Easy Rian has been lead singer for Blinding Light since the band was formed. Through the years many things have changed. Not all of them good. When the lead guitarist leaves mid-tour, the rest of the band is left waiting to see if they’ll continue on to Rocktoberfest, or if this is where their tour ends.
Liam Tarrant has been playing guitar for as long as he can remember. When he gets the chance to audition for Blinding Light, he jumps at the chance. Meeting the band is surreal, especially the lead singer, Easy. Liam has always had a crush on Easy, but he never thought he’d get the chance to meet him, let alone spend time alone with him.
Easy is drawn to Liam, no matter how much he wants to deny it. When the two are thrown together over practice and planning the upcoming tour, attraction grows between the two of them that neither can deny. But falling in love on tour could be what finally ends Blinding Light, and both of them will need to choose what’s more important to them. Love or music, can they have it all? #Rockstar #mmromance #grumpysunshine #friendstolovers
The writing was all over the place, things kept getting repeated and the characters had nothing to them. There was also sooooo much dialogue and so much of it that was completely unnecessary, plus the characters sound robotic and like they're just going through the motions.
I don't get why they agree to wait until after one particular show to act on their attraction to each other, so it doesn't cause problems for the band if it turns out bad - are you never playing again after that show??
There was absolutely no tension and everything that happened was completely unbelievable. I think my favourite part was when their high flying lawyer took two minutes to arrive after a vague phonecall, then a paragraph to sort everything out their every issue and then disappears into the ether never to be mentioned again! Does he hide outside the practice space? Is he stalking them? So weird!
I'm also confused about the band itself. They're introduced as an established, pretty successful group with a label and a tour booked, yet they behave like this isn't the case. The gigs they have booked for the tour all get changed last minute, on the same day and there's no issues? Either they're successful which is why the three original band members don't have other jobs, or they're struggling in which case how is Liam, the new band member, the only one with a day job?? Also they turn up at this huge festival and haven't done any soundcheck or planned any of their setup...
Overall Opinion This book was such a smooth sailing of a read, it flowed so well and the story really worked! The chemistry between Easy and Liam was impeccable and they kept me hooked the entire time wondering will they, won't they! We have Easy, the lead singer of the band Blinding Light, teetering on the edge of whether or not the band will last or if this is their last hurrah, and Liam, the new guitarist asked to fill in for the upcoming Rocktoberfest concert. Liam has always had a crush on Easy, and Easy is instantly interested in Liam, but they make the decision to hold of starting anything until after the concert to see if anything could come of them. The constant edging these two had going on was *chefs kiss* and I felt all the feels with them. They were so sweet to each other, and the pining - oh the pining!! Even though there was an age-gap between the two, you got the sense they were completely on the same wave length as one another, and it absolutely worked! Overall this was a fantastic read and I loved it with all my soul!

Nice. Easy and Liam are an interesting couple. They got off to a rocky start, thanks to some underhanded maneuvering. That got nipped in the bud, fortunately! Still, Liam had to earn his spot and the trust of the band. Easy is your typical rock n roll player. He’s jaded by the things he’s seen in the music business. He loves the music, but hates the other side of things. Liam still has stars in his eyes. Especially when it comes to Blinding Light. Easy helps Liam adjust to being in the band. By turn, Liam reminds all of them why they’re in this business, and that’s the love of the music. There’s no shortage of heat, but this story is just a bit different- Easy and Liam decide to hold off on taking things to the next level. It’s so sweet! It’s not easy for them, but they do it. Recommend!

