Preface
All road lead back to Dramione fanfiction… eventually. What I can I say? They have the right amount of angst, past history, and hereditary legacies and mistakes to make the progression deliciously agonizing and sweet.
This time I picked more sweet than angsty. It was funny too because I could see their issues being lack of communication and not understanding each other’s love language. The Psychologist is me was glaring at their spread sheets with a raised eyebrow and a smirk. Truly, this fanfiction could be used as a good example of how to resolve those issues 🤣.
My brain is a strange place sometimes.

(Someone gets wounded and there are some very vivid descriptions of the wounds but they weren’t gory in nature)

▫️Hermione volunteering.
▫️Hermione being a domestic and work goddess.
▫️ Ginny and Harry being the cutest of all couples.
▫️Ginny and the baby making bra (🤣).
▫️Draco and James.
▫️ Harry being clueless (as always) but also dearly supportive.
▫️Narcissa Malfoy being the best future mother in law ever.
▫️the spice 😏.
▫️Draco’s love language being touch.
▫️Hermione and Draco listening to audio books.

▫️Hermione’s Marigold dress. It would just go so prettily with her hair and I compliment the autor for thinking of it.

📌“Draco briefly watched her before setting his fork down and reaching her hand. There was no sound in her throat, and she had no choice but to let him place her hand on top of his thigh. He picked his fork back up again and resumed eating as if nothing happened.
🥹 That’s so sweet
📌”With some convincing, James and Draco did play lions. Hermione was entirely too smug about it to the point that Draco had to threaten her.
“Tell Potter and I’ll hex you.” He warned as crawled on all fours while James clung to his back and neck. Hermione giggled, shaking her head and held up her hands in defense.
“I never said anything!”
“The look on your face tells me you’re enjoying this far too much. I’m sure you and all your Gryffindor friends would love to discuss this bit of information.” Draco said then James loudly roared to break up their conversation. Draco looked over his shoulder and smirked a bit before roaring back at the child.”
I don’t know how Hermione was not tempted to take some pictures.
📌”Who’s trying to shag Hermione?” Harry kept interrupting, his and James’ head bouncing between the two arguing witches.”
Poor Harry never knows what is going on 🤣.
📌“Who cares? Just wear it, tease him some, let him know what you got going on. This is the bra that got me pregnant with James.” She explained and Hermione gagged.
“Okay now I really don’t want to wear it.” She said disgusted.
“Come on! You have to!” Ginny whined as Hermione stood.
“Absolutely not. I don’t want your baby-making bra.” Hermione shook her head and headed for the floo. “You are the best for your insightful advice but I draw the line at wearing the bra that caused James to be conceived.”

📌”He picked it up three days ago, placed the order three months ago. It clearly wasn’t for her.”
His mum? Maybe? It would be the first thing I would think.
📌”There was no verbal confirmation.” She said, voice muffled by his shirt. Tears formed once she felt his hand wrap between the threads of her hair.
“I never thought there needed to be. Not when I want to spend everyday with you.” He said softly and she sobbed again.
“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry I feel like such a bloody idiot.” She admitted, her shoulders shaking as she tried to breathe normally.
“I assumed the time and attention I give you would be enough to convey my feelings for you. But if it’s not clear to you; yes, you are indisputably mine and I am unequivocally yours, Hermione.”
And this ladies and gentlemen is when a person who needs words of affirmation meets someone who needs quality time and they DONT COMMUNICATE THEIR NEEDS.

Fluff fic, Healer Hermione, Auror Draco. Horrible accident, severely injured and scarred. Well written sex scenes. Patient Draco (not only "A" patient but God like patience)
Hermione offers to help Draco with daily cleansing of his eye socket and balm for the scar. This in turn causes them to become closer and a relationship is formed. Loved little James in this one, enjoyed Ginny and Narcissa. All of that was a small part of the fic as it was mostly just the two of them building their relationship.
Hermione's insecurity was over the top. A little bit was fine, but by end of Chapter 5, the writer mentions in their notes that Hermione's deluded behaviour was par for the course for this fic. (responding to comments of the readers.) Since this was half way I thought I'd tough it out. She doesn't get better, Ginny wanted to hex her for being too much in her head. Which really was "hey I can't communicate so I'll make shit up in my head to get through whatever I think may be happening in this new relationship". I was very much onboard with a good hex. Her insecurity was stupidity at it's finest.
Thing is, I don't know where this was coming from. Previous poor relationship? Friends up and leaving all the time? who knows. That wasn't relayed so I was left confused why she was even like this. Tags that could have helped "miscommunication" and "insecure"
