The Sadness Book is a guided journal that encourages readers to lean into negative emotions, engage in self-reflection and discover gratitude. Three carefully crafted chapters allow you to recognize & acknowledge your deepest emotions, invite you to step inside yourself, and ultimately help you gain clarity on your life’s path.
I’d argue a vast majority of the youth need a dose of this. Those who’ve experienced trauma and/or are going through depression have no such illusions about life. It’s possible to experience some upliftment, or at least emotional catharsis, if following along with the book as recommended by the author. I for one found myself astounded at one simple little thing that gave me pause. Not for anything else except the sheer absurdity that I’m not sure I can say I every genuinely aloud told myself that, “I love you.”
The book itself was fine and I understand in what way it could help people, but for me it wasn’t it. I learned some more about myself but I maybe had to much expectations that it would help me better through my situation.
3,5⭐️ napewno książka spodoba się osobom które lubią self - care i lubią pisać, dla mnie książka była w porządku, ale nie pomogła mi w niczym konkretnym, spoko na wieczory
This book helped me write down a lot of things that I have never been able to word. A lot of the pain I have neglected to talk about, and a lot of conversations I have often envisioned that have never happened. It was therapeutic to write down the parts of myself I considered ugly and destroy them. Words that are to ugly to speak to people in this moment that I could just let out. And then the healing part, it shows you the good in oneself and the world that one often struggles to see (at least me). I think this book will be helpful to anyone who is willing to be honest, it is meant to make you face the hard truth.