When the band, Blinding Light, loses their lead guitarist in the middle of their tour, the band has to decide whether to hire someone and continue on to Rocktoberfest or just end it all here. Easy Rian is the lead singer for them and works with the new guitarist they hire, Liam Tarrant.
Liam is delighted to meet the band members, most especially Easy. Spending the time with him in practice starts an easy attraction between the two of them. A decision to pursue that could cost them the band. Will they have to choose one or the other choice? Or can they have each other and keep the band together and successful?
4.5 stars a great audio to listen too. I swear the narrator is another vocalist I listen to with a different name. Does Guy Veryzer have another narrator name, hmm.
Sadly I didn’t connect with this book. One dimensional characters and storylines that were introduced and never resolved. I love this series but not this one.
Reread as audiobook. While this is not a favourite narrator (I sometimes find the tone and tempo irritating), this was very well done, and I appreciated the way the song lyrics were read. Story - 3.5 stars. A good story about a somewhat older band who were more or less giving up until joined by Liam. Easy and Liam were really attracted to each other but managed to keep to their slow burn agreement. This wasn't meant to be a top of the world band, which I really liked, also that there was very little negativity. Easy's parents were so very cool, I would have loved to see more of them.
I loved the first season of this shared world, and as I’d already read and enjoyed other books by this author, I had to pick this up. It didn’t disappoint with its mix of music and romance set against a backdrop of a music festival. I enjoyed meeting Easy, Liam, and the rest of their band and was cheering for them from the beginning of their story.
Blinding Light is a brilliant name for a song, and band. I liked how Easy and Liam connected through their shared love of music, tried to be professional and stay friends until after Rockoctoberfest, yet found it increasingly difficult to do so. I also liked how the resulting slow burn gave them time to get to know each other, and loved how Liam brings out Easy’s softer side.
The story isn’t high angst, but I liked that about it, and also how it showed the day to day of being a musician. The band and their gigs felt realistic, especially with Liam’s nervousness, and Rory’s dodgy stomach before performances. I thought the author captured the high that goes with a performance well.
I liked Rory and Glen too. They meshed well as friends outside playing music together. I wasn’t sure about Vance but he grew on me as the story progressed. The less said about Trace, the better. No only is he full of himself but he’s clueless too.
I loved the glimpse of the band 2 years later. I’m looking forward to reading more of this year’s Rocktoberfest.
I really enjoyed this book. Good world building and wonderful characters. I'd read the book recently and was excited to get my hands on the audiobook. I loved Easy and Liam. They were really sweet together, their chemistry sizzled, and I liked how their music melded together. I loved the other band members and how they had each others' backs and supported each other. The story line was interesting and suspenseful.
I've listened to Guy Veryzer narrate a number of BL Maxwell's books, and while I'm not crazy for his narrations, this book was better than the others. My main complaint is that at one point in the story when Easy got upset, his Irish accent came out more. From that point onward, I could hear an Irish sounding accent, but before that point in the story, there was none and no hint of it. So it felt like it came out of no where... because it did.
It's like the narrator didn't know the character was supposed to have an accent until mention of it came up in the story, and then he added it in from then onward, but never bothered to go back and re-record all of Easy's previous lines with his accent. I also didn't like that Easy's inner monologue and commentary didn't have the accent, but his speaking dialogue did. It just creates a disassociation for me, especially as my brain then keeps trying to tell me it's a different character because Easy has an accent, and I found it distracting.
This book is like the best of the BL Maxwell books I have read like Cake Clash. But whereas that book was all sugar and about winning a baking prize, This book is about a band that almost seemed down on its luck until a new guitarist and voice to go harmony to the lead vocalist joined the group Blinding Light. Their manager was even unsure about them. They redid his contract. He started getting Blinding Light great gigs leading up to Rocktoberfest. On the side, Easy, the vocalist is really into Liam the new guy and vice versa. They keep stepping around each other. They made an agreement nothing would happen until after Rocktoberfest. That didn’t mean they could not kiss. Well at the beginning they tried not to. Liam and Easy found that the longer they just got to know each other, they found real feelings in all that getting to know you stuff. This is a definite must read! Looking forward to the rest of the series although they are all different authors. I am finding I do not Like the BL MAXWELL mysteries as much. This kind of book I love! 10/10+ A definite Must Read!
OMG this book was outstanding and so entertaining regarding a sweet bromance that builds to so much more!
Easy Rian and the new guitarist Liam Tarrent for Blinding Light has a connection right from their first meeting and both know it will be more than a hook up so they make a deal to wait till after Rocktoberfest ….
It was a sweet bromance that bloomed as they got to know each other as the weeks progressed with every concert until the very last one…..
“ We met on a whim, a bit of a chance”
“But you rocked my world, and I rocked you right back”
“Love struck, you blind me with the light of your love“
Oh the feels with this book was so heartfelt and sweet not to mention steamy as their pent up feelings built and built with every week that passed but will it last or were they just blinded by the light?.

