this series out as it is amazing!
The Hunter: A Black Spades Novella (Black Spades 3.5) (Black Spades Trilogy) By: Steph Macca. This novella clarify many questions I had . I devour it in one reading .
I really love Levi! I’m so happy that I got to read things from his point of view. It helped clear up some things and definitely made me love him more. He is such a good guy - I’m glad he was able to find his place in the world. I also love Benny and hope that everything works out for him in the future.