Totally hooked Wow I was totally hooked on this book from the first chapter wow the attraction between Liam and Easy, it is just like lightning it is just will they? won’t they? oh my gosh I take my hat off to them for being strong and saying they won’t do anything until the Rockoberfest is over but it is just sizzling. I was so excited for these two throughout this read I just could not put the book down. There’s a lot of other things going on within this book about the group Being manipulated and lied to and will the group stay together or will they break up or will they be replaced there’s so many questions going on in this book but for me this attraction had me buzzing. I’m so excited now just writing this review. I could not put this book down!.

A nice slow burn romance. This Roctoberfest 2022 entry features a band who’s not on their way up but an established band who is beginning to fade away. With a sexy new guitarist new life get breathed into their music. An age gap trope with two musicians focusing on the music and there attraction gets put on the back burner until after the big show. So it simmers through out the story.
A few plot holes exist, evil studio exec is around but never really does anything nefarious but plot; Some missed opportunities for angst and make it interesting. Liam, the kid, we don’t get much of his background whereas Easy’s parents come to shows and ‘old times’ with the band are discussed.
It’s a sweet story and within the theme of the series. It just needs a bit more characters development and world building to be amazing.
I really liked Liam, he was all starry-eyed and sweet with the band, but he was also very talented. I wasn't too sure about Easy at first, but thankfully, he wasn't a jerk to Liam for too long. LOL They had amazing chemistry both as part of the band and as a couple, even if they decided to take things slow. Liam was younger than Easy and the rest of the band, but he fit in with them so perfectly.
This was a fantastic read, entertaining, with some light angst, and some mutual pining from our MCs, you definitely can't go wrong with this lovely standalone story set in The Road to Rocktoberfest 2022 series. Recommendable!

Let the music speak. Blinding Light is on tour with Octoberfest being the final destination. Lots of things, life changes happening during the tour. Easy, is the lead singer. Midway through, the lead guitarist leaves. Liam, gets an opportunity to join the band. He is a fanboy crushing on Easy. It's a dream come true for Liam. Easy, finds himself taking more than a professional interest in Liam. The tour becomes about priorities and self care. As Easy and Liam get to know each better, they like each other better. The story has a smooth flow, lots of fun and some serious time. Will Liam and Easy be able to work together? Will putting Blinding Light first help or hurt? Good story, nice flow. Great characters. Well done! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Very slow burn story about a rock band that used to be successful but the shine has lost its luster. At this point, they're trying to bring themselves back to life and having an infusion of new blood - the guitarist Liam - seems to help revive them. Easy, the lead singer, seems drawn to Liam's flame but manages to resist until after the big show. While I was excited about the premise of this book, there are some...leaps and plot holes and missing info that made this story shine less than I had hoped. It was entertaining enough if I looked all that over stuff, especially as I was listening to the audiobook narrated by Guy Verizer. The narrator does a fine job overall, though he always sound a bit old for the characters to me.
I enjoyed the book a lot because it provided some narrative tension, as well as a slow burning love story. The author did a good job of portraying the tensions, anxieties, and triumphs of a local band trying to gain national recognition. Both Easy and Liam had well-developed personalities, and they both ran counter to the expected stereotype of totally hedonistic rockers. They shared a strong work ethic and a passion for making music that gave them a believable incentive for resisting their physical attraction until the time was right.

Who can deny that rock stars are not the bomb. Easy, Glen and Rory have been playing together in Blinding Light for over a decade. When their lead guitarist quits, Liam got hired to fill in. Liam had a crush on Easy when he saw them play before and was so happy to come in to play with them for Rockoberfest. He hit it off with the other band members and it was a joy to watch. The chemistry between Easy and Liam was hot but they decided to wait until after the big show. Great non angsty steamy book. Loved it and recommend.
This was such a sweet read! Easy and Liam were instantly attracted to each other but with Liam trying to get in the band and the band having some issues with management they decided to take it slow and get to know one another before anything happened between them. Oh what torture that was for them! Fantastic and such sweet characters! These two just clicked and you can’t help but love them and hope everything turns out good! A very enjoyable read with a great storyline! Highly recommend! I am voluntarily leaving an honest review for this complimentary copy of this book
A story about decisions - does Blinding Light continue after they lose their lead guitarist, can the band take over managing themselves, is Liam the right fit for the band and finally what are Easy and Liam going to be to each other? The answers are wonderfully delivered in this slow burn story and the the payoffs at the end are so worth the wait. Easy and Liam together explode in their relationship and in the concert that closes the book. Something that happens at that concert will have you grinning from ear to ear and might even give you a role model.
Blinding Light is part of the multi author Road to Rocktoberfest 2022. Easy is the lead singer for Blinding Light and has been since the band formed. Liam has always played the guitar. When the lead guitarist for Blinding Light leaves in the middle of a tour, Liam auditions. This was fantastic!! The story hooked me and sucked me right in. It flowed so smoothly! The chemistry between Easy and Liam was fire, and I worried my kindle would spark! Overall, a fantastic read!! Well written with pacing that flowed!
Easy and Liam’s worlds collide when a sudden need for a guitarist arises mid-tour. Fighting his attraction from the start, Easy tries to resist the connection between him and Liam. Liam has had a crush on Easy for years, so when an opportunity arose to play guitar in the band, he jumped at the chance. Forced together again and again while preparing for the next tour, they soon give in to the passion igniting between them.
Falling in love on tour is never an easy task, and soon they will need to make a choice as to what is more important to them. The music… or their love?
Tragedy strikes and tough decisions have to be made. The band lost their lead guitarist while in the middle of their tour. Instead of taking what would be perceived as the easy way out, Easy hires a new guitarist, Liam. He's thrilled to meet and be working with the band. Let the slow burn romance begin between Easy and Liam. The more time they spend together, sparks fly.
Really sweet, loving, and entertaining.

This story is quite fun. “Rock gods” while performing, all are friends and some are lovers. The story is a fast paced, on stage rock and roll show with a romantic element thrown in. Easy and Liam are a good love story but the band, their assertive business success, their strength as a band and their friendships make the story even stronger. Engaging and enjoyable.

Blinding Light has been rocking for years. With an invitation to ROCKTOBERFEST they got to get to work. Lead singer Easy is blindsided by management with a new guitarist. Liam is young but plays like a seasoned vet. BL MAXWELL writes a slow burn you don't usually see in Rock N' Roll but it's perfect for this Rock adventure. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND THE ROAD TO ROCKTOBERFEST 2022 SERIES!!!!!!!!!!
This is a well written book with strong characters and a sweet and sexy storyline. The author brings a slow burn romance between Easy and Liam. She does a great job pulling you into the story with her perfectly painted scenes and delivers another great read.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
Easy and the rest of the band mates of Blinding Lights just don't seem to have the enthusiasm that they once had. They just lost anther lead guitarist and their manager comes in with a new one. Liam is young and loves everything about music. He brings that back to the band but he also brings love to the lead singer, Easy. I really enjoyed this book.
Blinding Light is a band and Easy Rain the lead singer. During the tour their lead guitarist leaves the band. The other members wonder if this is the end of the tour. Guitarist Liam Tarrant gets a chance to audition for the lead guitarist position and gets the job. This is a rockstar story with plenty of drama. A very fun read with a good ending.
If a group can't keep it all together, lose the thrill of it all, even the manager has doubts. Liam, long-time fan of Blinding Light, can't believe it when he's pulled in as replacement for their last guitarist. His drive, his skill, fires them up - and Easy feels more than musical sparks from him.
3.5 stars. A good story about a somewhat older band who were more or less giving up until joined by Liam. Easy and Liam were really attracted to each other but managed to keep to their slow burn agreement. This wasn't meant to be a top of the world band which was really likeable, also that there was very little negativity. Easy's parents are so very cool, I would have loved to see more of them.
